Description
燃料噴射弁から噴射された燃料噴霧を電極部に集約させて、少ない燃料で燃焼安定性を十分に確保できる筒内噴射型内燃機関を提供することにある。
図1は、本発明に係るエンジン1(内燃機関)の概略内部構造図である。
Claims (2)
- 燃焼室内に直接燃料を噴射する燃料噴射弁と、前記燃料噴射弁からの燃料噴霧の噴射経路近傍に電極部が配置された点火プラグとを備え、前記燃料噴射弁から噴射された燃料噴霧が前記電極部近傍を通過したときに点火する筒内噴射型内燃機関において、
前記燃料噴射弁から噴射されて前記点火プラグの側部外方へ向かう燃料を前記電極部へ導入する導入部材を備え、
前記導入部材は、前記燃料噴射弁の噴射口と前記電極部とを結ぶ線を挟んで両側に設けられ、前記点火プラグが設けられるシリンダヘッドの前記燃焼室に対応する部分に配置された一対の柱状部材であって、
前記柱状部材は、それぞれに設けられた平面からなる第1の側面が、前記電極部の側方位置で前記噴射口と該電極部とを結ぶ線に対して垂直に該噴射口と対面するように配置され、前記柱状部材のそれぞれに設けられた第2の側面が、前記電極部の側方位置で前記噴射口と該電極部とを結ぶ線に対して平行に該噴射口と対面するように配置され、横断面の形状が、前記第1の側面と前記第2の側面とのなす中心角を90度とする扇状であることを特徴とする筒内噴射型内燃機関。 - 前記燃料噴射弁の噴射口と前記電極部とを結ぶ線上に、燃料噴霧の通過を妨げる壁部材を更に備えたことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の筒内噴射型内燃機関。
