Description
(a)ジルコニウムの化合物、前記添加剤の化合物及び随意としてのアルミニウム又はケイ素の化合物を含む混合物を形成させる工程;
(b)前記混合物に塩基性化合物を存在させて沈殿を得る工程;
(c)前記沈殿を液状媒体中で加熱する工程;
(d)前の工程で得られた沈殿に、アニオン性界面活性剤、ノニオン性界面活性剤、ポリエチレングリコール、カルボン酸及びそれらの塩並びにカルボキシメチル化脂肪アルコールエトキシラートタイプの界面活性剤から選択される化合物を添加する工程;
(e)こうして得られた沈殿を焼成する工程。
R2、R3、R4及びR5は、すべて同一であって水素を表わすこともでき、また、R2がCH3基を表わし且つR3、R4及びR5が水素を表わすこともでき、
nは0以外であって50にまで至ることができる整数、より特定的には5〜15の範囲であることができる整数(これらの値は境界を含む)である}。
この界面活性剤は、上記の式においてR1が飽和であることができる物質及び不飽和であることができる物質の混合物、又はさらに−CH2−CH2−O−基及び−CH(CH3)−CH2−O−基を同時に有する物質から成ることができる。

・硝酸セリウム(Ce4+236.5g/リットル、Ce3+15.5g/リットルの濃度で、遊離酸性度0.7Nのもの)79ミリリットル
・硝酸ランタン(C=454g/リットル)5.5ミリリットル
・硝酸ネオジム(C=524g/リットル)4.8ミリリットル。
4時間、900℃=57m2/g
4時間、1000℃=48m2/g
10時間、1000℃=43m2/g
4時間、1100℃=26m2/g
10時間、1200℃=2.5m2/g。
4時間、900℃=88m2/g
4時間、1000℃=58m2/g

Claims (16)
- 酸化ジルコニウムをベースとする組成物であって、且つ酸化イットリウムを含む添加剤を組成物の重量を基準とした添加剤酸化物の重量として多くとも50重量%含むこと、該組成物が1000℃において10時間の焼成後に少なくとも14m2/gの比表面積及び900℃において4時間の焼成後に少なくとも25m2/gの比表面積を有すること、並びに該組成物が酸化セリウムを含まないことを特徴とする、前記組成物。
- 酸化ジルコニウムをベースとする組成物であって、且つ酸化イットリウムと、プラセオジムの酸化物、ランタンの酸化物及びネオジムの酸化物から選択される少なくとも1種の酸化物とを含む添加剤を組成物の重量を基準とした添加剤酸化物の重量として多くとも50重量%含むこと、該組成物が1000℃において10時間の焼成後に少なくとも14m2/gの比表面積を有すること、並びに該組成物が酸化セリウムを含まないことを特徴とする、前記組成物。
- 1000℃において10時間の焼成後に少なくとも25m2/gの比表面積を有することを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の組成物。
- 1000℃において10時間の焼成後に少なくとも30m2/gの比表面積を有することを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の組成物。
- 1000℃において10時間の焼成後に少なくとも40m2/gの比表面積を有することを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の組成物。
- 5nm〜500nmの範囲の寸法のメソ孔を有することを特徴とする、請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載の組成物。
- 寸法中心がそれぞれ10nm及び60nm付近であるメソ孔の2つの母集団を有することを特徴とする、請求項1〜6のいずれかに記載の組成物。
- 添加剤濃度が組成物の重量を基準とした添加剤酸化物の重量として多くとも50重量%であることを特徴とする、請求項1〜7のいずれかに記載の組成物。
- 前記添加剤濃度が10%〜40%の範囲であることを特徴とする、請求項8に記載の組成物。
- 酸化アルミニウム又はシリカを追加的に含むことを特徴とする、請求項1〜9のいずれかに記載の組成物。
- 多くとも100ppmの硫酸アニオン含有率(SO4 -/組成物全体の重量比として)を有することを特徴とする、請求項1〜10のいずれかに記載の組成物。
- 多くとも50ppmの硫酸アニオン含有率(SO4 -/組成物全体の重量比として)を有することを特徴とする、請求項1〜11のいずれかに記載の組成物。
- (a)ジルコニウムの化合物、前記添加剤の化合物及び、調製されるべき組成物が酸化アルミニウム又はシリカを含む場合には、アルミニウム又はケイ素の化合物を含む混合物を形成させる工程;
(b)前記混合物に塩基性化合物を存在させて沈殿を得る工程;
(c)前記沈殿を液状媒体中で少なくとも100℃の温度に加熱する工程;
(d)工程(c)で得られた沈殿に、アニオン性界面活性剤、ノニオン性界面活性剤、ポリエチレングリコール、カルボン酸及びそれらの塩並びにカルボキシメチル化脂肪アルコールエトキシラートタイプの界面活性剤から選択される化合物を添加する工程;
(e)工程(d)で得られた沈殿を焼成する工程:
を含むことを特徴とする、請求項1〜12のいずれかに記載の組成物の製造方法。 - 硝酸塩、酢酸塩及び塩化物から選択される化合物をジルコニウムの化合物、前記添加剤の化合物及びアルミニウムの化合物として用いることを特徴とする、請求項13に記載の方法。
- 金属又はセラミックモノリスタイプの基材上に請求項1〜12のいずれかに記載の組成物をベースとするコーティングを含むこと、及び貴金属を前記組成物に担持された形で含むことを特徴とする内燃エンジンからの排気ガスを処理するための触媒。
- 請求項15に記載の触媒を触媒として用いることを特徴とする、内燃エンジンからの排気ガスを処理する方法。
