Description
(a)セリウム化合物と、ジルコニウム化合物と、適宜上記の希土類金属化合物とを含む混合物を形成させ、
(b)該混合物と塩基性化合物とを接触させ、それによって沈殿を得、
(c)該沈殿を水性媒体中で加熱し、
(d)前工程で得られた沈殿物にカルボキシメチル化脂肪アルコールエトキシレート型の界面活性剤を添加し、
(e)このようにして得られた沈殿物を焼成すること
を含むことを特徴とする、このような組成物の製造方法に関するものでもある。
R1−O−(CR2R3−CR4R5−O)n−CH2−COOH
(式中、R1は、飽和又は不飽和炭素鎖であってその長さが一般にせいぜい22個の炭素原子、好ましくは少なくとも12個の炭素原子であるものを表し、R2、R3、R4及びR5は同一であってよく、そして水素を表し、又は、R2はCH3基を表すことができ、そしてR3、R4及びR5は水素を表し、nは50まで、より具体的には5〜15を範囲とすることができるゼロでない整数であるが、ここで、これらの値は算入するものとする。)
に相当し得る。界面活性剤は、R1がそれぞれ飽和及び不飽和であり得る上記式の物質又は−CH2−CH2−O−及び−C(CH3)−CH2−O−基の両方を含む物質の混合物からなることができることに留意すべきである。
撹拌ビーカーに、硝酸ジルコニウム(80g/L)と、IIIの酸化状態の硝酸セリウム(496g/L)と、調製される様々組成物に応じて硝酸ランタン(454g/L)、硝酸ネオジム(524g/L)及び/又は硝酸プラセオジムとを導入した。次いで、これらの硝酸塩の溶液を1リットル得るように、蒸留水を添加した。
OSC(mL.g-1.s-1)=[Δ(CO)×dCO]/(2×P)
(式中、Δ(CO)は1秒につき転化されたCOの量を表し、dCOはCOの流量を表し、Pは試料の質量を表す。)
を使用してO2のmL/グラム/秒で表した。
Claims (22)
- 酸化セリウム及び酸化ジルコニウムからなる又は酸化セリウムと、酸化ジルコニウムと、セリウム以外の希土類金属の少なくとも1種の酸化物とを主成分とする組成物において、900℃で4時間の第1焼成、次いで1000℃で10時間の第2焼成の後に、5%以下の比表面積の変化を示すことを特徴とする、前記組成物。
- 900℃で4時間の焼成後に、少なくとも8m 2 /gの比表面積を有することを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 酸化セリウム及び酸化ジルコニウムからなる組成物において、900℃で4時間の焼成、次いで1000℃で10時間の別の焼成の後に、20%以下の比表面積の変化を示し、しかも900℃で4時間の焼成、次いで1100℃で10時間の別の焼成の後に、20%以下の比表面積の変化を示すことを特徴とする、前記組成物。
- 酸化セリウムと、酸化ジルコニウムと、セリウム以外の希土類金属の少なくとも1種の酸化物とを主成分とする組成物において、900℃で4時間の第1焼成、次いで1000℃で10時間の第2焼成の後に、15%以下の比表面積の変化を示し、しかも900℃で4時間の焼成、次いで1100℃で10時間の別の焼成の後に、20%以下の比表面積の変化を示すことを特徴とする、前記組成物。
- 900℃で4時間の焼成後に、少なくとも8m 2 /gの比表面積を有することを特徴とする、請求項3に記載の組成物。
- 900℃で4時間の焼成後に、少なくとも15m 2 /gの比表面積を有することを特徴とする、請求項4に記載の組成物。
- 1000℃で4時間の焼成後に、少なくとも8m 2 /gの比表面積を有することを特徴とする、請求項1〜6のいずれかに記載の組成物。
- 1200℃で10時間の焼成後に、少なくとも3m 2 /gの比表面積を有することを特徴とする、請求項1〜6のいずれかに記載の組成物。
- 請求項1、2、4又は6のいずれかに記載の、酸化セリウムと、酸化ジルコニウムと、セリウム以外の希土類金属の少なくとも1種の酸化物とを主成分とする組成物において、1200℃で10時間の焼成後に、少なくとも8m 2 /gの比表面積を有することを特徴とする、前記組成物。
- 900℃で4時間の第1焼成、次いで1000℃で10時間の第2焼成の後に、10%以下の比表面積の変化を示すことを特徴とする、請求項3〜6のいずれかに記載の組成物。
- 900℃で4時間の第1焼成、次いで1000℃で10時間の第2焼成後に、5%以下の比表面積の変化を示すことを特徴とする、請求項3〜6のいずれかに記載の組成物。
- 1200℃での第3焼成後に、1000℃で10時間の焼成後の比表面積と1200℃で10時間の焼成後の比表面積との間で測定される比表面積の変化が75%以下であることを特徴とする、請求項3〜6のいずれかに記載の組成物。
- 1200℃での第3焼成後に、1000℃で10時間の焼成後の比表面積と1200℃で10時間の焼成後の比表面積との間で測定される比表面積の変化が60%以下であることを特徴とする、請求項3〜6のいずれかに記載の組成物。
- 10/90〜90/10の酸化セリウム/酸化ジルコニウム質量比を示すことを特徴とする、請求項1〜6のいずれかに記載の組成物。
- 請求項1、2、4又は6に記載の、酸化セリウムと、酸化ジルコニウムと、セリウム以外の希土類金属の少なくとも1種の酸化物とを主成分とする組成物において、0.25〜4の酸化セリウム/酸化ジルコニウム質量比を示すことを特徴とする、前記組成物。
- ランタン、ネオジム及びプラセオジムから選択されるセリウム以外の希土類金属の少なくとも1種の酸化物を含むことを特徴とする、請求項1、2、4又は6に記載の組成物。
- セリウム以外の希土類元素の酸化物の含有量が20重量%以下であることを特徴とする、請求項1、2、4又は6に記載の組成物。
- 次の工程:
(a)セリウム化合物と、ジルコニウム化合物と、適宜前記セリウム以外の希土類金属化合物とを含む混合物を形成させ、
(b)該混合物と塩基性化合物とを接触させ、それによって沈殿物を得、
(c)該沈殿物を水性媒体中で少なくとも100℃の温度に加熱し、
(d)前工程で得られた沈殿物にカルボキシメチル化脂肪アルコールエトキシレート型の界面活性剤を添加し、
(e)このようにして得られた沈殿物を焼成すること
を含むことを特徴とする、請求項1〜6のいずれかに記載の組成物の製造方法。 - 前記混合物と塩基性化合物とを、該混合物を溶液状の塩基性化合物に導入することによって接触させることを特徴とする、請求項18に記載の方法。
- 沈殿物を少なくとも130℃の温度に加熱することを特徴とする、請求項18又は19に記載の方法。
- 請求項1〜6のいずれかに記載の組成物を含むことを特徴とする触媒系。
- 内燃機関の排気ガスを処理する方法において、請求項21に記載の触媒系又は請求項1〜6のいずれかに記載の組成物を触媒として使用することを特徴とする、内燃機関の排気ガスを処理する方法。
