図8に示すように、第1実施例の高周波増幅器は、包絡線検波器402、リミッタ403、電力計測器404、可変利得増幅器405、AD変換器406、電圧制御装置407、スイッチングアンプ408、ローパスフィルタ409及び高周波増幅器410を備えている。
図11に示すように、第2実施例の高周波増幅器は、包絡線検波器502、リミッタ503、電力計測器504、オペアンプ505、AD変換器506、電圧制御装置507、スイッチングアンプ508、ローパスフィルタ509、高周波増幅器510及び減衰器512を備えている。
図13に示すように、第3実施例の電力増幅器は、包絡線検波器602、リミッタ603、電力計測器604、可変利得増幅器605、AD変換器606、2ポート入力の乗算器607、電圧制御装置608、高周波増幅器609及びバンドパスフィルタ610を備えている。
図14に示すように、第4実施例の電力増幅器は、包絡線検波器702、リミッタ703、電力計測器704、オペアンプ705、AD変換器706、乗算器707、電圧制御装置708、高周波増幅器709、バンドパスフィルタ710、減衰器712及び包絡線検波器713を備えている。
Claims (6)
- 振幅変調成分及び位相変調成分を含む高周波変調信号を増幅する電力増幅器であって、
前記振幅変調成分である包絡線信号をパルス変調するAD変換器と、
前記位相変調成分である包絡線が一定な位相変調信号と前記AD変換器の出力信号を合成する乗算器と、
前記乗算器の出力信号を増幅する高周波増幅器と、
前記高周波増幅器の出力信号から帯域外ノイズを除去するバンドパスフィルタと、
前記高周波増幅器へ電源電圧を供給し、外部から供給される前記高周波増幅器の出力信号の平均電力を制御するための制御信号にしたがって該電源電圧を変化させる電圧制御装置と、
を有する電力増幅器。 - 前記AD変換器の入力信号の平均電力を一定な値にする電力制御手段を有する請求項1記載の電力増幅器。
- 前記電力制御手段は、
前記AD変換器の入力信号の平均電力を、前記高周波変調信号の変調方式に応じて切り替える利得制御部を有する請求項2記載の電力増幅器。 - 前記高周波変調信号から前記包絡線信号を抽出する包絡線検波器と、
前記高周波変調信号から前記位相変調信号を抽出し、前記乗算器に出力するリミッタと、
を有し、
前記電力制御手段は、
前記包絡線検波器の出力信号を、外部からの制御信号によって決まる所望の利得で増幅し、前記AD変換器へ出力する可変利得増幅器と、
前記包絡線検波器の出力信号に基づき、前記可変利得増幅器の利得を設定するための制御信号及び前記電圧制御装置の出力電圧を設定するための制御信号を生成する電力計測器と、
を備える請求項1から3のいずれか1項記載の電力増幅器。 - 前記高周波変調信号から前記包絡線信号を抽出する第1の包絡線検波器と、
前記バンドパスフィルタの出力信号の包絡線を示す包絡線信号を抽出する第2の包絡線検波器と、
前記高周波変調信号から前記位相変調信号を抽出し、前記乗算器に出力するリミッタと、
を有し、
前記電力制御手段は、
前記第2の包絡線検波器の出力信号のレベルを減衰する減衰器と、
前記第1の包絡線検波器の出力信号が非反転入力端子に入力され、前記減衰器の出力信号が反転入力端子へ入力されるオペアンプと、
前記第2の包絡線検波器の出力信号に基づき、前記電圧制御装置の出力電圧を設定するための制御信号を生成する電力計測器と、
を備える請求項1から3のいずれか1項記載の電力増幅器。 - 振幅変調成分及び位相変調成分を含む高周波変調信号を増幅するための電力増幅方法であって、
AD変換器で前記振幅変調成分である包絡線信号をパルス変調し、
前記位相変調成分である包絡線が一定な位相変調信号と前記AD変換器の出力信号を乗算器で合成し、
外部から供給される前記高周波増幅器の出力信号の平均電力を制御するための制御信号にしたがって、電源電圧が変化する高周波増幅器で前記乗算器の出力信号を増幅し、
バンドパスフィルタで前記高周波増幅器の出力信号から帯域外ノイズを除去する電力増幅方法。
