Description
本発明の別な目的は、バルーンカテーテルと、可撓性の細長い要素が利用されるとともに、かかる要素がバルーンによって放射方向に付勢されて病巣部にチャネルを設けるようにしている上述の特徴を実現する方法とを提供することである。
本発明の別な目的は、上述の特徴を有し、可撓性の細長い要素が容易に配備され得るようにしたバルーンカテーテルを提供することである。
Claims (11)
- 血管内の病巣部に血管形成処置を実施するためのバルーンカテーテルであって、
近位先端部および遠位先端部を設けた可撓性の細長いカテーテルシャフトと、
前記カテーテルシャフトを通って延び、ガイドワイヤ管腔を形成する可撓性の細長い部材と、
前記カテーテルシャフトに固定される近位先端部および前記細長い部材に固定される遠位先端部を有し、かつ、内部領域を有し、更に、収縮状態と膨張状態の間で移行可能であるバルーンとを備えており、
前記バルーンは、その外部表面がバルーンの近位先端部から遠位先端部まで延びており、バルーンの膨張時には外向き放射方向に移動し、
該バルーンカテーテルは、バルーンの外部表面の上でバルーンの近位先端部から遠位先端部まで延び、近位先端部と遠位先端部が設けられる少なくとも1本の可撓性の細長い要素を更に備えており、
前記可撓性の細長い要素の近位先端部は前記カテーテルシャフトに付着され、前記可撓性の細長い要素の遠位先端部は前記細長い部材に付着され、前記可撓性の細長い要素は、前記バルーンの外部表面から分離されてバルーンが拡張できるようにするとともに、可撓性の細長い要素を移動させて病巣部と噛合わせることによって、病巣部にチャネルを形成するように構成されており、
更に、前記可撓性の細長い要素は、ワイヤまたはモノフィラメント形態であり、
前記細長い要素の近位先端部はスリーブを用いて前記カテーテルシャフトに固定されていることを特徴とするバルーンカテーテル。 - 前記スリーブは、溶融可能な可塑材のスリーブであることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のバルーンカテーテル。
- 前記可撓性の細長い要素が複数設けられ、当該複数の可撓性の細長い要素は、前記バルーンの周方向に互いに間隔を置いて設置されていることを特徴とする、請求項1または請求項2に記載のバルーンカテーテル。
- 前記可撓性の細長い要素の前記近位先端部と前記遠位先端部のうちの少なくとも一方は弾性材料で形成されることを特徴とする、請求項1ないし請求項3の何れかに記載のバルーンカテーテル。
- 前記可撓性の細長い要素は、断面が実質的に円形であることを特徴とする、請求項1ないし請求項4の何れかに記載のバルーンカテーテル。
- 前記可撓性の細長い要素は、断面が実質的に三角形であることを特徴とする、請求項1ないし請求項5の何れかに記載のバルーンカテーテル。
- 膨張状態にある前記バルーンの前記外部表面は、断面が湾曲面を呈し、また、断面が三角形である前記可撓性の細長い要素の断面の表面は凹状を呈し、膨張した前記バルーンの湾曲した外部表面に適合し、前記バルーンが拡張状態になると、前記バルーンと前記可撓性の細長い要素との間に、良好な当接状態を設け、前記可撓性の細長い要素が血管内の病巣部と噛合うように構成されることを特徴とする、請求項6に記載のバルーンカテーテル。
- 前記可撓性の細長い要素は、ステンレス鋼、ニチノール、ナイロン、フルオロポリマー、および、カーボンファイバーからなる群から選択される、剛性で可撓性の材料で形成されることを特徴とする、請求項1ないし請求項7の何れかに記載のバルーンカテーテル。
- 前記バルーンが収縮状態にあるときは、前記バルーンのフラップまたはウイングが反時計方向または時計方向に折畳まれて前記可撓性の細長い要素を覆うようになっていることを特徴とする、請求項1ないし請求項8の何れかに記載のバルーンカテーテル。
- 血管内の病巣部に血管形成処置を実施するためのバルーンカテーテルを製造する方法であって、
近位先端部および遠位先端部を設けた可撓性の細長いカテーテルシャフトと、前記カテーテルシャフトを通って延び、ガイドワイヤ管腔を形成する可撓性の細長い部材とを有するバルーンカテーテルを製作し、
バルーンの近位先端部を前記カテーテルシャフトに配置させると共に遠位先端部を前記細長い部材に配置させ、
前記バルーンの外部表面の上で当該バルーンの近位先端部から遠位先端部まで延びるとともに近位先端部および遠位先端部を有するワイヤまたはモノフィラメント形態の少なくとも1本の可撓性の細長い要素を設け、
前記可撓性の細長い要素の近位先端部をスリーブを用いて前記カテーテルシャフトに付着させると共に前記可撓性の細長い要素の遠位先端部を前記細長い部材に付着させ、
前記可撓性の細長い要素の近位先端部および遠位先端部が、前記バルーンの両端から離れた位置に配置されるようにした、ことを特徴とする方法。 - 前記可撓性の細長い要素が複数設けられ、当該複数の可撓性の細長い要素は、前記バルーンの周方向に互いに間隔を離して設けることを特徴とする、請求項10に記載の方法。
