Description
本発明の別な目的は、バルーンカテーテルと、可撓性の細長い要素が利用されるとともに、かかる要素がバルーンによって放射方向に付勢されて病巣部に長手方向軸線方向チャネルを設けるようにしている上述の特徴を実現する方法とを提供することである。
本発明の別な目的は、上述の特徴を有し、可撓性の細長い要素が容易に配備され得るようにしたバルーンカテーテルを提供することである。

Claims (10)
- 血管内の病巣部に血管形成処置を実施するためのバルーンカテーテルであって、
近位先端部および遠位先端部を設けた可撓性の細長いカテーテルシャフトと、
前記カテーテルシャフトの遠位先端部に固定され、近位先端部および遠位先端部を有し、かつ、内部領域を有し、更に、収縮状態と膨張状態の間で移行可能であるバルーンとを備えており、
前記カテーテルシャフトは、バルーン膨張管腔を有しており、前記バルーン膨張管腔は、前記カテーテルシャフトの近位先端部から遠位先端部まで延び、かつ、前記バルーンの内部領域の中へと開放状態にあり、
前記バルーンは、その外部表面がバルーンの近位先端部から遠位先端部まで延びており、バルーンの膨張時には外向き放射方向に移動し、該バルーンカテーテルは、前記バルーンの外部表面の上で前記バルーンの近位先端部から遠位先端部まで延びる少なくとも1本の可撓性の細長い要素を更に備えており、
前記バルーンは、収縮状態にあるときは、前記可撓性の細長い要素を覆うように前記可撓性の細長い要素の上に折畳まれ、膨張時には、前記可撓性の細長い要素を移動させて病巣部と噛合わせることによって、チャネルを病巣部に形成するように構成され、
更に、前記バルーンが収縮状態にあるときは、前記バルーンの収縮片が反時計方向または時計方向に折畳まれて前記可撓性の細長い要素を覆うようになっており、
収縮状態にある前記バルーンと前記可撓性の細長い要素とを被覆し、折畳まれた前記バルーンの上を滑らせることができるバルーンプロテクタを備える
ことを特徴とするバルーンカテーテル。 - 前記可撓性の細長い要素が複数設けられ、当該複数の可撓性の細長い要素は、前記バルーンの周方向に互いに間隔を置いて設置されていることを特徴とする
ことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のバルーンカテーテル。 - 前記バルーンプロテクタは円筒状であることを特徴とする、請求項1または請求項2に記載のバルーンカテーテル。
- 前記可撓性の細長い要素は、断面が実質的に円形であることを特徴とする、請求項1ないし請求項3の何れかに記載のバルーンカテーテル。
- 前記可撓性の細長い要素は、断面が実質的に三角形であることを特徴とする、請求項1ないし請求項3の何れかに記載のバルーンカテーテル。
- 膨張状態にある前記バルーンの前記外部表面は、断面が湾曲面を呈し、また、断面が三角形である前記可撓性の細長い要素の断面の表面は凹状を呈し、膨張した前記バルーンの湾曲した外部表面に適合し、前記バルーンが拡張状態になると、前記バルーンと前記可撓性の細長い要素との間に、良好な当接状態を設け、前記可撓性の細長い要素が血管内の病巣部と噛合うように構成されることを特徴とする、請求項5に記載のバルーンカテーテル。
- 前記可撓性の細長い要素は長手方向軸線を有し、かつ、前記可撓性の細長い要素の内部に、長手方向軸線の方向に互いに間隔を設けた複数の切抜き部を有しており、前記長手方向軸線に沿った前記可撓性の細長い要素の撓み性を増大させるようにしたことを特徴とする、請求項5または請求項6に記載のバルーンカテーテル。
- 充填材材料が前記切抜き部の内部に配置されていることを特徴とする、請求項7に記載のバルーンカテーテル。
- 前記充填材は、粘着剤およびポリマーからなる群から選択される、比較的軟質の材料であることを特徴とする、請求項8に記載のバルーンカテーテル。
- 前記可撓性の細長い要素は、ステンレス鋼、ニチノール、ナイロン、フルオロポリマー、および、カーボンファイバーからなる群から選択される、剛性で可撓性の材料で形成されることを特徴とする、請求項1ないし請求項9の何れかに記載のバルーンカテーテル。
