Description
I リビング・フリーラジカル重合によって得られた、重合している任意選択で置換されたスチレン単位と無水マレイン酸単位とを含む少なくとも1種の(ブロック)共重合体
を、
II 第一級アミノ末端基を含む少なくとも1種のポリアルキレンオキシドモノアミンと150℃以上の反応温度で反応させることによって、
かつ、該反応生成物の遊離型カルボキシル基の少なくとも25mol%を100℃より低い反応温度で、任意選択でH2Oの添加後に、その後塩化することによって得られる。
I 制御されたラジカル重合によって得られた、重合している任意選択で置換されたスチレン単位と無水マレイン酸単位とを含む少なくとも1種の(ブロック)共重合体
を、
II 第一級アミノ末端基を含む少なくとも1種のポリアルキレンオキシドモノアミンと150℃以上の反応温度で反応させることによって、
かつ、反応生成物の遊離型カルボキシル基の少なくとも25mol%を100℃より低い反応温度で、IIとともに、任意選択で他の第三級アミンを用いて、任意選択でH2Oの添加後に、その後塩化することによって得られる。
本発明による重合体向けのSMA樹脂は、好ましくは以下の制御されたフリーラジカル重合プロセスによって生成される。
−たとえばPolym.Int.2000,49,993、Aust.J.Chem 2005,58,379、J.Polym.Sci.Part A:Polym.Chem.2005,43,5347、米国特許第6291620号、国際特許出願公開第WO98/01478号、国際特許出願公開第WO98/58974号および国際特許出願公開第WO99/31144号に開示されているような、一定の重合調節剤を使用する場合には「MADIX」および「付加開裂連鎖移動」としても知られ、ここでは単にRAFTと表される「可逆的付加開裂連鎖移動プロセス」(RAFT)、あるいは
−たとえばChem.Rev.2001,101,3661に開示されているような、重合調節剤(NMP)としてニトロキシル化合物を用いる制御された重合。
1.1 重合体1:スチレン対MSA比が2:1である交互型SMA樹脂
メトキシプロピルアセテート27.3gと、2,4−ジフェニル−4−メチル−1−ペンテン4.2gと、スチレン3.3gとを、140℃まで加熱する。反応温度に達したら、メトキシプロピルアセテート21.7gに部分的に溶解させた無水マレイン酸14.4gとAMBN2.3gとを、100分以内に添加し、スチレン26.8gを85分以内に添加する。
2,4−ジフェニル−4−メチル−1−ペンテンの残留量:0.1%
Mn:2775g/mol
メトキシプロピルアセテート27.3gと、2,4−ジフェニル−4−メチル−1−ペンテン4.2gとを、140℃まで加熱する。反応温度に達したら、メトキシプロピルアセテート21.7gに部分的に溶解させた無水マレイン酸14.4gとAMBN2.3gとを、100分以内に添加し、スチレン26.8gを85分以内に添加する。その後15分の反応時間の後、メトキシプロピルアセテート10gに部分的に溶解させたAMBN1gと、スチレン10gとを、100分以内に添加する。
2,4−ジフェニル−4−メチル−1−ペンテンの残留量:0.08%
Mn:3156g/mol
2.1 くし形共重合体1(比較例)
重合体1のメトキシプロピルアセテート溶液100gを、150gのJeffamine M 2070と160℃で4時間反応させ、メトキシプロピルアセテートを蒸留によって取り除く。
この混合物を、固形物含有量40重量%まで水で希釈する。
重合体1のメトキシプロピルアセテート溶液100gを、120gのJeffamine M 2070と160℃で4時間反応させ、メトキシプロピルアセテートを蒸留によって取り除く。
Claims (23)
- I 制御されたラジカル重合によって得られた、重合している任意選択で置換されたスチレン単位と無水マレイン酸単位とを含む少なくとも1種の(ブロック)共重合体を、
II 第一級アミノ末端基を含む少なくとも1種のポリアルキレンオキシドモノアミンと150℃以上の反応温度で反応させることによって、
かつ、該反応生成物の遊離型カルボキシル基の少なくとも25mol%を100℃より低い反応温度で、任意選択でH2Oの添加後に、その後塩化することによって得られるくし形(ブロック)共重合体であって、
前記塩化が、前記150℃以上の反応温度でその総量のうちの第1の部分が添加された第一級アミノ末端基を含む前記ポリアルキレンオキシドモノアミンの残部を、100℃未満に反応温度を下げた後、任意選択で第三級モノアミンの添加を伴って添加することにより行われるか、或いは、
前記塩化が、さらなるアミノ成分の添加を伴って行われ、使用する前記さらなるアミノ成分が、第一級アミノ末端基を含む少なくとも1種のポリアルキレンオキシドモノアミンであって、第一級アミノ末端基を含み前記150℃以上の反応温度での反応に既に使用され、任意選択で第三級モノアミンと混合される前記ポリアルキレンオキシドモノアミンとは異なる少なくとも1種のポリアルキレンオキシドモノアミンである、くし形(ブロック)共重合体。 - 前記(ブロック)共重合体Iが、C−RAFT重合によって得られたことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のくし形(ブロック)共重合体。
- 前記C−RAFT重合が、連鎖移動化合物として2,4−ジフェニル−4−メチル−1−ペンテンを用いたことを特徴とする請求項2に記載のくし形(ブロック)共重合体。
- 前記(ブロック)共重合体Iが、前記任意選択で置換されたスチレン単位/無水マレイン酸単位の交代型、傾斜型またはブロック型構造を有することを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載のくし形(ブロック)共重合体。
- 前記(ブロック)共重合体Iの、任意選択で置換されたスチレン単位対無水マレイン酸単位のモル比が、1:1〜8:1であることを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載のくし形(ブロック)共重合体。
- 前記(ブロック)共重合体Iの、任意選択で置換されたスチレン単位対無水マレイン酸単位のモル比が、1:1〜2:1であることを特徴とする請求項5に記載のくし形(ブロック)共重合体。
- 前記150℃以上の反応温度での反応中、第一級アミノ末端基を含む前記ポリアルキレンオキシドモノアミンの一部のみが反応することを特徴とする請求項1〜6のいずれかに記載のくし形(ブロック)共重合体。
- 第一級アミノ末端基を含む前記ポリアルキレンオキシドモノアミンの少なくとも50重量%が、150℃以上で反応することを特徴とする請求項7に記載のくし形(ブロック)共重合体。
- 第一級アミノ末端基を含む前記ポリアルキレンオキシドモノアミン成分が、エチレンオキシド単位および/またはプロピレンオキシド単位で構成されていることを特徴とする請求項1〜8のいずれかに記載のくし形(ブロック)共重合体。
- 前記エチレンオキシド単位対前記プロピレンオキシド単位のモル比が5:95〜100:0であることを特徴とする請求項9に記載のくし形(ブロック)共重合体。
- 前記エチレンオキシド単位対前記プロピレンオキシド単位のモル比が30:70〜70:30であることを特徴とする請求項10に記載のくし形(ブロック)共重合体。
- 第一級アミノ末端基を含む前記ポリアルキレンオキシドモノアミンの総量のうち第1の部分が、前記150℃以上の反応温度での反応中に添加され、残部が、100℃未満に前記反応温度を下げた後、任意選択で第三級モノアミンの添加を伴って添加されることを特徴とする請求項1〜11のいずれかに記載のくし形(ブロック)共重合体。
- 前記塩化が、さらなるアミノ成分の添加を伴って行われ、使用する前記さらなるアミノ成分が、第一級アミノ末端基を含む少なくとも1種のポリアルキレンオキシドモノアミンであって、第一級アミノ末端基を含み前記反応に既に使用され、任意選択で第三級モノアミンと混合される前記ポリアルキレンオキシドモノアミンとは異なる少なくとも1種のポリアルキレンオキシドモノアミンであることを特徴とする請求項1〜11のいずれかに記載のくし形(ブロック)共重合体。
- 前記塩化のために水が添加されることを特徴とする請求項1〜13のいずれかに記載のくし形(ブロック)共重合体。
- 請求項1〜14のいずれかに記載のくし形(ブロック)共重合体に基づく湿潤剤および分散剤。
- 請求項1〜14のいずれかに記載の少なくとも1種のくし形(ブロック)共重合体の、湿潤剤および分散剤としての使用。
- 固形物向けの請求項16に記載の使用。
- 顔料コンセントレートまたは顔料ペーストの製造および/または加工における請求項16または17に記載の使用。
- コーティング材料、印刷インク、インクジェットプロセス用のインク、紙コーティング、革および/または織物染料、セラミックス、化粧品の製造および/または加工における請求項16〜18のいずれかに記載の使用。
- 合成、半合成または天然高分子に基づく鋳造および/または成形組成物の製造および/または加工における請求項16〜18のいずれかに記載の使用。
- 従来の補助剤も使用されることを特徴とする請求項17〜20のいずれかに記載の使用。
- 湿潤剤および分散剤として請求項1〜14のいずれかに従って得られる少なくとも1種のくし形(ブロック)共重合体と、少なくとも1種の顔料と、任意選択で有機媒体または水性媒体と、任意選択で少なくとも1種の結合剤および/または任意選択で少なくとも1種のさらなる従来の湿潤剤および分散剤とを含むコーティング材料、ペーストまたは成形組成物。
- 請求項1〜14のいずれかに従って得られる少なくとも1種のくし形(ブロック)共重合体によってその表面が改質された顔料。
