Claims (4)
- ハブ輪と複列の転がり軸受と等速自在継手とがユニット化された駆動車輪用軸受装置であって、
前記複列の転がり軸受が、外周にナックルに取り付けられるための車体取付フランジを一体に有し、内周に複列の外側転走面が形成された外方部材と、
一端部に車輪を取り付けるための車輪取付フランジを一体に有し、外周に前記複列の外側転走面に対向する一方の内側転走面と、この内側転走面から軸方向に延びる円筒状の小径段部が形成されたハブ輪、およびこのハブ輪に内嵌され、外周に前記複列の外側転走面に対向する他方の内側転走面と、この内側転走面から軸方向に延びる中空状の軸部が一体に形成された前記等速自在継手の外側継手部材からなる内方部材と、
この内方部材と前記外方部材の両転走面間に転動自在に収容された複列の転動体と、
前記外方部材と内方部材との間に形成された環状空間の開口部に装着されたシールとを備え、
前記軸部を塑性変形させて前記ハブ輪に加締ることにより前記ハブ輪と外側継手部材とが一体に塑性結合された駆動車輪用軸受装置において、
前記ナックルを径方向に貫通して取付孔が穿設され、この取付孔にセンサーが嵌挿されると共に、このセンサーに所定の径方向隙間を介して対峙するように前記外側継手部材の外周面にパルサリングが装着され、このパルサリングの外径が前記ナックルの内径よりも小径に設定され、前記センサーの先端部が前記ナックルの内径に突出せず、所定の隙間だけ退避するように当該センサーが嵌挿されていることを特徴とする駆動車輪用軸受装置。 - 前記パルサリングが、鋼板からプレス加工により円環状に形成された支持環と、この支持環に接合された磁気エンコーダとからなり、この磁気エンコーダが、エラストマに磁性体粉が混入され、周方向に交互に磁極が着磁されている請求項1に記載の駆動車輪用軸受装置。
- 前記支持環が、ステンレス鋼鈑あるいは防錆処理された冷間圧延鋼鈑をプレス加工にて形成されている請求項2に記載の駆動車輪用軸受装置。
- 前記外方部材と外側継手部材との間に形成される環状空間の開口部にシールが装着され、このシールが、断面が略L字状で互いに対向配置された環状のシール板とスリンガとからなると共に、このスリンガに前記支持環が一体に構成されている請求項2または3に記載の駆動車輪用軸受装置。
