Description
図1に示す通り、エアバックハウジング(図示していない)の内部に備えられたエアバック(図示していない)が初期に展開作動する際には、図1の“A”傾き状態で作動する。
また、エアバックからのガス排出がクラッシュパッドの内側でなされるため、室内の汚染防止ができる。
図2(a)、(b)に示す通り、エアバック2が内蔵されたエアバックハウジングボディー110には、気体流通可能なベントホール10が複数個形成される。ベントホール10はエアバックハウジング100の上側面または下側面に備えられることが好ましい。
図3に示す通り、車両の衝突事故が発生した場合、制御部(図示していない)は、感知された衝突信号を受け、インフレータ3に作動信号を送ってインフレータ3を作動させる。
隔板20によりベントホール10が開放されると、搭乗客6との衝突によりエアバック2の内部のガスが車の室内に排出されず、クラッシュパッドの内側に排出されて、車内のガス排出による汚染を防止することができる。
図8に示す通り、インフレータ3から発生したガスの圧力は、エアバック2展開作動により初期圧力上昇した後、エアバック2の内部圧力が急激に低下することになる。

Claims (4)
- 車両の助手席に搭乗した搭乗客を保護するためのエアバックが内蔵されたエアバックハウジングボディーに、気体流通可能なベントホールが複数個形成されたエアバックハウジングと、
前記ベントホールの内外側に回動可能なようにベントホールの内側のエアバックハウジング上に設けられる隔板と、
前記エアバックハウジングボディーの上部に形成されたスロット孔の内側に備えられ、前記ベントホールの貫通領域をカバー可能なカバープレートと、
一端は前記エアバックハウジングの外側に固定されてエアバックハウジングの内側面の形状に沿って延長して折り曲げられ、他端は前記カバープレートと連結設置されてインフレータから発生するガスにより前記カバープレートを前方に移動させるディヒューザと、
を含んでなることを特徴とする助手席エアバックハウジング構造。 - 前記ベントホールは、エアバックハウジングの上側面または下側面に備えられることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の助手席エアバックハウジング構造。
- 前記隔板は、金属またはゴム材質からなることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の助手席エアバックハウジング構造。
- 前記カバープレートは、前記ディヒューザに代えて、一端がエアバックの内側に固定され、他端が前記カバープレートの先端部に固定されたテザーにより作動するように構成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の助手席エアバックハウジング構造。
