Description
Claims (10)
- 少なくとも1つの駆動回路と、
複数のバイステイブル表示素子を備かつ前記駆動回路によって駆動されるように構成されているアレイとを備え、ビデオデータのフレームレート以上のリフレッシュレートで前記アレイをリフレッシュすることが可能なディスプレイであって、
前記駆動回路は、ビデオデータを受け取るように、及び受け取ったビデオデータの少なくともサブセットを、フレームスキップカウントに基づいて前記アレイに供給するように構成されており、前記フレームスキップカウントは、前記アレイの少なくとも一部をリフレッシュする前にスキップされるリフレッシュの数を示し、
前記フレームスキップカウントの決定は、前記ビデオデータの計算されたヒストグラムに基づいて前記フレームスキップカウントを選択することを備える、ディスプレイ。 - 前記フレームスキップカウントはプログラム可能である、請求項1に記載のディスプレイ。
- 前記フレームスキップカウントは動的に決められる、請求項2に記載のディスプレイ。
- 前記駆動回路はさらに、期間中に、前記ビデオデータの1つ又は複数の部分で発生する変化に基づいて、前記ビデオデータのサブセットを前記アレイへ供給するように構成されている、請求項1に記載のディスプレイ。
- 前記駆動回路はさらに、画素ごとの基準で、前記ビデオデータの変化を評価するように構成されている、請求項4に記載のディスプレイ。
- 前記駆動回路はさらに、ディスプレイモードに基づいて、前記ビデオデータを供給するように構成されている、請求項1に記載のディスプレイ。
- ユーザ入力装置をさらに備え、前記フレームスキップカウントの決定は、前記ユーザ入力装置を用いた選択をさらに含む、請求項1に記載のディスプレイ。
- 複数のバイステイブル表示素子を有するアレイをビデオデータのフレームレート以上のリフレッシュレートでリフレッシュすることが可能なシステムにより前記アレイ上にデータを表示する方法であって、
複数のフレームを備えるビデオデータを受け取ることと、
前記受け取ったフレームを、フレームスキップカウントを用いて表示することと、ここにおいて、前記フレームスキップカウントは、前記アレイの少なくとも一部をリフレッシュする前にスキップされるリフレッシュの数を示す、
前記複数のフレームのうちの選択されたフレームと、前記選択されたフレームに対して直前に受け取られた1つ又は複数のフレームを用いてヒストグラムを計算することと、
前記ヒストグラムに基づいて前記フレームスキップカウントを変化させることとを備える、方法。 - 前記ヒストグラムを用いて、前記複数のフレームのうちの選択したフレームと、前記選択したフレームに対して直前に受け取った1つ又は複数のフレームとの間のビデオ内容の変化の測定を判定することをさらに備える、請求項8に記載の方法。
- 前記フレームスキップカウントを変化させることは、前記選択したフレームと1つ又は複数の直前のフレームとの間のビデオ内容の変化が小さい場合に、前記フレームスキップカウントを増加させることと、前記選択したフレームと1つ又は複数の直前のフレームとの間のビデオ内容の変化が大きい場合に、前記フレームスキップカウントを減少させることとを備える、請求項9に記載の方法。
