Abstract
【解決手段】ディスプレイは、少なくとも1つの駆動回路と、複数のバイステイブル表示素子を備えるアレイとを含み、アレイは駆動回路によって駆動され、駆動回路は、ビデオデータを受け取り、フレームスキップカウントに基づいて受信したビデオデータのサブセットをアレイへ供給するようプログラムされている。フレームスキップカウントは、プログラム可能に、又は動的に決められる。複数のバイステイブル表示素子を有するアレイ上にデータを表示する方法は、複数のフレームを備えるビデオデータを受信し、フレームスキップカウントに基づいて、選択したフレームを表示し、各選択したフレームと、選択したフレームより前のフレームとの間の変化を測定し、測定した変化が、しきい値以上の場合に、非選択フレームを表示する。

Claims (40)
- ディスプレイであって、
少なくとも1つの駆動回路と、
複数のバイステイブル表示素子を備え、前記駆動回路によって駆動されるように構成されているアレイとを備え、
前記駆動回路は、ビデオデータを受け取るように、及び受け取ったビデオデータの少なくともサブセットを、フレームスキップカウントに基づいて前記アレイに供給するように構成されており、前記フレームスキップカウントは、前記アレイの少なくとも一部をリフレッシュする前にスキップするリフレッシュ期間の数を示す。 - 前記フレームスキップカウントはプログラム可能である、請求項1に記載のディスプレイ。
- 前記フレームスキップカウントは動的に決められる、請求項2に記載のディスプレイ。
- 前記駆動回路はさらに、期間中に、前記ビデオデータの1つ又は複数の部分で発生する変化に基づいて、前記ビデオデータのサブセットを前記アレイへ供給するように構成されている、請求項1に記載のディスプレイ。
- 前記駆動回路はさらに、画素ごとの基準で、前記ビデオデータの変化を評価するように構成されている、請求項4に記載のディスプレイ。
- 前記駆動回路はさらに、ディスプレイモードに基づいて、前記ビデオデータを供給するように構成されている、請求項1に記載のディスプレイ。
- ユーザ入力装置をさらに備え、前記フレームスキップカウントの決定は、前記ユーザ入力装置を用いた選択を含む、請求項1に記載のディスプレイ。
- 複数のバイステイブル表示素子を有するアレイ上にデータを表示する方法であって、
複数のフレームを備えるビデオデータを受け取ることと、
前記受け取ったフレームを、フレームスキップカウントを用いて表示することとを備える。 - 前記複数のフレームのうちの選択したフレームと、前記選択したフレームに対して直前に受け取った1つ又は複数のフレームとの間のビデオ内容の変化の測定を判定することと、
前記測定のしきい値に対する比較に基づいて、前記フレームスキップカウントを変化させることとをさらに備える、請求項8に記載の方法。 - 前記フレームスキップカウントを変化させることは、前記選択したフレームと1つ又は複数の直前のフレームとの間のビデオ内容の変化が小さい場合に、前記フレームスキップカウントを増加させることと、前記選択したフレームと1つ又は複数の直前のフレームとの間のビデオ内容の変化が大きい場合に、前記フレームスキップカウントを減少させることとを備える、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記ビデオ内容の変化の測定を判定することは、前記選択したフレームに対する直前の1つ又は複数のフレームを用いてヒストグラムを計算することと、前記ヒストグラムに基づいて前記測定を判定することとを備える、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 複数のバイステイブル表示素子を有するアレイ上にデータを表示するシステムであって、
複数のフレームを備えるビデオデータを受け取る手段と、
フレームスキップカウントを用いてフレームを表示する手段とを備える。 - 前記複数のフレームのうちの選択したフレームと、前記選択したフレームに対して直前に受け取った1つ又は複数のフレームとの間のビデオ内容の変化の測定を判定する手段と、
前記測定のしきい値に対する比較に基づいて、前記フレームスキップカウントを変化させる手段とをさらに備える、請求項12に記載のシステム。 - 前記フレームスキップカウントを変化させる手段は、前記選択したフレームと1つ又は複数の直前のフレームとの間のビデオ内容の変化が小さい場合に、前記フレームスキップカウントを増加させる手段と、前記選択したフレームと1つ又は複数の直前のフレームとの間のビデオ内容の変化が大きい場合に、前記フレームスキップカウントを減少させる手段とを備える、請求項13に記載のシステム。
- 前記ビデオ内容の変化の測定を判定する手段は、前記選択したフレームに対する直前の1つ又は複数のフレームを用いて、ヒストグラムを計算する手段と、前記ヒストグラムに基づいて、前記測定を判定する手段とを備える、請求項13に記載のシステム。
- ユーザからの入力を受け取るユーザ入力手段をさらに備え、前記フレームスキップカウントの決定は、前記ユーザ入力手段を用いた選択を含む、請求項12に記載のシステム。
- 前記ビデオを受け取る手段はプロセッサを備える、請求項12に記載のシステム。
- 前記フレームを表示する手段はディスプレイアレイを備える、請求項12に記載のシステム。
- 前記ビデオ内容の変化を判定する手段は、アレイドライバを備える、請求項13に記載のシステム。
- 前記フレームスキップカウントを変化させる手段は、アレイドライバを備える、請求項13に記載のシステム。
- 前記ユーザ入力手段は入力装置を備える、請求項16に記載のシステム。
- システムであって、
バイステイブルディスプレイを備えるクライアントと、
前記クライアントにフレームスキップカウント情報を供給するように構成されたサーバであって、前記フレームスキップカウント情報は、前記クライアントにより、前記クライアントのバイステイブルディスプレイのためのビデオリフレッシュレートを決定するのに用いられるサーバとを備える。 - 前記サーバは、前記フレームスキップカウント情報に基づいて、ビデオデータを前記クライアントに供給する、請求項22に記載のシステム。
- 前記フレームスキップカウント情報は、前記バイステイブルディスプレイの特定の領域のためのビデオリフレッシュレートを実施するのに用いられる、請求項22に記載のシステム。
- 前記領域の位置は、前記サーバによって規定される、請求項24に記載のシステム。
- 前記領域のサイズは、前記サーバによって規定される、請求項24に記載のシステム。
- フレームスキップカウント情報をクライアントに供給するように構成されたサーバであって、前記フレームスキップカウントは、前記クライアントにより、前記クライアントのバイステイブルディスプレイのためのビデオリフレッシュレートを実施するのに用いられる。
- 前記フレームスキップカウントは、前記バイステイブルディスプレイの1つ又は複数の領域のためのビデオリフレッシュレートを実施するのに用いられる、請求項27に記載のサーバ。
- 前記1つ又は複数の領域の位置は、前記サーバによって規定される、請求項27に記載のサーバ。
- 前記1つ又は複数の領域のサイズは、前記サーバによって規定される、請求項27に記載のサーバ。
- システムであって、
バイステイブルディスプレイを有し、フレームスキップカウント情報を供給するように構成されたクライアント装置と、
前記クライアントからのフレームスキップカウント情報を受け取り、前記フレームスキップカウント情報に基づいて、前記クライアントにビデオデータを供給するように構成されたサーバとを備える。 - 前記フレームスキップカウント情報は、前記バイステイブルディスプレイの1つ又は複数の領域のためのビデオリフレッシュレートを実施するのに用いられる、請求項31に記載のシステム。
- 前記1つ又は複数の領域の位置は、前記サーバによって規定される、請求項32に記載のシステム。
- 前記1つ又は複数の領域のサイズは、前記サーバによって規定される、請求項32に記載のシステム。
- 前記クライアント装置は入力装置を備え、前記クライアント装置によって供給されるフレームスキップカウント情報は、前記入力装置を用いて実行された選択に基づいている、請求項31に記載のシステム。
- 前記アレイと電気的に通信し、画像データを処理するように構成されているプロセッサと、
前記プロセッサと電気的に通信している記憶装置とをさらに備える、請求項1に記載のシステム。 - 前記画像データの少なくとも一部を前記駆動回路へ送るように構成されたコントローラをさらに備える、請求項36に記載のシステム。
- 前記画像データを前記プロセッサへ送るように構成された画像ソースモジュールをさらに備える、請求項36に記載のシステム。
- 前記画像ソースモジュールは、レシーバ、トランシーバ及びトランスミッタのうちの少なくとも1つを備える、請求項38に記載のシステム。
- 入力データを受け取り、かつ前記入力データを前記プロセッサへ伝達するように構成された入力装置をさらに備える、請求項36に記載のシステム。
