Claims (4)
- 内燃機関の排気系に設けられ、排気中の粒子状物質を捕集可能な排気浄化装置の故障検出装置であって、
前記排気浄化装置の後段に設けられ、前記粒子状物質を検出するセンサと、
前記センサの出力に基づき、前記排気浄化装置に捕集された前記粒子状物質の除去を行う除去手段と、
前記除去手段による前記粒子状物質の除去が完了してから、前記センサの出力が安定するまでの第1安定時間に基づき、前記排気浄化装置の故障判定を行う判定手段と、
を備えることを特徴とする排気浄化装置の故障検出装置。 - 前記判定手段は、前記第1安定時間が第1基準安定時間より小さい場合に、前記排気浄化装置が故障していないと判定し、前記第1安定時間が前記第1基準安定時間より大きい場合に、前記排気浄化装置が故障していると判定することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の故障検出装置。
- 前記判定手段は、前記第1安定時間が前記第1基準安定時間より小さい第2基準安定時間より小さい場合に、前記排気浄化装置が故障しておらず且つ前記粒子状物質の除去が不十分であると判定することを特徴とする請求項2に記載の故障検出装置。
- 前記判定手段は、前記センサの出力が安定した時点における前記センサの出力が基準出力より小さい場合に、前記センサが故障していると判定することを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の故障検出装置。
