本発明のタイヤ用変性共役ジオレフィン共重合ゴム(以下、単に「変性共役ジオレフィン共重合ゴム」と記す)の製造方法は、共役ジオレフィン化合物、または、共役ジオレフィン化合物及び芳香族ビニル化合物を含有する炭化水素溶液に、有機アルカリ金属化合物及び/または有機アルカリ土類金属化合物を加えてアニオン重合させることにより、前記共役ジオレフィン化合物由来の第一の構造単位、または、前記第一の構造単位及び前記芳香族ビニル化合物由来の第二の構造単位を含有する共役ジオレフィン共重合ゴムを得、得られた前記共役ジオレフィン共重合ゴムに、少なくとも二つのイソシアネート基を有する化合物を反応させ、少なくとも一つの未反応のイソシアネート基を有する一次変性共役ジオレフィン共重合ゴム(水素添加された変性共役ジオレフィン共重合ゴムを除く)を得る工程と、触媒の存在下で、得られた前記一次変性共役ジオレフィン共重合ゴムに、炭素数1〜20のアルコールである水酸基を有する化合物を反応させて二次変性共役ジオレフィン共重合ゴム(水素添加された変性共役ジオレフィン共重合ゴムを除く)を得る工程とを備え、前記触媒として、三級アミノ基を含有する化合物、または周期律表の4A族、2B族、3B族、4B族及び5B族のうちのいずれかの族に属する元素を一つ以上含有する化合物を用い、タイヤ用の変性共役ジオレフィン共重合ゴム(水素添加された変性共役ジオレフィン共重合ゴムを除く)を製造するものである。
本発明の変性共役ジオレフィン共重合ゴムの製造方法は、まず、共役ジオレフィン化合物、または、前記共役ジオレフィン化合物及び芳香族ビニル化合物を含有する炭化水素溶液に、有機アルカリ金属化合物及び/または有機アルカリ土類金属化合物を加えてアニオン重合させることにより、上記共役ジオレフィン共重合ゴムを得る。
次に、本発明の変性共役ジオレフィン共重合ゴムの製造方法は、上記共役ジオレフィン共重合ゴムを得る工程によって得られた共役ジオレフィン共重合ゴムの活性末端に、少なくとも二つのイソシアネート基を有する化合物(以下、「第一の化合物」と記す場合がある)を反応させ、少なくとも一つの未反応のイソシアネート基を有する一次変性共役ジオレフィン共重合ゴムを得る(以下、「一次変性反応」と記す場合がある)。
続いて、本発明の変性共役ジオレフィン共重合ゴムの製造方法は、触媒の存在下で、得られた上記一次変性共役ジオレフィン共重合ゴムの未反応のイソシアネート基に、炭素数1〜20のアルコールである水酸基を有する化合物(以下、「第二の化合物」と記す場合がある)を反応させて二次変性共役ジオレフィン共重合ゴム(水素添加された変性共役ジオレフィン共重合ゴムを除く)を得る(以下、「二次変性反応」と記す場合がある)。
本発明の変性共役ジオレフィン共重合ゴムは、これまでに説明した変性共役ジオレフィン共重合ゴムの製造方法によって製造される変性共役ジオレフィン共重合ゴムである。この変性共役ジオレフィン共重合ゴムは、ゴム性能を維持しつつ、貯蔵中にゲル化が生じ難い、即ち、貯蔵安定性が良好であるという利点がある。
[変性共役ジオレフィン共重合ゴムAの合成]:
窒素置換された内容積5リットルのオートクレーブ反応器に、シクロヘキサン(ジャパンエナジー社製)2,000g、テトラヒドロフラン(三菱化学社製)17g、スチレン(東ソー社製)40g、1,3−ブタジエン(JSR社製)360gを仕込んだ。反応器内容物の温度を15℃に調整した後、n−ブチルリチウム(アジアリチウム社製)254mgを添加して重合を開始した。重合は断熱条件で実施し、最高温度は90℃に達した。
変性共役ジオレフィン共重合ゴム中の結合スチレン含量は、1H−NMR分析により測定を行った。1H−NMR分析は、日本電子社製「EX270」を使用して、重クロロホルム溶液を用い、270MHzの1H−NMRスペクトルから算出した。
変性共役ジオレフィン共重合ゴム中のビニル結合含量は、1H−NMR分析により測定を行った。1H−NMR分析は、日本電子社製「EX270」を使用して、四塩化炭素溶液を用い、270MHzの1H−NMRスペクトルから算出した。
ゲルパーミエーションクロマトグラフ(GPC)(東ソー社製、HLC−8120GPC)を用いて、以下の条件にて標準ポリスチレン換算値として算出した。
カラム ;商品名;「GMHHXL」、(東ソー社製)、
カラム温度 ;40℃、
移動相 ;テトラヒドロフラン、
流速 ;1.0ml/min、
サンプル濃度;10mg/20ml
JIS K6300に従って、Lローター、予熱1分、ローター作動時間4分、温度100℃の条件で測定した。
温度85℃の恒温槽中に上記共重合ゴムAを放置し、1、5、7日後における上記共重合ゴムAのムーニー粘度(ML1+4,100℃)を上記条件で測定した(ムーニー粘度の経時変化を測定した)。
共重合ゴムAは、結合スチレン含量が10%であり、ビニル結合含量が60%であり、重量平均分子量が640000であり、第一の構造単位の含有量(i)が90%であり、第二の構造単位の含有量(ii)が10%であり、その他の構造単位の含有量(iii)が0%であり、製造直後(乾燥後)のムーニー粘度が45であった。また、共重合ゴムAのムーニー粘度の経時変化は、1日後のムーニー粘度が48であり、5日後のムーニー粘度が50であり、7日後のムーニー粘度が50であった。
ポリメチレンポリフェニルポリイソシアネートの代わりに、2,4−トリレンジイソシアネート(ポリウレタン日本社製、表1中、「TDI」と示す)285mgを添加したこと以外は、実施例1と同様にして、変性共役ジオレフィン共重合ゴムB(以下、「共重合ゴムB」と記す場合がある)を得た。得られた共重合ゴムBは、共重合ゴムAと同様の各種物性値の測定及び加熱促進評価(試験)を行った。測定結果を表1、2に示す。
触媒(添加剤)としてジブチルスズジラウレートの代わりに、ジオクチルスズジラウレート(三共有機合成社製、表1中「DOTDL」と示す)を193mg添加したこと以外は、実施例1と同様にして、変性共役ジオレフィン共重合ゴムC(以下、「共重合ゴムC」と記す場合がある)を得た。得られた共重合ゴムCは、共重合ゴムAと同様の各種物性値の測定及び加熱促進評価を行った。測定結果を表1、2に示す。
触媒(添加剤)としてジブチルスズジラウレートの代わりに、トリオクチルアミン(和光純薬工業社製、表1中「TOA」と示す)69mgを添加したこと以外は、実施例1と同様にして、変性共役ジオレフィン共重合ゴムD(以下、「共重合ゴムD」と記す場合がある)を得た。得られた共重合ゴムDは、共重合ゴムAと同様の各種物性値の測定及び加熱促進評価を行った。測定結果を表1、2に示す。
触媒(添加剤)としてジブチルスズジラウレートの代わりに、1,4−ジアザビシクロ(2,2,2)オクタン(和光純薬工業社製、表1中「DABCO」と示す)26mgを添加したこと以外は、実施例1と同様にして、変性共役ジオレフィン共重合ゴムE(以下、「共重合ゴムE」と記す場合がある)を得た。得られた共重合ゴムEは、共重合ゴムAと同様の各種物性値の測定及び加熱促進評価を行った。測定結果を表1、2に示す。
触媒(添加剤)としてジブチルスズジラウレートの代わりに、1,8−ビシクロ(5,4,0)ウンデカ−7−エン(東京化成工業社製、表1中「DBU」と示す)33mgを添加したこと以外は、実施例1と同様にして、変性共役ジオレフィン共重合ゴムF(以下、「共重合ゴムF」と記す場合がある)を得た。得られた共重合ゴムFは、共重合ゴムAと同様の各種物性値の測定及び加熱促進評価を行った。測定結果を表1、2に示す。
触媒を添加しないこと以外は、実施例1と同様にして、変性共役ジオレフィン共重合ゴムG(以下、「共重合ゴムG」と記す場合がある)を得た。得られた共重合ゴムGは、共重合ゴムAと同様の各種物性値の測定及び加熱促進評価を行った。測定結果を表1、2に示す。
Claims (6)
- 共役ジオレフィン化合物、または、前記共役ジオレフィン化合物及び芳香族ビニル化合物を含有する炭化水素溶液に、有機アルカリ金属化合物及び/または有機アルカリ土類金属化合物を加えてアニオン重合させることにより、前記共役ジオレフィン化合物由来の第一の構造単位、または、前記第一の構造単位及び前記芳香族ビニル化合物由来の第二の構造単位を含有する共役ジオレフィン共重合ゴムを得、得られた前記共役ジオレフィン共重合ゴムに、少なくとも二つのイソシアネート基を有する化合物を反応させ、少なくとも一つの未反応のイソシアネート基を有する一次変性共役ジオレフィン共重合ゴム(水素添加された変性共役ジオレフィン共重合ゴムを除く)を得る工程と、
触媒の存在下で、得られた前記一次変性共役ジオレフィン共重合ゴムに、炭素数1〜20のアルコールである水酸基を有する化合物を反応させて二次変性共役ジオレフィン共重合ゴム(水素添加された変性共役ジオレフィン共重合ゴムを除く)を得る工程とを備え、
前記触媒として、三級アミノ基を含有する化合物、または周期律表の4A族、2B族、3B族、4B族及び5B族のうちのいずれかの族に属する元素を一つ以上含有する化合物を用い、タイヤ用の変性共役ジオレフィン共重合ゴム(水素添加された変性共役ジオレフィン共重合ゴムを除く)を製造し、その後、前記タイヤ用の変性共役ジオレフィン共重合ゴム(水素添加された変性共役ジオレフィン共重合ゴムを除く)を含むタイヤを製造するタイヤの製造方法。 - 前記イソシアネート基を有する化合物が、2〜10個のイソシアネート基を有するものである請求項1に記載のタイヤの製造方法。
- 請求項1または2に記載のタイヤの製造方法によって製造されるタイヤ。
- 前記タイヤ用の変性共役ジオレフィン共重合ゴム(水素添加された変性共役ジオレフィン共重合ゴムを除く)は、前記第一の構造単位の含有量(i)が、全構造単位に対して、95〜100質量%であり、
前記第二の構造単位の含有量(ii)が、全構造単位に対して、0〜5質量%であり、
前記第一の構造単位及び前記第二の構造単位以外のその他の構造単位の含有量(iii)が、全構造単位に対して、0〜25質量%であり(但し、(i)+(ii)+(iii)=100質量%)、
ビニル結合含有量が、前記第一の構造単位の総量に対して、10モル%以上である請求項3に記載のタイヤ。 - 前記タイヤ用の変性共役ジオレフィン共重合ゴム(水素添加された変性共役ジオレフィン共重合ゴムを除く)は、前記第一の構造単位の含有量(i)が、全構造単位に対して、70〜95質量%であり、
前記第二の構造単位の含有量(ii)が、全構造単位に対して、5〜30質量%であり、
前記第一の構造単位及び前記第二の構造単位以外のその他の構造単位の含有量(iii)が、全構造単位に対して、0〜25質量%であり(但し、(i)+(ii)+(iii)=100質量%)、
ビニル結合含有量が、前記第一の構造単位の総量に対して、50モル%以上である請求項3に記載のタイヤ。 - 前記タイヤ用の変性共役ジオレフィン共重合ゴム(水素添加された変性共役ジオレフィン共重合ゴムを除く)は、前記第一の構造単位の含有量(i)が、全構造単位に対して、50〜70質量%であり、
前記第二の構造単位の含有量(ii)が、全構造単位に対して、30〜50質量%であり、
前記第一の構造単位及び前記第二の構造単位以外のその他の構造単位の含有量(iii)が、全構造単位に対して、0〜20質量%であり(但し、(i)+(ii)+(iii)=100質量%)、
ビニル結合含有量が、前記第一の構造単位の総量に対して、15〜50モル%である請求項3に記載のタイヤ。
