Description
図1は、本実施形態のエアバッグ20を示す。本実施形態のエアバッグ20は、1枚の基布を折り返し、縫製し形成され、主膨張部20a、パイプ接続部20b及び挿通部の一例としての筒状部20cからなる。主膨張部20aは、略楕円形の形状を有し、膨張時に歩行者等の衝突対象との衝撃を緩和させる部分である。パイプ接続部20bは、主膨張部20aから突出し、パイプ16が挿入されカシメられる部分である。筒状部20cは、エアバッグ20の衝撃を受け止める面とは逆に位置し、後述する展開位置規制手段21が挿通可能に筒状に形成された部分である。なお、筒状部20cは、少なくともエアバッグ20の主膨張部20aの車両側20dと、パイプ接続部20bとに設けられると、エアバッグ20の全長にわたって位置を規制するので、好ましい。

Claims (2)
- エアバッグと、前記エアバッグ内にガスを噴出するインフレータと、衝突を検知する検知手段と、前記検知手段からの信号により前記インフレータを作動させる制御手段と、を備え、車両外側でフロントピラーに沿って配置された前記エアバッグを膨張させるエアバッグ装置において、
一端を車体に係止され、他端を前記エアバッグに係止された展開位置規制手段を備え、
前記エアバッグは、略筒状の形状を有し、膨張前と比較して、膨張時に円周方向に延伸し、長手方向に収縮することに対応して、前記展開位置規制手段が引っ張られてエアバッグがウインドシールド及びフロントピラー側に押し付けられる
ことを特徴とするエアバッグ装置。 - 前記エアバッグの基布は第1の糸と第2の糸を交差させた糸目からなり、第1の糸と第2の糸の糸目を前記エアバッグの長手方向に対して約45度傾斜させたことを特徴とする請求項1記載のエアバッグ装置。
