Claims (19)
- 通過する磁性物品を検出し、前記通過する磁性物品を示す磁性物品検出器出力信号を提供するための装置であって、
周囲磁場に比例する信号を提供する磁場センサと、
前記磁場センサ信号に応答して、前記通過する磁性物品を示す第1の出力信号を提供する第1の回路であって、前記第1の出力信号が、第1の時間間隔中に前記磁性物品検出器出力信号を提供する第1の回路と、
前記磁場センサ信号に応答して、前記通過する磁性物品を示す第2の出力信号を提供する第2の回路であって、前記第2の出力信号が、前記第1の時間間隔に続く第2の時間間隔中に前記磁性物品検出器出力信号を提供する第2の回路と、
前記第1の出力信号と前記第2の出力信号とに応答して、前記第1の出力信号と前記第2の出力信号との位相関係の変化を示す制御信号を提供する位相比較器と、
前記第1の出力信号に応答する第1の入力と、前記第2の出力信号に応答する第2の入力と、前記磁性物品検出器出力信号が提供される出力とを有し、前記制御信号によって制御されるスイッチと
を備える装置。 - 前記第1の回路は、前記磁場センサ信号に応答する第1の入力と、第1のしきい値信号に応答する第2の入力と、前記第1の出力信号が提供される出力とを有する比較器を備える、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記第1のしきい値信号は調節可能である、請求項2に記載の装置。
- 前記第1のしきい値信号は、前記第1の時間間隔の第1の部分の間に所定のレベルにあり、前記第1の時間間隔の第2の部分の間に調節される、請求項3に記載の装置。
- 前記第1の時間間隔の前記第1の部分は、前記第1の検出器出力信号で所定数の遷移が生じた後に終了する、請求項4に記載の装置。
- 前記第1のしきい値信号は、自動利得制御回路によって決定される増分によって調節される、請求項4に記載の装置。
- 前記第2の回路は、前記磁場センサ信号の利得制御バージョンに応答する第1の入力と、第2のしきい値信号に応答する第2の入力と、前記第2の出力信号が提供される出力とを有する比較器を備える、請求項1に記載の装置。
- さらに、前記磁場センサ信号の正のピークを追跡するPDAC信号を提供するように動作する正デジタルアナログ変換器(PDAC)と、前記磁場センサ信号の負のピークを追跡するNDAC信号を提供するように動作する負デジタルアナログ変換器(NDAC)とを備え、前記第2のしきい値信号は、前記PDAC信号と前記NDAC信号との差のパーセンテージである、請求項7に記載の装置。
- 前記PDAC信号は、前記磁場センサ信号の増加する正のピークに応答して増加し、前記PDAC信号は、正の更新しきい値信号よりも小さい、前記磁場センサ信号の所定数の正のピークが生じるのに応答して減少し、前記NDAC信号は、前記磁場センサ信号の減少する負のピークに応答して減少し、前記NDAC信号は、負の更新しきい値信号よりも大きい、前記磁場センサ信号の所定数の負のピークが生じるのに応答して増加する、請求項8に記載の装置。
- 通過する磁性物品を検出し、前記通過する磁性物品を示す磁性物品検出器出力信号を提供するための装置であって、
周囲磁場に比例する信号を提供する磁場センサと、
前記磁場センサ信号に応答して、前記通過する磁性物品を示す第1の出力信号を提供する第1の回路であって、前記第1の出力信号は、第1の時間間隔中に前記磁性物品検出器出力信号を提供し、前記第1の回路は、前記磁場センサ信号に応答する第1の入力と、しきい値信号に応答する第2の入力と、前記第1の出力信号が提供される出力とを有する比較器を備え、前記しきい値信号は調節可能である、第1の回路と、
前記磁場センサ信号に応答して、前記通過する磁性物品を示す第2の出力信号を提供する第2の回路であって、前記第2の出力信号は、前記第1の時間間隔に続く第2の時間間隔中に前記磁性物品検出器出力信号を提供する第2の回路と、
を備える装置。 - 前記しきい値信号は、前記第1の時間間隔の第1の部分の間に所定のレベルにあり、前記第1の時間間隔の第2の部分の間に調節される、請求項10に記載の装置。
- 前記第1の時間間隔の前記第1の部分は、前記第1の出力信号で所定数の遷移が生じた後に終了する、請求項10に記載の装置。
- さらに、前記磁場センサ信号の利得を調節するための自動利得制御回路を備え、前記しきい値信号は、前記自動利得制御回路によって決定される増分によって調節される、請求項10に記載の装置。
- さらに、前記第1の出力信号および前記第2の出力信号に応答して、前記第1の出力信号と前記第2の出力信号との位相関係の変化を示す制御信号を提供する位相比較器を備え、前記第1の時間間隔は、前記制御信号での遷移に応答して終了する、請求項10に記載の装置。
- 通過する磁性物品を検出しそして前記通過する磁性物品を示す磁性物品検出器出力信号を提供するための方法であって、
周囲磁場に比例する磁場信号を提供するステップと、
前記磁場信号に応答して第1の検出器出力信号を提供する第1の検出器によって、前記通過する磁性物品を検出するステップと、前記第1の検出器出力信号は第1の時間間隔にわたって前記磁性物品検出器出力信号を提供し、
前記磁場信号に応答して第2の検出器出力信号を提供する第2の検出器によって、前記通過する磁性物品を検出するステップと、前記第2の検出器出力信号は前記第1の時間間隔に続く第2の時間間隔にわたって前記磁性物品検出器出力信号を提供し、
前記第1の検出器出力信号と前記第2の検出器出力信号との位相関係の変化に応答して前記第1の時間間隔から前記第2の時間間隔に遷移するステップと
を含む方法。 - 第1の検出器によって前記通過する磁性物品を検出するステップは、前記第1の検出器出力信号を提供するために前記磁場信号をしきい値信号と比較するステップを含む、請求項15に記載の方法。
- さらに、前記第1の時間間隔の第1の部分の間に前記しきい値信号を所定のレベルで提供するステップと、前記第1の時間間隔の第2の部分の間に前記しきい値信号を調節するステップとを含む、請求項16に記載の方法。
- さらに、前記第1の検出器出力信号で所定数の遷移が生じた後に、前記第1の時間間隔の前記第1の部分を終了するステップを含む、請求項17に記載の方法。
- さらに、前記磁場信号の利得を調節するステップと、前記磁場信号の利得調節によって決定される増分によって前記しきい値信号を調節するステップとを含む、請求項17に記載の方法。
