Claims (20)
- 上面と前縁面とを有する絶縁ベースと、
電気接続を行うための前記絶縁ベースの前記上面上の複数のピンであって、電力接続を提供するピンおよび電気的なデータ接続を提供する少なくとも1つのピンを含む、複数のピンと、

ユニバーサルシリアルバスコネクタ。 - 前記少なくとも1つの埋設レンズに光学的に結合される少なくとも1つのファイバをさらに含む、請求項1に記載のユニバーサルシリアルバスコネクタ。
- 前記埋設レンズは、前記ファイバから現れるビームを拡張する、請求項2に記載のユニバーサルシリアルバスコネクタ。
- 前記埋設レンズは、前記ビームを1mmまで拡張する、請求項3に記載のユニバーサルシリアルバスコネクタ。
- 前記埋設レンズは、ビームを平行化してファイバに入れる、請求項2に記載のユニバーサルシリアルバスコネクタ。
- 前記絶縁ベースの前記前縁面上の4つの埋設レンズと、前記4つの埋設レンズの1つにそれぞれ光学的に結合される4つのファイバとをさらに含む、請求項2に記載のユニバーサルシリアルバスコネクタ。
- 組み合わせられる時に、前記絶縁ベースの前記前縁面上の前記少なくとも1つの埋設レンズに光学的に結合する、少なくとも1つの埋設レンズを含む、相手コネクタをさらに含む、請求項1に記載のユニバーサルシリアルバスコネクタ。
- 前記相手コネクタの前記埋設レンズは、前記絶縁ベースの前記前縁面上の前記少なくとも1つの埋設レンズと同じである、請求項7に記載のユニバーサルシリアルバスコネクタ。
- ユニバーサルシリアルバスコネクタに光機能をもたらす方法であって、
上面と前縁面とを有する絶縁ベースを提供することと、
電気接続を行うために、前記絶縁ベースの前記上面上に複数のピンを位置付けることであって、電力接続を提供するピンおよび電気的なデータ接続を提供する少なくとも1つのピンを含む、ことと、
光通信のために前記絶縁ベースの前記前縁面上に少なくとも1つのレンズを埋設することとを含む、
方法。 - ファイバから現れるビームを前記埋設レンズで1mmに拡張することをさらに含む、請求項9に記載の方法。
- ビームを前記埋設レンズでファイバの上に平行化することをさらに含む、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記絶縁ベースの前記前縁面上に複数の埋設レンズを提供することをさらに含む、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記埋設レンズを相手コネクタの対応するレンズに光学的に結合するために、前記ユニバーサルシリアルバスコネクタを前記相手コネクタに差し込むことをさらに含む、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記埋設レンズと、前記相手コネクタ内の前記対応するレンズとは、同じである、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 絶縁ベースの上面に取り付けられる4つの電気接続部を含み、電力接続を提供するピンおよび電気的なデータ接続を提供する少なくとも1つのピンを含むユニバーサルシリアルバスコネクタと、
前記絶縁ベースの前縁面の上の複数の埋設レンズであって、前記前縁面が前記上面と異なる、複数の埋設レンズと、
該複数の埋設レンズのそれぞれの1つにそれぞれ光学的に結合される複数のファイバとを含み、
各レンズは、ユニバーサルシリアルバス機械公差を満足するために、光ファイバから第一方向に進行するビームを拡張し、且つ、前記光ファイバ上を第二方向に進行するビームを平行化する、
光ユニバーサルシリアルバス。 - ユニバーサルシリアルバスと後方互換的である、請求項15に記載の光ユニバーサルシリアルバス。
- 前記絶縁ベースの前記前縁面上に4つの埋設レンズをさらに含む、請求項15に記載の光ユニバーサルシリアルバス。
- 前記ファイバの整列を容易化するために前記絶縁ベース内にV溝をさらを含む、請求項15に記載の光ユニバーサルシリアルバス。
- 組み合わせられるときに、前記絶縁ベースの前縁面の上の前記複数の埋設レンズと光学的に整列される同じ埋設レンズを有する相手光ユニバーサルシリアルバスコネクタをさらに含む、請求項15に記載の光ユニバーサルシリアルバス。
- 前記ビームは1mmに拡張される、請求項15に記載の光ユニバーサルシリアルバス。
