Claims (15)
- 基板;前記基板上に順次位置する第1導電層および第2導電層;および前記第1導電層と第2導電層との間に位置する、発光層を初めとする1層以上の有機層を含む有機発光素子であって、前記第1導電層と第2導電層のうちの少なくとも1つの導電層と前記1層以上の有機層との間に発光領域に相応するように形成されたパターン層が備えられ、該パターン層を介して導電層と有機層との間に電荷が注入または輸送され、前記パターン層の上面および下面に各々接する2層が直接接する領域では電荷が直接注入または輸送されず、前記パターン層は前記第1導電層と第2導電層とのうちの何れかの1つと接すると共にn−型有機層からなり、前記パターン層と接する有機層はp−型有機層からなると共に前記パターン層とNP接合をなし、
前記p−型有機層は前記パターン層と前記発光層との間に位置することを特徴とする有機発光素子。 - 前記第1導電層はカソード電極であり、前記第2導電層はアノード電極であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の有機発光素子。
- 前記第1導電層はアノード電極であり、前記第2導電層はカソード電極であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の有機発光素子。
- 前記アノード電極と有機層との間のパターン層は正孔注入層または正孔輸送層であることを特徴とする、請求項3に記載の有機発光素子。
- 前記有機層は正孔注入層(HIL)、正孔輸送層(HTL)、正孔抑制層(HBL)、電子輸送層(ETL)、および電子注入層(EIL)からなる群から選択された1つ以上のものをさらに含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の有機発光素子。
- 前記有機層から発生した光は前記基板に向かう方向(bottom emission)、前記基板の反対方向(top emission)または両方向に放出することを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の有機発光素子。
- 前記n−型有機物は4〜7eVのLUMOエネルギー準位および10−8cm2/Vs〜1cm2/Vsの電子移動度を有することを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の有機発光素子。
- 前記n−型有機層は下記の化学式1の化合物を含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の有機発光素子:
前記化学式1において、R1〜R6は各々水素、ハロゲン原子、ニトリル(−CN)、ニトロ(−NO2)、スルホニル(−SO2R)、スルホキシド(−SOR)、スルホンアミド(−SO2NR)、スルホネート(−SO3R)、トリフルオロメチル(−CF3)、エステル(−COOR)、アミド(−CONHRまたは−CONRR’)、置換もしくは非置換の直鎖または分枝鎖のC1−C12アルコキシ、置換もしくは非置換の直鎖または分枝鎖のC1−C12アルキル、置換もしくは非置換の芳香族または非芳香族の複素環、置換もしくは非置換のアリール、置換もしくは非置換のモノ−またはジ−アリールアミン、および置換もしくは非置換のアラルキルアミンからなる群から選択され、前記RおよびR’は各々置換もしくは非置換のC1−C60アルキル、置換もしくは非置換のアリール、および置換もしくは非置換の5−7員複素環からなる群から選択される。 - 第1導電層と、少なくとも1つの中間導電層および第2導電層と、前記導電層の間に各々配置された発光層を初めとする1層以上の有機層とを含む積層型有機発光素子であって、前記導電層のうちの少なくとも1つと前記1層以上の有機層との間に発光領域に相応するように形成されたパターン層が備えられ、該パターン層を介して導電層と有機層との間に電荷が注入または輸送され、前記パターン層の上面および下面に各々接する2層が直接接する領域では電荷が直接注入または輸送されず、前記パターン層は前記導電層の何れかの1つと接すると共にn−型有機層からなり、前記パターン層と接する有機層はp−型有機層からなると共に前記パターン層とNP接合をなし、
前記p−型有機層は前記パターン層と前記発光層との間に位置することを特徴とする積層型有機発光素子。 - それぞれの導電層と該導電層の上部に位置する有機層との間に前記パターン層が備えられることを特徴とする、請求項11に記載の積層型有機発光素子。
- 前記パターン層が2以上含まれ、該パターン層は互いに同じであるか異なるパターンを有することを特徴とする、請求項11に記載の積層型有機発光素子。
- 前記第1導電層と前記第2導電層との間に位置した第3導電層を含み、前記第3導電層の上部および下部に発光層を初めとする1層以上の有機層を含み、前記第1導電層、第2導電層および第3導電層のうちの少なくとも1つと1層以上の有機層との間に発光領域に相応するように形成されたパターン層が備えられることを特徴とする、請求項11に記載の積層型有機発光素子。
- 請求項1の有機発光素子を含む表示素子。
