Description
本発明は、上記事情に鑑みてなされたものであり、アプローチショットに対しては高スピン量であり、ドライバーショットに対しては低スピン量のゴルフボールが得られる新規なゴルフボール用材料を提供することを目的とする。
(1)剪断損失弾性率G”
ポリウレタンの剪断損失弾性率G”を以下の条件で測定した。
装置:TAインスツルメント社製レオメータARES
測定サンプル:プレス成形により、厚み2mmのポリウレタンシートを作製し、このポリウレタンシートから、幅10mm、クランプ間距離10mmになるように試料片を切り出した。
測定モード:捻り(剪断)
測定温度:0℃
加振周波数:10Hz
測定ひずみ:0.1%
ポリウレタンの引張損失弾性率E”を以下の条件で測定した。
装置:ユービーエム社製動的粘弾性測定装置Rheogel−E4000
測定サンプル:プレス成形により、厚み2mmのポリウレタンシートを作製し、このポリウレタンシートから、幅4mm、クランプ間距離20mmになるように試料片を切り出した。
測定モード:引張
測定温度:0℃
加振周波数:10Hz
測定ひずみ:0.1%
ゴルフラボラトリー社製スイングロボットに、アプローチウェッジ(SRIスポーツ社製、SRIXON I−302、シャフトS)を取り付け、ヘッドスピード21m/秒でゴルフボールを打撃し、打撃されたゴルフボールを連続写真撮影することによってスピン量(rpm)を測定した。測定は、各ゴルフボールについて10回ずつ行い、その平均値をスピン量とした。ドライスピン量は、クラブフェースとゴルフボールが乾いた状態で試験を行ったときのスピン量であり、ウエットスピン量は、クラブフェースとゴルフボールを水で濡らした状態で試験を行ったときのスピン量である。スピン保持率は、下記式により算出した。
スピン保持率(%)=100×ウエットスピン量/ドライスピン量
ゴルフラボラトリー社製スイングロボットに、ドライバー(SRIスポーツ社製、XXIO シャフトS ロフト11°)を取り付け、ヘッドスピード50m/秒でゴルフボールを打撃し、打撃されたゴルフボールを連続写真撮影することによってスピン量(rpm)を測定した。測定は、各ゴルフボールについて10回ずつ行い、その平均値をスピン量とした。
ポリウレタン、中間層用組成物、またはカバー用組成物を用いて、熱プレス成形により、厚み約2mmのシートを作製し、23℃で2週間保存した。このシートを、測定基板などの影響が出ないように、3枚以上重ねた状態で、ASTM−D2240に規定するスプリング式硬度計ショアD型を備えた高分子計器社製自動ゴム硬度計P1型を用いて測定した。
スプリング式硬度計JIS−C型を備えた高分子計器社製自動ゴム硬度計P1型を用いて、コアの表面部において測定したJIS−C硬度をコア表面硬度とした。また、コアを半球状に切断し、切断面の中心において測定したJIS−C硬度をコア中心硬度とした。
ポリオール成分について、下記の測定条件にてゲルパーミエーションクロマトグラフィ測定を行った。
測定条件
装置:東ソー社製、HLC−8120GPC
溶離液:THF
温度:40℃
カラム:TSKgel SuperHM−M(東ソー社製)
ポリオール濃度:0.2質量%(ポリオール/(ポリオール+THF))
サンプル注入量:5μl
流速:0.5ml/min
分子量標準:ポリスチレン(東ソー社製、PStQuick Kit−H)
(1)センターの作製
表1に示す配合のセンター用ゴム組成物を混練し、半球状キャビティを有する上下金型内で170℃で15分間加熱プレスすることにより球状のセンター(直径38.5mm)を得た。
アクリル酸亜鉛:日本蒸留製、「ZNDA−90S」
酸化亜鉛:東邦亜鉛製、「銀嶺R」
ジフェニルジスルフィド:住友精化製
ジクミルパーオキサイド:日本油脂製、「パークミル(登録商標)D」
次に、表2に示した配合の中間層材料を、二軸混練型押出機により押し出して、ペレット状の中間層用組成物を調製した。押出は、スクリュー径45mm、スクリュー回転数200rpm、スクリューL/D=35で行った。配合物は、押出機のダイの位置で150〜230℃に加熱された。得られた中間層用組成物を上述のようにして得られたセンター上に射出成形して、センターと前記センターを被覆する中間層を有するコア(直径41.7mm)を作製した。
ハイミランAM7329:三井デュポンポリケミカル社製の亜鉛イオン中和エチレン−メタクリル酸共重合体系アイオノマー樹脂
表3〜表4に示した組成比を有するポリウレタンを、以下のようにして合成した。80℃に加熱したジシクロヘキシルメタンジイソシアネート(H12MDI)に、80℃に加熱したポリテトラメチレンエーテルグリコール(PTMG)を投入し、さらに、原料(H12MDI、PTMGおよびBD)の総量の0.005質量%のジブチルチンジラウレート(アルドリッチ社製、ジブチルチンジラウレート)を投入した後、窒素気流下にて、80℃で2時間撹拌を行った。続いて、窒素気流下にて、80℃に加熱したブタンジオール(BD)を投入した後、80℃で1分間撹拌を行った。その後、反応液を冷却して、室温にて1分間減圧することにより系中の脱気を行った。脱気後の反応液を、容器に延展し、窒素雰囲気下、110℃にて6時間保存することにより、ウレタン化反応を行いポリウレタンを得た。
上述のようにして得られたポリウレタンを酸化チタンとともにドライブレンドし、二軸混練型押出機によりミキシングして、ペレット状のカバー用組成物を得た。押出は、スクリュー径45mm、スクリュー回転数200rpm、スクリューL/D=35で行った。配合物は、押出機のダイの位置で150〜230℃に加熱された。ハーフシェルの圧縮成形は、得られたペレット状のカバー用組成物をハーフシェル成形用金型の下型の凹部ごとに1つずつ投入し、加圧してハーフシェルを成形した。圧縮成形は、成形温度170℃、成形時間5分、成形圧力2.94MPaの条件で行った。
(2)で得られたコアを(4)で得られた2枚のハーフシェルで同心円状に被覆して、圧縮成形によりカバーを成形した。圧縮成形は、成形温度145℃、成形時間2分、成形圧力9.8MPaの条件で行った。

Claims (9)
- 動的粘弾性装置を用いて、加振周波数10Hz、温度0℃の測定条件で、剪断モードで測定した剪断損失弾性率G”が1.95×107Pa以下であり、引張モードで測定した引張損失弾性率E”の前記剪断損失弾性率G”に対する比(E”/G”)が1.78以上であることを特徴とするゴルフボールカバー用材料。
- 樹脂成分として、ポリウレタンを含有する請求項1に記載のゴルフボールカバー用材料。
- 前記ポリウレタンを構成するポリオール成分は、ポリテトラメチレンエーテルグリコールである請求項2に記載のゴルフボールカバー用材料。
- 前記ポリウレタンを構成するポリイソシアネート成分は、ジシクロヘキシルメタンジイソシアネートである請求項2または3に記載のゴルフボールカバー用材料。
- 前記ポリウレタンを構成する鎖延長剤成分が、1,4−ブタンジオールである請求項2〜4のいずれか一項に記載のゴルフボールカバー用材料。
- 前記剪断損失弾性率G”が1.83×10 7 Pa以下である請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載のゴルフボールカバー用材料。
- コアとカバーとを有するゴルフボールであって、前記カバーが、請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載のゴルフボールカバー用材料を含有することを特徴とするゴルフボール。
- 前記カバーのスラブ硬度は、ショアD硬度で5以上、80以下である請求項7に記載のゴルフボール。
- 前記カバーの厚みは、0.3mm以上、2.0mm以下である請求項7または8に記載のゴルフボール。
