Description
本発明は、乗用自動車や農機トラクタ等の車両に使用される動力伝達系、例えばプロペラシャフトに用いられる摺動式等速ジョイントに係り、一方が駆動軸、他方が従動軸となる二つの動力伝達部材の間に配置したシャフトの両端を、動力伝達部材のそれぞれに首振り自在に連結するものである。このシャフトの両端に連結される一対の摺動式等速ジョイントは、互いに同様の構造(対称)となっているので、シャフトの片端側の摺動式等速ジョイントについて説明する。
外側継手部材としての外輪4は、大径筒部8と小径筒部9とを同軸上に一体形成した部材である。小径筒部9の内周面には、軸線方向に延びる雌スプライン溝10が形成され、動力伝達部材2のスプライン軸11の外周面には、この雌スプライン溝10と係合する雄スプライン溝12が形成されている。つまり、動力伝達部材2と外輪4は、軸線方向にスライドして着脱自在に構成されている。
まず、一方の摺動式等速ジョイント3の小径筒部9を、相手側の動力伝達部材2のスプライン軸11に軸線方向にスライドして外嵌する(図1参照)。この状態では、一方の速ジョイント3の先端から他方の摺動式等速ジョイント3の先端までの軸線方向長さは、動力伝達部材2,2相互間の間隔寸法よりも長い。そこで、図2に示すように、他方の摺動式等速ジョイント3に、軸線方向の押圧力Aを付与し、両方の摺動式等速ジョイント3内のコイルばね21を圧縮した状態にする。つまり、押圧力Aを付与してコイルばね21を圧縮することで、摺動式等速ジョイント3,3の各先端相互間の軸線方向長さを、動力伝達部材2,2相互間の間隔寸法よりも短くすることができる。そして、他方の摺動式等速ジョイント3の小径筒部9を、相手側の動力伝達部材2のスプライン軸11に軸線方向にスライドして外嵌し、取付作業を完了する。

Claims (4)
- 動力伝達部材に連結される外側継手部材と、シャフトの端部に連結される内側継手部材を有し、前記外側継手部材と内側継手部材との間で、角度変位及び軸方向変位を許容しつつトルク伝達可能に構成された摺動式等速ジョイントにおいて、
前記外側継手部材内に、前記内側継手部材に連結された前記シャフトの先端と外側継手部材との間で軸方向に伸縮する弾性部材を設け、
さらに、前記弾性部材と前記シャフトの先端との間に介在し、シャフトの先端を接触案内する軸受部材を設け、
所定間隔で離間した二つの動力伝達部材の一方に他の摺動式等速ジョイントを介して一端が連結されたシャフトの他端に対して連結された状態で、前記弾性部材を軸方向に圧縮することにより、前記外側継手部材の先端とそれに対向する他方の動力伝達部材との間に隙間が生じるように構成したことを特徴とする摺動式等速ジョイント。 - 先端に球状凸面部を形成したキャップ部材を前記シャフトの先端に付設し、前記軸受部材に前記球状凸面部を接触案内する球状凹面部を形成したことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の摺動式等速ジョイント。
- 前記キャップ部材の先端中央にフラット面部を形成すると共に、当該フラット面部の周囲に環状の球状凸面部を形成したことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の摺動式等速ジョイント。
- 前記球状凸面部の曲率半径を、前記球状凹面部の曲率半径より小さく設定したことを特徴とする請求項2又は3に記載の摺動式等速ジョイント。
