Description
Claims (11)
- 表示領域及び非表示領域が定義され、前記表示領域には複数の画素が定義された第1基板及び第2基板と、
前記第1基板上の画素毎に形成された画素電極と、
前記第1基板上の非表示領域に形成され、前記画素電極と同一層に同一物質で前記第1基板上の表示領域の外郭に沿って形成された複数の第1接着改善突起と、
少なくとも前記第2基板上の表示領域に形成された共通電極と、
前記第2基板上の非表示領域に形成され、前記共通電極から分岐した複数の第2接着改善突起と、
前記第1接着改善突起及び前記第2接着改善突起と接着されるように前記第1基板と前記第2基板との間に形成された、導電性を有するシール材と
を含み、
前記共通電極には、前記シール材及び前記第1接着改善突起を介して共通電圧が印加される
ことを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 前記複数の第1接着改善突起が、前記シール材と直交するように一字状に形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記複数の第1接着改善突起及び前記複数の第2接着改善突起が、前記シール材と直交するように一字状に形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記第1接着改善突起と前記第2接着改善突起とが、交互に形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記第1接着改善突起は、前記シール材の延在方向と交差する方向に沿って形成されて前記シール材と重なる第1領域と、前記シール材と平行な方向に形成されて前記シール材と重なる第2領域とを含み、
前記第2接着改善突起は、前記シール材の延在方向と交差する方向に沿って形成されて前記シール材と重なる第3領域と、前記シール材と平行な方向に形成されて前記シール材と重なる第4領域とを含む
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。 - 前記シール材の延在方向に沿って、前記第1領域と前記第4領域とが交互に配置され、前記第2領域と前記第3領域とが交互に配置されていることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記第2基板には、少なくとも前記第1基板の非表示領域に対応するブラックマトリクスがさらに形成され、
前記第2接着改善突起が、前記ブラックマトリクス上に形成され、前記ブラックマトリクスに接触することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。 - 前記ブラックマトリクスが、樹脂を材料として形成されていることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記ブラックマトリクスが、金属を材料として形成されていることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記ブラックマトリクスが、クロムとクロム酸化物のいずれか一方を材料として形成されていることを特徴とする請求項9に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記第1基板上には、
互いに縦横に交差して複数の画素を定義する複数のゲートライン及び複数のデータラインと、
前記ゲートライン及び前記データラインに接続され、前記ゲートライン及び前記データラインを駆動するドライブ集積回路と
がさらに形成され、
前記第1接着改善突起の一部が、前記シール材における前記ゲートライン及び前記データラインと重なる領域とも重なるように形成されている
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
