Claims (4)
- 互いに並列する複数の気筒を備えて自動二輪車(V)に搭載されるエンジン本体(10)のシリンダヘッド(14)に、吸気弁(20)および排気弁(21)が各気筒毎に設けられると共に、それら吸気弁(20)および排気弁(21)を開閉駆動する動弁装置(27)が設けられ、該動弁装置(27)には、一部の気筒の吸気弁(20)および排気弁(21)をエンジンの運転状態に応じてそれぞれ閉弁休止状態に保持し得る油圧作動式の吸気側弁休止機構(38)および排気側弁休止機構(38)が、該一部の気筒の吸気弁(20)および排気弁(21)にそれぞれ対応して設けられ、その両弁休止機構(38)の油圧を制御する油圧制御装置(71)からの作動油が導かれるオイル通路(95,96)がシリンダヘッド(14)に設けられる自動二輪車用多気筒エンジンにおいて、
前記オイル通路(95,96)は、前記吸気側弁休止機構(38)および前記排気側弁休止機構(38)の間で気筒配列方向に沿って形成されると共に、前記オイル通路(95,96)を前記吸気側弁休止機構(38)に個別に連通する吸気側油路(66)と、前記オイル通路(95,96)を前記排気側弁休止機構(38)に個別に連通する排気側油路(67)とが前記シリンダヘッド(14)に設けられ、
前記吸気側油路(66)は前記吸気側弁休止機構(38)から前記オイル通路(95,96)に向かうにつれて高くなるように傾斜して形成されると共に、前記排気側油路(67)は前記排気側弁休止機構(38)から前記オイル通路(95,96)に向かうにつれて高くなるように傾斜して形成され、
サイドスタンド(S)を立てた自動二輪車(V)の駐車状態で前記オイル通路(95,96)のうち最も高くなる部分に通じるエア抜き孔(99,100)が前記シリンダヘッド(14)に設けられることを特徴とする自動二輪車用多気筒エンジン。 - 前記エンジン本体(10)は、気筒配列方向を車幅方向に沿わせるようにして自動二輪車(V)に搭載されるものであり、前記オイル通路(95,96)は前記両弁休止機構(38)の中間点よりも前記吸気側弁休止機構(38)寄りに偏倚して配置されることを特徴とする請求項1記載の自動二輪車用多気筒エンジン。
- 前記エア抜き孔(99,100)が、前記オイル通路(95,96)の端部に通じるようにして前記シリンダヘッド(14)に設けられることを特徴とする請求項1または2記載の自動二輪車用多気筒エンジン。
- 前記油圧制御装置(71)からの作動油を前記オイル通路(95,96)内に導く入口孔(101,102)が一端部に開口される前記オイル通路(95,96)の他端部に前記エア抜き孔(99,100)が開口されることを特徴とする請求項1ないし3の何れかに記載の自動二輪車用多気筒エンジン。
