本発明は、1996年9月4日に出願された発明の名称「干渉型放射線医療用インタフェース装置及び方法」の米国仮特許出願第60/025,433号から優先権主張する1997年9月4日に出願された発明の名称「干渉型放射線医療用インタフェース装置及び方法」の米国特許出願第08/923,477号の一部継続出願である。加えて、本出願は、1998年1月28日に出願された発明の名称「内視鏡処置シミュレーションシステム及び方法」の米国仮特許出願第60/072,672号から、1998年10月26日に出願された発明の名称「ピボット式エントリサイトを含む内視鏡手術シミュレーションシステム及び方法」の米国仮特許出願第60/105,661号から、及び1999年1月21日に出願された発明の名称「血管内処置シミュレーションシステム及び方法」の米国仮特許出願第60/116,545号から優先権主張する。前述の特許出願の開示内容は、そのままそっくり参考としてこの特許明細書に組み入れられる。
Claims (5)
- 医療処置を仮想患者のシミュレーション解剖模型で行うべくユーザがシミュレーションシステムと対話できるように医療器械に対応する周辺機器をシミュレーションシステムに接続するためのインタフェース装置において、前記インタフェース装置が、
ユーザが選択的に操作できる、医療器械に対応する周辺機器、
前記周辺機器を受け取るためのオリフィス、
前記周辺機器と係合し、それで前記インタフェース装置が該周辺機器の操作を測定できるようにする捕捉機構、および
前記捕捉された周辺機器の操作を測定し、該操作と関連する情報を、前記測定された操作に従って前記対応する医療器械による医療処置の実行をシミュレーションするシミュレーションシステムに伝送するセンサアセンブリ
を具備するインタフェース装置であって、
前記捕捉機構が、
前記周辺機器と係合する掴み部材、および
前記掴み部材を作動させ、前記周辺機器の操作に応答して該周辺機器と係合させるアクチュエータ
を含み、
前記掴み部材が前記周辺機器を受け取る管形部材を含み、前記アクチュエータが、
前記管形部材の横断面寸法を調整し易くするために、前記インタフェース装置に相対する前記周辺機器の並進動作に応答して該管形部材を伸縮させるばね
を含み、
前記ばねが前記インタフェース装置への前記周辺機器の挿入に応答して伸張すると、前記管形部材が伸び、これで、前記管形部材の横断面寸法が減少して前記周辺機器と係合するようになり、また、前記ばねが前記インタフェース装置からの前記周辺機器の引き抜きに応答して圧縮されると、前記管形部材が圧縮され、これで、前記管形部材の横断面寸法が増大して前記周辺機器からはずれるようになる
ことを特徴とするインタフェース装置。 - 請求項1に記載のインタフェース装置において、さらに、前記捕捉機構にバイアスをかけて開状態にし、それで、前記周辺機器を捕捉機構内において進入および解放できるようにするためのバイアス装置を含むことを特徴とするインタフェース装置。
- 請求項2に記載のインタフェース装置において、さらに、第1と第2のサポート、ならびに、前記周辺機器を前記オリフィスから受け取り、これを前記捕捉機構を介して前記センサアセンブリに結合するための結合機構を含み、前記センサアセンブリが前記第1と第2のサポートの間に位置し、前記捕捉機構が前記結合機構の近位端に位置し、前記バイアス装置が、
前記結合機構の遠位部分に取り付けられた第1の磁石、および
前記第1のサポートに取り付けられた第2の磁石
を含み、
該第1と第2の磁石の引力によって前記ばねが圧縮状態になるようにバイアスがかけられ、これで、前記管形部材の横断面寸法の増大、ならびに前記捕捉機構内における前記周辺機器の進入および解放が容易になる
ことを特徴とするインタフェース装置。 - ユーザが選択的に操作できる、医療器械に対応する周辺機器と、前記周辺機器の操作を測定するセンサアセンブリを有するインタフェースにおいて、該インタフェースを介して、医療処置を仮想患者のシミュレーション解剖模型で行うためにユーザがシミュレーションシステムと対話できるようにする方法において、
(a)周辺機器を前記インタフェース装置にオリフィスを介して挿入し、前記周辺機器を前記インタフェースの内部で選択的に操作し、
(b)前記周辺機器を捕捉機構を介して係合させ、それで前記インタフェースが該周辺機器の操作を測定できるようにし、
(c)捕捉された周辺機器の操作をセンサアセンブリにより測定し、
(d)測定された操作と関連する情報をインタフェースからシミュレーションシステムに伝送し、それで、測定された操作に従って対応する医療器械による医療処置の実行をシミュレーションするようにする、
各段階を具備した方法であって、
捕捉機構が掴み部材およびアクチュエータを含んでおり、段階(b)がさらに、
(b.1)周辺機器の掴み部材への操作に応答してアクチュエータを介して掴み部材を作動させ、周辺機器と係合させるようにする
段階を含み、
掴み部材が、捕捉機構の近位端と遠位端の間に配置された管形部材を含んでおり、アクチュエータが、該管形部材にかぶさるように配置してあってかつ該管形部材を伸縮させるばねを含んでおり、段階(b.1)がさらに、
(b.1.1)インタフェースへの周辺機器の挿入に応答してばねを伸張させることによって管形部材の横断面寸法を減少させ、それで、周辺機器と係合させるようにし、
(b.1.2)インタフェースからの周辺機器の引き抜きに応答してばねを圧縮することによって管形部材の横断面寸法を増大させ、それで、周辺機器を解放するようにする
各段階を含むことを特徴とする前記方法。 - 請求項4に記載の方法において、さらに、前記捕捉機構にバイアスをかけて開状態にし、それで、前記周辺機器を捕捉機構内において進入および解放できるようにすることを特徴とする前記方法。
