Description
ミラー板は、透明な樹脂からなるミラー本体と、ミラー本体に形成された反射部とからなり、ミラーホルダとミラー本体とが当接した部分が溶着されることにより、ミラーホルダにミラー板が固定されることを特徴とする。
周縁に当接する縁部を有し、ミラー板のミラー本体を通過したレーザ光が縁部の内壁面に
照射されることで縁部の内壁面が溶融されてなる溶融部によって、ミラーホルダがミラー
板に固定されている。
透明なミラー本体をレーザ光が通過する際、このレーザ光を、反射部で一旦反射させるようにして、ミラーホルダの縁部に照射させると、レーザ光をミラー板の上方からミラー板に入射させ易くなるので、レーザ光の入射範囲を容易に広げることができ、作業性が良好になる。つまり、反射ミラーが本来もっている反射部を有効活用して、レーザ溶着を図ったのが本発明である。
ミラーホルダの縁部に開口部を形成することで、ミラーホルダ側からミラーホルダの縁部の内壁面に向けてレーザ光を的確に照射することができる。
図1に示すように、ドアミラー1は、アーム部を介して前側のドアパネルに固定される椀形状をした樹脂製のドアミラーボディ2を備え、このドアミラーボディ2は、車両の後部側に向けて開放された開口部を有するケーシング3と、ケーシング3の開口部に嵌め込むようにしてケーシング3に固定されたカップ状の仕切板4とからなる。
ミラーホルダ11にミラー板10を固定するにあたって、ミラー本体14の表面14a側からレーザ光を入射させ、ミラー本体14を通過したレーザ光を、ミラー板10の反射部15で一旦反射させた後に、レーザ光をミラーホルダ11の上縁部13の内壁面13aに入射させる。これにより、ミラーホルダ11の上縁部13の内壁面13aに溶融部Aが形成され、この溶融部Aによって樹脂製のミラー本体14がミラーホルダ11に接合される。
図4に示すように、ミラーホルダ11にミラー板10を固定するにあたって、ミラー本体14の表面側からレーザ光を入射させ、ミラー本体14を通過したレーザ光を、ミラー板10の反射部15で一旦反射させた後に、レーザ光をミラーホルダ11の側縁部12の内壁面12aに入射させる。これにより、ミラーホルダ11の側縁部12の内壁面12aに溶融部Aが形成され、この溶融部Aによって樹脂製のミラー本体14がミラーホルダ11に接合される。
図5に示すように、ミラーホルダ11にミラー板10を固定するにあたって、ミラー本体14の表面14a側からレーザ光を入射させ、ミラー本体14を通過したレーザ光を、ミラーホルダ11の側縁部12の内壁面12aに直接入射させる。これにより、ミラーホルダ11の側縁部12の内壁面12aに溶融部Aが形成され、この溶融部Aによって樹脂製のミラー本体14がミラーホルダ11に接合される。
図6に示すように、第2の実施形態に係る車載用ミラーに適用される反射ミラー25には、ミラーホルダ21の縁部21Bにおいて、その側縁部22にレーザ通過用の開口部23が形成されている。他の構成は、第1の実施形態に係る車載用ミラー1に適用される反射ミラー5と同じであるので、同一構成には同一符号を付して、重複する説明は省略する。

- ミラーホルダによってミラー板を保持した構成を有する反射ミラーが設けられた車載用ミラーにおいて、

前記ミラー板の前記ミラー本体を通過したレーザ光が前記縁部の内壁面に照射されることで前記縁部の前記内壁面が溶融されてなる溶融部によって、前記ミラーホルダと前記ミラー本体とが当接した部分が溶着されることにより、前記ミラーホルダに前記ミラー板が固定されることを特徴とする車載用ミラー。 - 前記縁部は、前記ミラー板の端面に当接する側縁部と、前記側縁部の端部から突出して前記ミラー板の表面に当接する上縁部と、を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の車載用ミラー。
- 前記溶融部は、前記ミラー板の前記反射部を反射させた後に前記縁部の前記内壁面に達する前記レーザ光によって形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の車載用ミラー。
- 前記溶融部は、前記ミラーホルダの前記縁部に形成された開口部を通過した後に前記ミラー本体に入射させられて前記縁部の前記内壁面に達する前記レーザ光によって形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の車載用ミラー。
