Claims (5)
- 外部からの空気を燃焼室へ導く吸気通路、該吸気通路の途中に設けられた燃料噴射装置、及び、前記吸気通路を冷却すべく冷却水が通流するウォータージャケットを備え、
前記吸気通路は、その内壁面に、前記燃料噴射装置から噴射された燃料が付着する燃料付着領域を有し、
前記ウォータージャケットは、前記燃料付着領域付近以外に設けられており、
更に、前記燃料噴射装置による燃料の噴射中心線を含む垂直断面において、前記吸気通路の壁部と前記噴射中心線とが交わる部分付近より下方に、前記ウォータージャケットの前記吸気通路側の上端部が位置していることを特徴とする燃料噴射式エンジン。 - 前記燃料噴射装置は、その燃料の噴射中心線が、前記吸気通路において前記燃料噴射装置が設けられた部分での吸気の通流方向に対して交差し且つ前記吸気通路の内壁面と交わるように設けられていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の燃料噴射式エンジン。
- 前記吸気通路の下流部分を成す吸気ポートが後部に形成されたシリンダヘッドと該シリンダヘッドの下方に配置されたシリンダブロックとから構成されて前傾したシリンダ、及び、該シリンダ内に延設されてポンプによって送り出された冷却水が通流する冷却水通路を備え、
該冷却水通路は、前記シリンダの前側壁部を通って上方へ向い、前記シリンダヘッドの前側壁部から外部へ至ると共に、該シリンダヘッドの壁部内において前記ウォータージャケットに連通していることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の燃料噴射式エンジン。 - 外部からの空気を燃焼室へ導く吸気通路、該吸気通路の途中に設けられた燃料噴射装置、及び、前記吸気通路を冷却すべく冷却水が通流するウォータージャケットを備え、該ウォータージャケットは、前記燃料噴射装置による燃料の噴射中心線と前記吸気通路の壁部とが交わる部分付近以外に設けられており、
前記燃料噴射装置は、前記吸気通路を形成する壁部に設けられ、
前記燃料噴射装置より上流側には、前記吸気通路内の吸気流量を調整すべく、通流方向に沿って揺動可能なバタフライ弁が備えられており、該バタフライ弁は、揺動軸芯に対して前記燃料噴射装置が設けられている前記吸気通路の壁部に近接する側の部分が下流側へ揺動することにより、前記吸気通路を開放するように構成されていることを特徴とする燃料噴射式エンジン。 - 上記請求項1乃至4の何れかに記載の燃料噴射式エンジンを備えることを特徴とする自動二輪車。
