Claims (4)
- 間隔を設けて配置された第1及び第2基板と、
前記第1及び第2基板の間隙に形成され、画素に対応して仕切られた閉空間内に封入された泳動粒子と、
前記閉空間の側面に配置された第1電極と、
前記閉空間の底面に配置された第2電極と、
前記第1電極と前記第2電極の表面を覆う絶縁層と、を有し、
前記第1電極と前記第2電極の面積とが等しく、前記第1電極から電極上の前記絶縁層の表面までの距離と前記第2電極から電極上の前記絶縁層の表面までの距離とが等しく、かつ前記第1電極の表面の延長面と前記第2電極の表面の延長面とが交差する線を交線とし、前記交線と前記第1電極の表面の前記交線に最も近い辺の間の距離と、前記交線と前記第2電極の表面の前記交線に最も近い辺と間の距離とが等しいことを特徴とする電気泳動表示素子。 - 前記閉空間の側面の対向する2面に前記第1電極が配置されていることを特徴とする請求項1記載の電気泳動表示素子。
- 前記閉空間の側面の4面に前記第1電極が配置されていることを特徴とする請求項1記載の電気泳動表示素子。
- 前記閉空間の対向する側面に前記第1電極が配置され、前記閉空間の対向する他の側面に前記第1電極と第2電極とにより生じる電界の隣接する画素への影響を打ち消すための側面電極が配置されていることを特徴とする請求項1記載の電気泳動表示素子。
