A)光学的品質
気泡、またはガラスとポリマー中間膜が完全に接触していない領域などの目視的欠陥を求めて裸眼で積層板を調べた。試験用積層板を高輝度キセノン光下に置き、レンズ効果により作り出される明るい斑点および暗い斑点を探すことにより、積層板にわたる中間膜の厚さの変動により作り出される光学的ディストーション(レンズ)を評価した。
パンメル接着性はガラスへのプラスチックシートの接着性を測定する。衝撃放散性に近似させるために、パンメル接着性試験を実施した。パンメル接着性を測定するため、ガラス積層板を調製し、−17℃に調節し、1ポンドのハンマにより手で叩いて(pummeled)、ガラスを破壊した。PVB層に付着していないすべての破壊したガラスを取り除いた。付着して残ったガラスの量を、パンメルスケールが知られている1組の標準と目視で比較した。標準についての数が大きいほど、PVB中間膜に付着して残っているガラスの量が多い(すなわち、パンメルがゼロでは、ガラスはまったく残っていないが、パンメルが10では100%のPVB層表面がガラスに付着している)。パンメル接着値は単位を有さない。
100℃のオーブン内に約16時間積層板を置き、次いで取り出し、気泡について目視検査した。積層板内、積層板周縁部周囲の1/4インチの境界領域外側に位置するどんな単一の気泡も、破壊とみなした。積層板内にこのような気泡がまったく見出されない場合、オーブン内に積層板を戻し、10℃ずつ110℃まで温度を上げた。110℃で1時間の後、積層板の気泡を再び調べた。試験に不合格のどんな積層板も取り除いた。合格したすべての積層板をオーブン内に戻し、10℃だけ温度を上げた。その温度で1時間積層板を放置した。すべての積層板が不合格になるまでこの方法を続けた。
沸騰水中に2時間、積層板断面部を沈め、次いで気泡生成について目視で調査した。この試験に合格する積層板は、積層板周縁部周囲の境界領域1/2インチを除いて、積層板内にまったく気泡を示さない。
Claims (19)
- プラスチック材料の0.35重量パーセント未満の湿分含量を有するプラスチック材料を、少なくとも1枚の剛直な基板と向き合わせて配置するステップと、
少なくとも1枚の剛直な基板もしくは前記プラスチック材料またはそれらを任意に組み合せたものを40〜130℃の温度で粘着温度まで予熱するステップと、
真空脱気なしでニップロールを使用する短時間圧力適用によって、前記プラスチック材料および前記基板を粘着させて、予備積層板を形成させるステップと、
125〜220℃の温度で、かつ前記プラスチック材料を前記基板に接合させるため有効な時間の間前記予備積層板を加熱するステップと
を含む積層板を製造するための方法であって、前記加熱するステップが1気圧の圧力で行われ、前記予備積層板が1気圧未満で真空処理する脱気を受けず、前記方法が3気圧を超える圧力での後続する又は先行するオートクレーブステップを含まない方法。 - プラスチック材料の0.35重量パーセント未満の湿分含量を有するプラスチック材料が、2枚の剛直な基板の間にはさまれる請求項1に記載の方法。

前記ポリビニルブチラールを前記基板に接合させるため150〜220℃の温度で、0.5〜180分間加熱して、積層板を形成させるステップと
を含み、 前記加熱するステップが、1気圧の圧力で実施される請求項1又は2に記載の方法。 - 前記ポリビニルブチラールシートの0.01と0.20重量パーセントの間の湿分含量を低下させることにより前記ポリビニルブチラールシートをコンディショニングするステップを含む請求項18に記載の方法。
