上記式で達成されるレートは、周波数分割多重(FDM)方式を示す図1の凸状曲線を描く分節化された線108から直感的に視覚化される。2つのユーザ間で使用可能な電力および帯域幅を適切なやり方で分割する方式は、リソースを時分割分断するよりも性能が優れていることは明らかである。しかしながら、第2の方式は、それでもなお最適なものではない。

によって特徴付けられ、容量を示す図1の点線曲線110によって示される。重畳符号化と呼ばれる通信手法がこの容量領域を達成できることが、トーマス・カバー(Thomas Cover)により、ティー・エム・カバー(T.M.Cover)著,「同報チャネル(Broadcast Channels)」,情報理論に関する電気電子技術者協会会報(IEEE Transactions on Information Theory)IT−18(1):214,1972年において示されている。この手法では、互いに異なるユーザに対する信号が、互いに異なる電力で同一の送信リソースにおいて送信されて、互いに重畳される。重畳符号化によって達成可能なゲインは、送信リソースを互いに異なるユーザ間で分割する必要のある他のどの通信手法にも勝る。
図15は、本発明に係る、装置の例である、例えば基地局または無線端末である装置5 1502を示す。この装置は、結合信号を受信するために使用されてもよく、受信情報の2つの組である、情報A’1516と、情報B’1518とを取得する。情報A’1516は、図11の元の送信前の情報である情報A1150の第1の組に対応する、情報の回復された組である。情報B’1518は、図11の元の送信前の情報である情報B1160の第1の組に対応する、情報の回復された組である。装置5 1502は、第1の受信器である受信器1 1506を含み、当該受信器は、インパルスノイズフィルタ1510と、誤り訂正モジュール1512とを含む。結合信号である信号8 1520は、時間に渡って共に送信された信号、例えば図13の信号3 1406(基礎となる信号の通常)と、図13の信号4 1408(フラッシュ信号)とを含み、当該結合信号は、受信器1 1506によって処理され、そこにおいて、インパルスノイズフィルタ1510が、第2の情報の組1160から派生されたMTU単位に対応する信号を遮断または拒絶する。第1の情報の組1150に対応するMTUの組内のMTUの大部分に対応する残りの信号(通常信号)は、「失われた情報」を回復する誤り訂正モジュール1512によって処理され、よって、情報A’1516の受信された組は、情報A1150の送信前の組をよく表すものとなる。また、装置5 1502は、第2の受信器である受信器2 1508を含み、当該第2の受信器は、バックグラウンドノイズフィルタ1514を含む。また、結合信号8 1520は、受信器2 1508に入力し、そこにおいて、バックグラウンドノイズフィルタ1514は、例えば信号3 1406などの情報の第1の組1150に対応する信号をノイズとして扱って、この低レベル信号を除去または拒絶して、情報B1160の送信前の第2の組をよく表すものが再構築されうる元となる信号(例えば、フラッシュ信号)を、受信された情報の組B’1518として残す。

Claims (23)
- 送信ブロックを使用して、少なくとも情報の第1および第2の組を送信する方法であって、前記送信ブロックは、複数の最小伝送ユニットを含み、各最小伝送ユニットは、情報の送信のために使用されるリソースの固有の組み合わせに対応し、前記リソースは、時間と、周波数と、位相と、拡散符号とのうちの少なくとも2つを含み、当該方法は、
情報の前記第1の組を伝達するのに使用される前記最小伝送ユニットの第1の組であって、少なくとも前記送信ブロックの大多数を含む前記第1の組を規定することと、
情報の前記第2の組を伝達するのに使用される前記最小伝送ユニットの第2の組であって、第1の組よりも少ない最小伝送ユニットを含む最小伝送ユニットの前記第2の組を規定することであって、最小伝送ユニットの第1および第2の組内の最小伝送ユニットの少なくともいくつかは同一であり、
情報の第1および第2の組を、最小伝送ユニットの前記第1および第2の組に含まれる最小伝送ユニットを使用して通信することとを含む、方法。 - 前記情報は、ユーザデータと、受信通知および割り当て情報を含む制御情報とのうちの少なくとも1つである、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 情報の第1および第2の組を通信することは、互いに異なる送信器から、情報の前記第1および第2の組にそれぞれ対応する信号を送信することを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記互いに異なる送信器は、互いに異なる装置に取り付けられる、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 情報の前記第1および第2の組に対応する信号は、同一の送信器から送信される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 最小伝送ユニットの前記第1の組は、前記送信ブロック内の最小伝送ユニットの総数の少なくとも75%を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 最小伝送ユニットの第2の組は、最小伝送ユニットの第1の組の最小伝送ユニットの数の半分より少ない数の最小伝送ユニットを有する、請求項6に記載の方法。
- 最小伝送ユニットの第2の組内の各最小伝送ユニットは、最小伝送ユニットの前記第1の組にも含まれる、請求項6に記載の方法。
- 情報の第1および第2の組を通信することは、最小伝送ユニットの前記第2の組内の各最小伝送ユニットを使用して、情報の前記第2の組を送信することを含み、
情報の第1の組を通信することは、情報の前記第1の組を送信することを含み、最小伝送ユニットの前記第1の組の少なくともいくつかを送信することを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 最小伝送ユニットの第1の組の前記少なくともいくつかは、最小伝送ユニットの前記第2の組に含まれない最小伝送ユニットのみを含む、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 最小伝送ユニットの前記第1の組の前記少なくともいくつかは、前記第2の組内の最小伝送ユニットを含む、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 情報の第1および第2の組は、それぞれ、少なくとも第1および第2の信号を使用して通信され、当該方法は、第1および第2の信号を結合して、結合信号を形成することをさらに含み、当該結合は、最小伝送ユニットの前記第1および第2の組に含まれる最小伝送ユニットを使用して前記結合信号を送信することに先立って行われる、請求項11に記載の方法。

扱うことによって失われた情報を回復するための誤り訂正手段を含む、請求項17に記載の装置。 - 前記第1および第2の信号は、同一の周波数帯域を共有する、請求項17に記載の方法。
- 時間に渡って共に送信された第1および第2の信号を含む結合信号を受信する装置であって、当該装置は、
結合信号を受信するための第1の受信器であって、
i)前記受信された結合信号からインパルスノイズをフィルタリングするための第1のフィルタモジュールであって、第2の信号に対応する前記信号の部分をインパルスノイズとして扱う、前記フィルタリングモジュールと
ii)前記第1のフィルタモジュールに結合され、第1の信号に対応する情報を復号化するための第1のデコーダであって、最小伝送ユニットの第1の組における受信された結合信号の値を決定する、前記第1のデコーダとを含む第1の受信器と、
第2の受信器であって、
i)バックグラウンドノイズを前記受信された結合信号からフィルタリングするための第2のフィルタモジュールと、
ii)前記第2のフィルタモジュールに結合され、第2の信号に対応する情報を復号化するための第2のデコーダであって、最小伝送ユニットの第2の組における受信された結合信号の値を決定する、前記第2のデコーダとを含む第2の受信器とを含み、最小伝送ユニットの前記第2の組の大多数は、伝送ユニットの前記第1の組に含まれる、装置。 - 時間に渡って共に送信された第1および第2の信号を含む結合信号を受信する装置であって、当該装置は、
結合信号を受信して、前記第2の信号に対応する前記結合信号内の最小伝送ユニットを識別するための第2の受信器であって、第2の信号に対応する識別された最小伝送ユニットを識別する情報を出力する第2の受信器と、
前記結合信号を受信する第1の受信器であって、前記第1の信号に対応する前記結合信号の部分を復号化するためのデコーダを含み、前記デコーダは、第2の信号に対応する識別された最小伝送ユニットを識別する前記情報を受信して、第2の信号に対応する前記識別された最小伝送ユニットを廃棄する、第1の受信器とを含む、装置。 - 第2の信号に対応する前記識別されたユニットは、互いに異なるシンボル送信時間におけるトーンの同相および直交成分のうちの1つである、請求項21に記載の装置。
