sM(1)xOy・tM(2)2O・Al2O3・uSiO2・vRmQn・wH2O (1)
(式中、M(1)は抗菌性を有する金属を表し、M(2)はNa、K及びHからなる群より選ばれる1種以上の元素を表し、RはNa、K、Ca及びMgからなる群より選ばれる1種以上の元素を表し、QはCO3、SO4、NO3、OH及びClからなる群より選ばれる1種以上の原子団を表し、sは0<s≦3、tは0≦t≦3(但し、s+t=0.5〜3である)、uは0.5≦u≦6、vは0<v≦2、wはw≧0、xは1≦x≦2、yは1≦y≦3、mは1≦m≦2、nは1≦n≦3を満たす。)
図1〜図3に示す構成の失禁パッドを製造した。失禁パッドにおけるトップシートは2.5dtexのポリエチレン/ポリプロピレン複合繊維のサクションヒートボンド不織布(坪量25g/m2)であった。活性炭シートとして、粒径30μmの活性炭を含む坪量63g/m2の湿式抄造紙を用いた。活性炭の配合量は5.0重量%であった。この活性炭シートの上下を、図4に示すように坪量17g/m2のティッシュペーパーで挟み、活性炭シートの両側縁からの活性炭の脱落を防止した。抗菌シートとして、セチルリン酸ベンザルコニウムが含浸された湿式抄造紙を用いた。セチルリン酸ベンザルコニウムの含有量は0.2重量%であった。吸収性コアとして、フラッフパルプと高吸収性ポリマーとの積繊体を用いた。積繊体坪量は300g/m2であった。フラッフパルプの坪量は150g/m2、高吸収性ポリマーの坪量は150g/m2であった。吸収性コアはその長さが195mm、幅が70mmであった。バックシートとしては、ポリエチレン製の透湿性シート(坪量39g/m2)を用いた。
抗菌シートを用いない以外は実施例1と同様にして失禁パッドを得た。
活性炭シートを用いない以外は実施例1と同様にして失禁パッドを得た。
抗菌シート及び活性炭シートを用いず、その代わりに坪量16g/m2のティッシュペーパーで吸収性コアを包んだ以外は実施例1と同様にして失禁パッドを得た。
失禁パッドに健常な成人男子5人から採取して混合した人尿を50g注入し、失禁パッドから発生する臭いを10人のモニターにより、6時間おきに24時間まで以下の4段階の基準で評価させた。その結果を図5に示す。

Claims (5)
- 金属イオンを含有しない抗菌剤又は金属イオンを実質的に水に溶解しない状態で含有する抗菌剤と、活性炭とが、吸収性コアとトップシートとの間に配されてなり、
前記吸収性コアが、前記活性炭を含む繊維シートで被覆され、その上から前記抗菌剤を含む繊維シートで被覆されており、
前記吸収性コアは、その上面の長手方向中央領域が、前記活性炭を含む繊維シート及び前記抗菌剤を含む繊維シートによって被覆されており、
前記吸収性コアは、前記活性炭を含む繊維シートの前端及び後端からそれぞれ前後方向に向けて延出している領域が、前記抗菌剤を含む繊維シートによって被覆されている吸収性物品。 - 前記吸収性コアの幅方向断面でみたときに、前記抗菌剤を含む繊維シートが、前記吸収性コア及び前記活性炭を含む繊維シートの全体を包み込むように被覆している請求項1記載の吸収性物品。
- 前記活性炭を含む繊維シートの前端及び後端からそれぞれ前後方向に向けて延出している領域が、前記抗菌剤を含む繊維シートによって取り巻かれている請求項2記載の吸収性物品。
- 前記抗菌剤が第四級アンモニウム塩からなる請求項1ないし3のいずれかに記載の吸収性物品。
- 前記第四級アンモニウム塩が、セチルリン酸ベンザルコニウムである請求項4記載の吸収性物品。
