Description
既に述べたように、荷重センサが検出する荷重には、人体等が支持体に乗った場合に安定的に生じる荷重である静荷重と、心拍など静荷重と対比すると突発的に発生する動荷重とがある。それぞれの荷重は、荷重センサの出力として現れる信号の周波数が異なる。従って、異なる周波数領域において、荷重センサの出力を信号処理することにより、両荷重をそれぞれ別個に検出することができる。上述したように、人体等による荷重が充分に掛かっている状態では支持体に人体等が密着しており、心拍などの微小振動も支持体を介して荷重センサに伝播し易い。換言すれば、静荷重が充分に検出されている状態では、心拍などの微小振動を示す動荷重を検出し易い。そして、上述したように、静荷重と動荷重とは、異なる周波数領域において荷重センサの出力を信号処理することにより、独立して検出することができる。従って、例えば第一の周波数領域の信号に基づいて静荷重を評価して、その評価結果に基づいて荷重センサを選択し、選択された荷重センサの出力に含まれる第二の周波数領域の信号に基づいて、動荷重(振動)を検出することができる。

Claims (5)
- 人又は動物の体を支持する支持体の検出対象エリア内に分散して配置された複数の荷重センサと、
前記複数の荷重センサからの出力を取得して、それぞれの荷重センサの出力、又はそれぞれの荷重センサの出力及びそれぞれの荷重センサが配置される位置に基づいて前記複数の荷重センサの中から一部の荷重センサを選択する選択手段と、
選択された荷重センサの出力に基づいて前記支持体に加わる荷重及び振動を検出可能な検出手段と、を備え、
前記選択手段は、前記複数の荷重センサの出力に含まれる第一の周波数領域の信号に基づいて、前記一部の荷重センサを選択し、前記検出手段は、選択された荷重センサの出力に含まれる前記第一の周波数領域とは異なる第二の周波数領域の信号に基づいて前記荷重及び前記振動を検出する荷重検出装置。 - 前記選択手段は、前記複数の荷重センサの出力に含まれる前記第一の周波数領域の信号に基づいて、前記複数の荷重センサのそれぞれの出力が示す荷重を評価し、前記配置に対する前記複数の荷重センサの出力の分布に基づいて前記一部の荷重センサを選択する請求項1に記載の荷重検出装置。
- 前記選択手段は、前記複数の荷重センサの出力に含まれる前記第一の周波数領域の信号に基づいて、前記複数の荷重センサのそれぞれの出力が示す荷重を評価し、前記複数の荷重センサの出力が示す荷重の絶対値が最も大きい荷重センサを選択する請求項1に記載の荷重検出装置。
- 前記検出エリアは、横たわり、又は着座する前記人又は前記動物が接触する範囲に設定され、前記複数の荷重センサは、歪又は振動を圧電効果により電気信号に変換して出力する圧電効果型センサであって、前記検出手段は、前記人又は前記動物の体重、脈拍、呼吸の少なくとも1つを検出する請求項1〜3の何れか一項に記載の荷重検出装置。
- 人又は動物の体を支持する支持体の検出対象エリア内に分散して配置された複数の荷重センサからの出力を順次取得して、前記複数の荷重センサの出力に含まれる第一の周波数領域の信号に基づいて、それぞれの荷重センサの出力を評価する評価工程と、
前記評価工程の評価結果、又は前記評価工程の評価結果及び前記複数の荷重センサが配置される位置に基づいて、前記複数の荷重センサの中から一部の荷重センサを選択する選択工程と、
前記選択工程で選択された荷重センサの出力に含まれる前記第一の周波数領域とは異なる第二の周波数領域の信号に基づいて、前記支持体に加わる荷重及び振動の一方又は双方を検出する検出工程と、を備える荷重検出方法。
