Description
アリゾナ・デジタル・スクリーン・プレス(Arizona Digital Screen Press)(カリフォルニア州サン・ノゼのグレタグ・イメージング・グループの一部、ラスターグラフィックス(Raster Graphics,a member of Gretag Imaging Group,San Jose,CA)から入手可能;および3Mから入手可能なスコッチカル(Scotchcal)(登録商標)3700シリーズピエゾインクジェットインクを使用して、全フィルムサンプルに印刷を行った。ある範囲の印刷濃度を有する特定の写真画像をテスト画像として選択し、プリンタを、6色8パスモードで、乾燥機温度設定45℃および重打ちなし(全インク設定100%)で、作動させた。印刷すべきフィルム片を、RG180−10フィルム上にテープで貼り、プリンタに通した。
表1は、画像化された受像体フィルムの受像層の組成を示す。表2は、ピエゾインクジェットプリントテストの結果を要約している。インク受容フィルムに使用されたインク吸収性樹脂の記述は、表3に示されている。
コロナ処理を用いなかった以外は、実質的に米国特許第5,721,086号に記載されているように、3つの層フィルムをブローンフィルムライン上に製造した。3つの押出機を、Z1=130℃、Z2=Z3=200℃に設定し、ダイを200℃に設定した。受像層については、実施例17および18以外は、変性EVA担体樹脂およびアクリル樹脂を、乾燥混合し、次に、押出機に供給した。実施例17および18の場合、バイネル(BYNEL)3101、エルバロイ(ELVALOY)741、およびアクリル樹脂を、ツリンスクリュー押出機を使用して予め混合し、次に、ペレット化した。
実施例22は、コロナ処理を用いなかった以外は、実質的に米国特許第5,721,086号に記載されているように、従来のブローンフィルム同時押出プロセスを使用して製造された多層片面印刷可能バナーであった。7の押出機A、B、C、D、E、F、Gが各々、溶融配合物を環状ダイに供給し、溶融物を組合せて、スリーブ形状の、7の別個の層からなる1つの溶融流を形成した。押出機Aの溶融物は、受像体層を形成し、押出機B、C、D、E、F、Gの溶融物は、基材層を形成した。次に、空気を、溶融ポリマースリーブ内に導入し、ブローンフィルムタワーの頂部で、ダイとニップロールとの間で、閉じ込めることによって、溶融ポリマースリーブをブローし、その最終直径および厚さにした。次に、フィルムスリーブを切開いて、2つの平坦フィルムウェブにし、コア上に巻いた。結果として生じるサンプルの厚さは、約12ミル(300マイクロメートル)であった。このバナー材料を、3Mから入手可能なスコッチカル(Scotchcal)(登録商標)2300シリーズインクを使用して、100°F(38℃)予熱および残りのヒーターセクション上で140°F(60℃)で、ウルトラ(Ultra)(200 SF/H)およびエンハンスト(Enhanced)(400 SF/H)速度の両方で動作するビューテック(VUTEk)2360SCインクジェットプリンタで印刷した。各サンプルは、良好な溶剤吸収性を示した。画像は、良好な解像度および色濃度を示した。配合物データは、表6に示されている。
Claims (4)
- 溶剤ベースのインクジェットインクを受容する押出された受像層を含む受像体媒体であって、前記受像層が、a)変性ポリオレフィン樹脂もしくはポリウレタン樹脂、またはそれらの組合せを含む担体樹脂(但し、前記変性ポリオレフィン樹脂が酸変性エチレンアクリレートである場合を除く)と、b)前記担体樹脂と適合性があり、10重量%〜50重量%で存在し、メチルメタクリレートと、ブチルアクリレート、ブチルメタクリレート、イソブチルメタクリレート、またはイソボルニルメタクリレートとのコポリマー;イソブチルメタクリレートとブチルメタクリレートとのコポリマー;ブチルメタクリレート樹脂;およびそれらの組合せからなる群から選択される、インク吸収性樹脂とのブレンドを含む、受像体媒体。
- 溶剤ベースのインクジェットインクを受容する押出された受像層を含む受像体媒体上に、溶剤ベースのインクジェットインクを噴出する工程を含む、インクジェットプリンタで印刷する方法であって、前記受像層が、
a)変性ポリオレフィン樹脂もしくはポリウレタン樹脂、またはそれらの組合せを含む担体樹脂(但し、前記変性ポリオレフィン樹脂が酸変性エチレンアクリレートである場合を除く)と、
b)前記樹脂と適合性があり、メチルメタクリレートと、ブチルアクリレート、ブチルメタクリレート、イソブチルメタクリレート、またはイソボルニルメタクリレートとのコポリマー;イソブチルメタクリレートとブチルメタクリレートとのコポリマー;ブチルメタクリレート樹脂;およびそれらの組合せからなる群から選択される、10重量%〜50重量%のインク吸収性樹脂とのブレンドを含む、方法。 - 請求項1の受像層をコア層と同時押出する工程を含む、多層受像体媒体を作製する方法。
- 前記受像体媒体の表面上にインクジェット画像を有する請求項1の受像体媒体を含む、画像化されたグラフィックスフィルム。
