例えば、特許文献1(特開平7−97517号)には、ポリアミドイミド樹脂及びポリイミド樹脂のうち少なくとも一方50〜73wt%と、固体潤滑剤としてのポリテトラフルオロエチレン(PTFE)3〜15wt%、二硫化モリブデン20〜30wt%及びグラファイト2〜8wt%とからなり、固体潤滑剤の総和が27〜50wt%である摺動材料は、ねずみ鋳鉄潤滑、0.08〜1m/sの低速でかつ比較的低荷重条件で耐摩耗性及び初期なじみ性にすぐれ、ピストンスカート部の表面層に適していることが開示されている。

上記(1)の方法による金属のみが被覆された斜板は、潤滑油が乏しい運転状態時、相手シューとの焼付きを生ずる可能性があり、また(3)、(4)、(6)、(7)の方法による金属の上に固体潤滑皮膜形成を行った斜板は、近年の高速回転、高荷重条件では、被覆の剥離という問題が生じる。上記(5)の方法は、DLC被覆が繰り返し荷重によりクラックを生じ、樹脂コーティング同様剥離の問題がある。
上記(8)の方法は、特に焼結による金属層に樹脂層やめっき層を形成し、接着面の表面積を稼ぐことにより、剥がれを防止しようとするものである。しかしながら樹脂コートのみの部分があることは、その部分の強度が弱く相手シューから来る荷重を支えきれず、剥離するという問題は根本的に防止できない。
したがって、本発明は、高速・高負荷であり、潤滑がオイル無〜有の範囲で変動する摺動条件において、摺動特性が向上し、特に大きな剥離摩耗を低減し、徐々に小さな摩耗が生じ、なじみ性の優れる表面を形成することができる摺動材料を提供することを目的とする。
以下の説明では主としてPTFEをフッ素樹脂の代表例として説明する。
一方、摺動初期の冷媒のみで潤滑されるような油が乏しい潤滑状態ではPTFE粒子の形状に関係なく、シューとの摺動において低摩擦効果を発揮する。すなわち、摺動初期PTFE粒子の表面が数原子層の極薄い表面でへき界が起こり、これは極めて弱い外力でも十分に低摩擦性が実現される。
配合組成すべて PAI:60vol%、PTFE:20vol%、Gr:20vol%ですべて行った。
試験条件
試験機:3ピン/ディスクタイプ焼付試験機
荷重:1.2kN
回転数:1000rpm
潤滑条件:R134aガス
相手軸:SUJ2(シュー形状)
図2から分かるように、PTFEを扁平にしていくと焼付き時間は上昇するが、0.2付近で焼付き時間は減少する。これは扁平化によりPTFE強度が減少し過ぎることによる。
この結果から、本発明においては、PTFE粒子の平均アスペクト比を1.5〜10の範囲に限定した。また好ましい平均アスペクト比は2〜5である。平均アスペクト比は、1mm×20μmの範囲内に存在する粒子について各PTFEの長径/短径比を測定し、その平均値を算出した比率である。
この態様の摺動材料の模式的組織を図3に示す。
各成分は次のとおりである。
PTFE:喜多村社製、KTL-8N
PAI:日立化成社製、HPC-6000
MoS2: 平均粒径25μm;住鉱潤滑剤社製品、モリパウダーPB
黒鉛: 平均粒径1μm;日本黒鉛社製品、CSSP
試験機:3ピン/ディスクタイプ焼付試験機
荷重:1.2kN (4MPa)
回転数:1000rpm(4.2m/s)
潤滑条件:R134aガス
相手軸:SUJ2(シュー形状)
試験の結果を次の表に示す。

Claims (8)
- 粒子の長径/短径比で定まる平均アスペクト比で1.5〜10の扁平比をもつ、扁平化されたフッ素樹脂粒子とバインダー樹脂とからなる摺動材料。
- 前記フッ素樹脂粒子は、ポリテトラフルオロエチレン(PTFE)、パーフルオロエチレン・プロペンコポリマー(FEP)、テトラフルオロエチレン・パーフルオロアルキルビニルエーテル共重合樹脂、エチレン・テトラフルオロエチレンコポリマー(ETFE)、ポリビニリデンフルオロライド(PVdF)及びエチレン・クロロトリフルオロエチレンコポリマー(ECTFE)からなる群から選択された少なくとも1種である請求項1記載の摺動材料。
- 前記フッ素樹脂粒子は平均粒径が2〜20μmの焼成フッ素樹脂を扁平化したものである請求項1又は2記載の摺動材料。
- 前記バインダー樹脂はポリアミドイミド及びポリイミドから選択された少なくとも1種である請求項1から3までの何れか1項記載の摺動材料。
- 前記フッ素樹脂粒子が5〜40vol%であり、残部がバインダー樹脂である請求項4記載の摺動材料。
- MoS2及び黒鉛からなる群から選択された少なくとも1種の固体潤滑剤を2〜40vol%含有することを特徴とする請求項5記載の摺動材料。
- SiO2, TiO2, SiC及び Al2O3からなる群から選択された少なくとも1種の耐摩耗添加剤を含有することを特徴とする請求項5又は6記載の摺動材料。
- 斜板式コンプレッサーの斜板摺動部に被着された請求項1から7までの何れか1項記載の摺動材料。
