Description
上記実施例1乃至3に対し、全ての記録層の記録膜の記録反応の温度、及び、全ての記録層の、非積層状態での記録波長のレーザ光に対する吸収率が同一である多層光記録媒体を作製した。
上記実施例1に対し、記録層の積層の順番を逆にした多層光記録媒体を作製した。本比較例での、各記録層における記録膜の記録反応の温度T0、T1、T2の関係は、T0>T1>T2となる。本比較例における最適記録パワーは、L1層:10.0mW、L2層:4.3mWであった。L0層は測定機の上限である16.0mWで記録しても十分な特性が得られなかったため、16mWより大きい値であると考えられる。
上記実施例2に対し、記録層の積層の順番を逆にした多層光記録媒体を作製した本比較例での、各記録層の非積層状態における記録波長のレーザ光に対する吸収率A0、A1、A2、A3の関係は、A0 <A1 <A2 <A3となる。本比較例における最適記録パワーは、L1層:15.0mW、L2層:10.1mW、L3層:5.5mWであった。L0層は測定機の上限である16.0mWで記録しても十分な特性が得られなかったため、16mWより大きい値であると考えられる。

Claims (3)
- レーザ光の入射面から最も遠い側から、前記レーザ光の入射面に最も近い側に向かって、L0層、L1層、・・・、Ln−1層の3層以上の記録層及び各記録層間に厚さ5μm以上のスペーサ層を有し、それぞれの記録層にレーザ光が照射され、記録マークが形成されることにより情報が記録される多層光記録媒体であって、
それぞれの記録層における記録膜の記録反応の温度T0、T1、・・・、Tn−1が、T0≦T1≦・・・≦Tn―1かつT0<Tn−1であることを特徴とする多層光記録媒体。 - 請求項1において、
前記L0層を除くそれぞれの記録層における記録膜の、前記レーザ光における消衰係数が0.5以下であることを特徴とする多層光記録媒体。 - 請求項1又は2において、
それぞれの記録層に対するレーザ光の最適記録パワーP0、P1、・・・、Pn−1のうち、最大値と最小値の差が前記最大値の20%以内であることを特徴とする多層光記録媒体。
