Claims (5)
- 回路であって、
供給ノード及び出力ノードを有し、かつ該出力ノードにおいて供給される電流量を第一所定量に制限する第一電流制限スイッチ(190)と、
前記第一電流制限スイッチ(190)の前記出力ノードに接続された第一出力ポート(106)と、
供給ノード及び出力ノードを有し、かつ該出力ノードにおいて供給される電流量を第二所定量に制限する第二電流制限スイッチ(195)と、
前記第二電流制限スイッチ(195)の前記出力ノードに接続された第二出力ポート(107)と、
第一入力ポート(110)と、
センサ(160)であって、
前記第一入力ポート(110)に接続された入力と、
前記入力において入力された電流量の指標を提供する出力と、を含むセンサ(160)と、
電流リミッター(150,170)であって、
前記センサ(160)の前記出力に接続された電流入力と、
制御を受けるための制御入力と、
前記制御入力における信号が有効な時に、前記電流入力において入力された電流をグランドへ供給する第一電流出力ノードと、
前記制御入力における前記信号が無効な時に、前記電流入力において入力された電流を前記第一電流制限スイッチ(190)の前記供給ノードと前記第二電流制限スイッチ(195)の前記供給ノードのうちの少なくとも一つへ供給する第二電流出力ノードと、を含む電流リミッター(150,170)と、
を備える回路。 - 請求項1に記載の回路であって、
前記電流リミッター(150,170)は、
前記制御入力に接続されたコントローラ(150)であって、
前記センサ(160)に接続され、かつ前記センサ(160)によって提供された前記指標を受け入れるための入力と、
コントローラ(150)の前記入力に接続された入力、及び前記電流リミッター(150,170)の前記制御入力に接続された出力を有し、かつ前記指標に基づいて前記信号を有効及び無効にする論理と、を含むコントローラ(150)と、
トランジスタ(170)であって、
前記電流リミッター(150,170)の前記第一電流出力ノードに接続された第一電流電極と、
前記電流リミッター(150,170)の前記第二電流出力ノードに接続された第二電流電極と、
前記論理の前記出力に接続された制御ノードと、を含むトランジスタ(170)と、
をさらに含む、回路。 - 回路であって、
複数の発光ダイオード(LED)(LED1,LED2,LED3)に接続された複数の第一コンタクト(208,210,212)と、
前記複数の第一コンタクト(208,210,212)のうちの特定のコンタクトに電流を選択的に供給する複数のスイッチ(HS1,HS2,HS3)と、
前記複数のスイッチ(HS1,HS2,HS3)のうちの一つ若しくは複数のスイッチを選択的にオンにして、特定のLEDに電流を供給するスイッチ・コントローラ(240)と、
前記複数のLED(LED1,LED2,LED3)に直列に接続されたインダクタ(L1)に接続された第二コンタクト(216)と、
前記第二コンタクト(216)と基準電圧ノード(218)との間に直列に接続された電流スイッチ(MLD0)と、
前記第二コンタクト(216)を流れる電流量が所望の範囲内に収まるか否かに基づいて、前記電流スイッチ(MLD0)の状態を変化させ、前記第二コンタクト(216)を流れる電流が前記複数のスイッチ(HS1,HS2,HS3)のうち、少なくとも一つへ流れるように、または基準電圧ノード(218)を介してグランドへ流れるようにする電流スイッチ・コントローラ(250)と、
を備える回路。 - 回路であって、
電源の第一サイドに接続された第一ポート(202,204,206)と、
前記電源の第二サイドに接続された第二ポート(218)と、
発光ダイオード(LED)アレイに接続された第三ポート(208,210,212)と、
インダクタ(L1)に接続された第四ポート(216)と、
第一トランジスタ(MLD0)であって、
第一電流電極と、
前記第二ポート(218)に接続された第二電流電極と、
制御ノードと、を含む第一トランジスタ(MLD0)と、
前記第四ポート(216)に接続された第一端部と、前記第一トランジスタ(MLD0)の前記第一電流電極に接続された第二端部と、を有する抵抗(R SENSE )と、
第二トランジスタ(HS1,HS2,HS3)であって、
前記第三ポート(208,210,212)に接続された第一電流電極と、
前記第一ポート(202,204,206)に接続された第二電流電極と、
制御ノードと、を含む第二トランジスタ(HS1,HS2,HS3)と、
前記第一ポート(202,204,206)と、前記抵抗(R SENSE )の前記第二端部との間に直列に接続された再循環器(260)と、
第一コントローラ(250)であって、
前記抵抗(R SENSE )に亘る電圧降下を測定するために前記抵抗(R SENSE )の両端に接続された微分増幅器(252)と、
前記電圧降下に基づいて、制御信号を生成する論理(254)と、
前記論理(254)、及び前記第一トランジスタ(MLD0)の前記制御ノードに接続された出力と、
前記論理(254)に接続された入力と、を含む第一コントローラ(250)と、
第二コントローラ(240)であって、
前記第一ポート(202,204,206)に接続された入力と、
前記第一ポート(202,204,206)に電圧が存在する時を判断するための、前記入力に接続された論理と、
前記論理、及び前記第二トランジスタ(HS1,HS2,HS3)の前記制御ノードに接続された第一出力と、
前記論理、及び前記第一コントローラ(250)の前記入力のポートに接続された第二出力ポートと、を含む第二コントローラ(240)と、
を備え、
前記第一トランジスタ(MLD0)は、前記制御信号に応答して、前記抵抗(R SENSE )を流れる電流が再循環器(260)を介して前記第二トランジスタ(HS1,HS2,HS3)へ流れるように、または第二ポート(218)を介してグランドへ流れるように動作する、回路。 - 方法であって、
複数のLEDアレイのうちの選択されたLEDアレイに電流を供給すること(510)と、
前記選択されたLEDアレイに供給された電流を統合電流として統合することと、
前記統合電流をインダクタに通過させること(520)と、
前記インダクタを通過した電流量を測定することと、
前記インダクタを通過した電流量が上限値よりも大きく測定された時は、電流スイッチをオフにすること(540)と、
前記電流スイッチがオフの時は、前記インダクタ電流を、前記選択されたLEDアレイに移送すること(540)と、
前記インダクタを通過した電流量が下限値よりも小さく測定された時は、前記電流スイッチをオンにすること(560)と、
前記電流スイッチがオンの時は、前記インダクタ電流をグランドまで通過させること(560)と、
を含む方法。
