前記搬送コンベヤ39にて供給される板状物品13を物品搬出入部5にて1つずつ物品保持体14に保持させるときには、左右一対の昇降支持体30にて物品保持体14を搬送体31に入り込ませた状態で載置支持しておく。その後、搬送体31が1つの板状物品13を物品保持体14にて保持可能な位置まで搬送して、左右一対の昇降支持体30にて物品保持体14を上昇させることにより、1つの板状物品13を物品保持体14に保持させる。このような動作を繰り返すことによって、搬送コンベヤ39から供給される板状物品13を1つずつ物品保持体14に上下方向に並べる状態で順次保持させる。
