Claims (6)
- 吸気カムおよび排気カムの少なくとも一方のクランクシャフトに対する位相であるカム位相を制御する内燃機関のカム位相制御装置であって、
前記カム位相を進角させる方向に作用する第1の力と、遅角させる方向に作用する第2の力との間の大小関係を変更することにより、前記カム位相を変更するとともに、当該第1および第2の力を互いに釣り合った関係に保持することにより、前記カム位相を保持する可変カム位相機構と、
前記内燃機関の機関回転数を検出する機関回転数検出手段と、
前記カム位相を検出するカム位相検出手段と、
前記カム位相制御の目標となる目標カム位相を設定する目標カム位相設定手段と、
前記検出されたカム位相を前記目標カム位相に追従させるための制御値を、所定の制御アルゴリズムにより算出する制御値算出手段と、
当該算出された制御値を前記検出された機関回転数に応じて補正することにより、前記可変カム位相機構を制御するための制御入力を算出する制御入力算出手段と、
を備えることを特徴とする内燃機関のカム位相制御装置。 - 前記制御値算出手段の前記所定の制御アルゴリズムでは、所定の追従制御アルゴリズムにより、前記検出されたカム位相を前記目標カム位相に追従させるための追従制御値が算出されるとともに、当該算出された追従制御値を、Δ変調アルゴリズム、ΔΣ変調アルゴリズムおよびΣΔ変調アルゴリズムのうちの1つに基づくアルゴリズムで変調することにより、前記制御値が算出されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の内燃機関のカム位相制御装置。
- 前記制御入力算出手段は、前記制御値を補正するための補正値を、前記機関回転数に応じて算出し、
前記制御値算出手段の前記所定の追従制御アルゴリズムは、前記追従制御値と前記補正値と前記カム位相との関係を定義した制御対象モデルに基づくアルゴリズムであり、
前記制御対象モデルのモデルパラメータを、前記追従制御値、前記補正値および前記カム位相に応じて、所定の同定アルゴリズムにより同定する同定手段をさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の内燃機関のカム位相制御装置。 - 前記制御値算出手段の前記所定の制御アルゴリズムは、所定の応答指定型制御アルゴリズムを含むことを特徴とする請求項1ないし3のいずれかに記載の内燃機関のカム位相制御装置。
- 前記制御値算出手段の前記所定の制御アルゴリズムは、所定の2自由度制御アルゴリズムを含むことを特徴とする請求項1ないし3のいずれかに記載の内燃機関のカム位相制御装置。
- 前記制御入力算出手段は、前記制御値を補正するための補正値を、前記機関回転数に応じて算出し、
前記可変カム位相機構が受ける外乱を補償するための外乱推定値を、前記補正値に応じて、所定の推定アルゴリズムにより算出する外乱推定値算出手段をさらに備え、
前記制御値算出手段は、前記算出された外乱推定値にさらに応じて、前記制御値を算出することを特徴とする請求項1ないし5のいずれかに記載の内燃機関のカム位相制御装置。
