Description
前記転がり軸受は、磁気ディスク装置、光磁気ディスク装置、又は光ディスク装置のスイングアーム用軸受装置に使用することができる。前記転動体は球状またはローラー状であることが好ましい。前記撥油処理はフッ素系の改質膜によって行っても良い。前記撥油剤はシリコン油またはフッ素系の撥水撥油剤であるのが好ましい。
この場合、撥油処理が施された撥油処理層と潤滑剤との接触角は2゜以上であって90゜未満にすることが、軸受すきま内の潤滑剤を充分にするために好ましい。前記接触角が2゜より小さい場合は潤滑剤が撥油処理層を広まって軸受すきま内の潤滑剤が少なくなり、また接触角が90゜以上の場合は軸受すきま内に潤滑剤が入りにくくなる。なお、前記接触角は10゜以上の場合が軸受すきま内の潤滑剤をより充分にするために好ましい。このように前記接触角が2゜以上、より好ましくは10゜以上であって90゜未満に潤滑剤及び撥油剤をそれぞれ選ぶことが好ましい。
潤滑剤として油を用いると、油は玉1と軌道2との接触部での長期保持性が高まるとともに、トルク変動が少ないので好ましい。
潤滑剤として合成油、鉱物油を使用する場合は、フッ素系の改質膜等を使用して撥油処理を施すのがよい。
また、潤滑剤としてフッ素油を使用する場合は、撥油剤としてシリコン油やフッ素系の撥水撥油剤(例えば日本メクトロン株式会社製のノックスガードSTー420など)等を使用するのがよい。
それに比べて本発明は、転がり軸受又は、各部品単体を撥油剤を希釈した溶剤に浸けるだけで処理できるため、加工コストが安くなる。
本発明は、保持器付きころ軸受、総玉軸受、総ころ軸受にも適用できる。また、外側部材をハウジングとしてハウジングの内周面に軌道2を設けても良く、内側部材を軸として軸の外周面に軌道2を設けても良い。さらに、軌道2は単列でも複列でも良い。

Claims (3)
- 転動体表面、外側部材の軌道及び内側部材の軌道のすきまに潤滑剤を保持する方法であって前記潤滑剤として合成油あるいは鉱物油を用い、前記転動体表面、前記外側部材の軌道及び前記内側部材の軌道にフッ素系の改質膜を用いて撥油処理を施すことにより、前記潤滑剤が表面張力により転動体と軌道との間に集まるようにしたことを特徴とする潤滑剤の保持方法。
- 前記撥油処理が施された撥油処理層と前記潤滑剤との接触角が2°以上で90°未満であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の潤滑剤の保持方法。
- 前記接触角が、10゜以上90゜未満であることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の潤滑剤の保持方法。
