Description
ト自体の重量からスプリングによる付勢力を差し引いた荷重)によって降下するが、燃料タンク200内の圧力とキャニスター300側の連絡管400との圧力差が大きく、燃料タンク200内の圧力が高い場合には、弁体部106に作用する上方への力が、フロート105の自重を上回り、開弁されずに弁口102に張り付く問題があった。このような弁体部106の弁口102に対する張り付き力は、弁体部106の受圧面積に比例して大きくなる。
フロートの上面に設けられ前記第1の弁口を閉口する第1の弁体部と、前記第1の弁体部が貫通する開口部を有し、該開口部に前記第1の弁体部を貫通させた状態で前記フロートの上面に被せられるサブフロートと、前記サブフロートの上面に形成され前記第2の弁口を閉口する第2の弁体部と、を備えたフロートバルブにおいて、前記第2の弁体部は前記第2の弁口を貫通して上方に突設される軸部を有し、前記軸部に嵌合するリテーナ部が前記ケースの上面側に取り付けられ、前記リテーナ部に、前記サブフロートからの荷重が前記フロートに加わらないように前記サブフロートを上方に付勢するばねが配置されることを特徴とする。
を効率良く排出するとともに、弁体部の弁口への貼り付き現象を防止して、液面降下時には確実に開弁して、開閉弁特性を安定させ、更には、車両の揺れ、傾斜、転倒等により燃料の液面水位が急激に上昇した場合でもフロートの応答性を向上させて燃料の漏出が発生する恐れがない信頼性の高いフロートバルブを提供することができる。
6及び第2の弁体部22の安定した開閉弁特性を保持しつつ、フロート15及びサブフロート22の重量を小さくすることが可能となり、燃料の液面が急激に上昇するような場合でも、フロート15及びサブフロート21の応答性が向上して、各弁口を確実に閉弁して燃料の漏出を防止することが可能となる。

Claims (2)
- 内部に空間が形成されたケースと、
前記ケースの側面又は底面に形成され前記ケース外内を連通する連通孔と、
前記ケースの上面に形成される第1の弁口と、
前記ケースの上面に形成され前記第1の弁口より大径である第2の弁口と、
前記ケース内に移動自在に収納されるフロートと、
前記フロートの上面に設けられ前記第1の弁口を閉口する第1の弁体部と、
前記第1の弁体部が貫通する開口部を有し、該開口部に前記第1の弁体部を貫通させた状態で前記フロートの上面に被せられるサブフロートと、
前記サブフロートの上面に形成され前記第2の弁口を閉口する第2の弁体部と、
を備えたフロートバルブにおいて、
前記第2の弁体部は前記第2の弁口を貫通して上方に突設される軸部を有し、
前記軸部に嵌合するリテーナ部が前記ケースの上面側に取り付けられ、
前記リテーナ部に、前記サブフロートからの荷重が前記フロートに加わらないように前記サブフロートを上方に付勢するばねが配置されることを特徴とするフロートバルブ。 - 燃料の液面の上昇に伴って前記フロート及びサブフロートが上昇する過程において、前記第2の弁口を流れる燃料ガスの通路抵抗によって生じる、前記第2の弁体部を吸い上げる吸い上げ力を利用して、第1の弁口よりも第2の弁口を先に閉弁させるように設定されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のフロートバルブ。
