Description
1.青色を発光する発光素子と、発光素子の青色の発光を受けて、緑色を発光する蛍光体及び赤色を発光する蛍光体を用いた白色発光素子
2.紫外線を発光する発光素子と、発光素子の紫外線の発光を受けて、青色を発光する蛍光体、緑色を発光する蛍光体及び赤色を発光する蛍光体を用いた白色発光素子の開発が進められている。
1.波長370〜410nmに発光ピークを持つ紫外線発光素子、紫外線発光素子の発光する紫外線を受けて青色を発光する青色発光蛍光体、緑色を発光する緑色発光蛍光体、及び、赤色を発光する、一般式Sr(La1-x,Eux)6W10O40(0.2≦x≦1)で表される赤色発光蛍光体とからなることを特徴とする白色発光素子。
2.波長が455〜470nmに発光ピークを持つ青色発光素子、青色発光素子の青色の発光を受けて緑色を発光する緑色発光蛍光体及び赤色を発光する、一般式Sr(La1-x,Eux)6W10O40(0.2≦x≦1)で表される赤色発光蛍光体とからなることを特徴とする白色発光素子。
3.波長が455〜470nmに発光ピークを持つ青色発光素子、青色発光素子の青色の発光を受けて青色の補色である黄色を発光する黄色発光蛍光体及び赤色を発光する、一般式Sr(La1-x,Eux)6W10O40(0.2≦x≦1)で表される赤色発光蛍光体とからなることを特徴とする白色発光素子である。
一般式Sr(La1-x,Eux)6W10O40(0.2≦x≦1)で表される赤色発光蛍光体の製造方法を説明する。
<実施例2〜10、比較例2>
Sr(La0.3,Eu0.7)6W10O40の場合を例に、実施例2〜10、比較例2の赤色発光蛍光体の製造方法を説明する。原料は、SrCO3、La2O3、Eu2O3及びWO3の粉末を用いた。
比較例のY2O2S:Eu3+は、市販されているブラウン管用の蛍光体を用いた。
1.発光スペクトルの測定は、励起源として発光ピーク波長395nmの紫外線発光ダイオードを用い浜松フォトニクス社製のPMA−11型分光器を用いて測定した。
2.励起スペクトルは、島津製作所社製のRF−5300PC型の蛍光分光光度計を用い375〜550nmの波長の光(励起光)を試料に照射し、615nmの発光を測定し、励起光の波長に対応する発光の強度をプロットして得られたスペクトルである。
1.0.2≦x≦1.0の範囲であれば、赤色の明度が比較例よりも高くなり、0.4≦x≦1.0の範囲であれば、発光ピーク強度が比較例よりも大きくなる。
2.0.6≦x≦0.9の範囲であれば、発光ピーク強度、XYZ表色系における三刺激値のYの値がほとんど変わらないことから、製造時の工程バラツキ等により組成が若干変動して発光ピーク強度、XYZ表色系における三刺激値のYの値がほとんど変わらないために、同じ特性の蛍光体を製造しやすいという効果がある。
<実施例11>
次に、紫外線発光素子の発する紫外線を受けて、赤色を発光する赤色発光蛍光体、青色を発光する青色発光蛍光体、及び、緑色を発光する緑色発光蛍光体を組み合わせた白色発光素子について説明する。
次に、青色発光素子の発する青色を受けて、赤色を発光する赤色発光蛍光体、及び、緑色を発光する緑色発光蛍光体を組み合わせた白色発光素子について説明する。
更に、本発明の青色発光素子の発する青色を受けて、青色の補色である黄色を発光する黄色発光蛍光体、及び、赤色を発光する赤色発光蛍光体を組み合わせた白色発光素子について説明する。
比較例2及び3の3波長型の白色発光ダイオードは、赤色発光蛍光体を、Y2O2S:Eu3+に変えた以外は実施例11及び12と同様に製造した。
Claims (7)
- ストロンチウム(Sr)、ランタン(La)、ユーロピウム(Eu)、タングステン(W)、酸素(O)からなり、一般式Sr(La1-x,Eux)6W10O40(0.2≦x≦1)で表されることを特徴とする赤色発光蛍光体。
- 波長が370〜410nmの紫外線を受けて赤色を発光することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の赤色発光蛍光体。
- 455〜470nmの青色の波長を受けて赤色を発光することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の赤色発光蛍光体。
- 520〜550nmの緑色の波長を受けて赤色を発光することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の赤色発光蛍光体。
- 紫外線を発光する紫外線発光素子と、前記紫外線発光素子の発光する紫外線を受け、赤色を発光する赤色発光蛍光体、緑色を発光する緑色発光蛍光体及び青色を発光する青色発光蛍光体とからなる白色発光素子であって、
前記紫外線が波長370〜410nmに発光ピークを持つ紫外線であり、
前記赤色を発光する赤色発光蛍光体が、一般式Sr(La 1-x ,Eu x ) 6 W 10 O 40 (0.2≦x≦1)で表される赤色発光蛍光体であることを特徴とする白色発光素子。 - 青色を発光する青色発光素子と、前記青色発光素子の発光する青色を受け、赤色を発光する赤色発光蛍光体及び緑色を発光する緑色発光蛍光体とからなる白色発光素子であって、
前記青色が、455〜470nmに発光ピークを持つ青色であり、
