Description
複数のレーザ光源から照射されたレーザビームで主走査方向の複数の走査ラインを同時に走査して書き込みを行うレーザユニットを複数使用してカラー画像を形成する画像形成装置において、
前記複数のレーザ光源をクロックで同期させて、前記複数のレーザ光源のうち基準となるレーザ光源から照射されるレーザビームの書き出し位置に他のレーザ光源から照射されるレーザビームの書き出し位置を合わせるように前記複数のレーザユニットをそれぞれ制御する制御手段を備え、
前記制御手段は、予め測定された前記各レーザユニットにおける複数のレーザビームのずれ量に基づいて、前記レーザユニット毎に前記基準となるレーザ光源を予め選択することを特徴としている。

Claims (4)
- 複数のレーザ光源から照射されたレーザビームで主走査方向の複数の走査ラインを同時に走査して書き込みを行うレーザユニットを複数使用してカラー画像を形成する画像形成装置において、
前記複数のレーザ光源をクロックで同期させて、前記複数のレーザ光源のうち基準となるレーザ光源から照射されるレーザビームの書き出し位置に他のレーザ光源から照射されるレーザビームの書き出し位置を合わせるように前記複数のレーザユニットをそれぞれ制御する制御手段を備え、
前記制御手段は、予め測定された前記各レーザユニットにおける複数のレーザビームのずれ量に基づいて、前記レーザユニット毎に前記基準となるレーザ光源を予め選択することを特徴とする画像形成装置。 - 前記レーザユニットは、複数のレーザビームが主走査方向に画素単位でずれた位置を照射するように傾斜配置された前記複数のレーザ光源を備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の画像形成装置。
- 前記レーザユニットは、複数のレーザビームが主走査方向で同一の位置を照射するように垂直配置された前記複数のレーザ光源を備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の画像形成装置。
- 前記制御手段は、予め測定された前記各レーザユニットにおける複数のレーザビームのずれ量に基づいて、前記各レーザユニットにおけるずれ量の正負がカラー画像の色ずれ調整の基準となる特定のレーザユニットにおけるずれ量の正負と同じ場合には、前記特定のレーザユニットにおける基準となるレーザ光源と同じレーザ光源を前記基準となるレーザ光源として予め選択し、前記レーザユニットにおけるずれ量の正負が前記複数のレーザユニットから選ばれた特定のレーザユニットにおけるずれ量の正負と異なる場合には、前記特定のレーザユニットにおける基準となるレーザ光源とは異なるレーザ光源を前記基準となるレーザ光源として予め選択することを特徴とする請求項1から請求項3のいずれか一項に記載の画像形成装置。
