Claims (2)
- 安全装置を活動化するための方法であって、
車両に設けられた第1衝突センサが加速度センサであり、この第1衝突センサにより、車両の1つの運動方向における車両の加速度が検知され、対応する加速度信号が提供され、
車両に設けられた第2衝突センサが第1衝突センサとは離れて配設されている加速度センサであり、この第2衝突センサにより、車両の前記の運動方向と同じ運動方向における車両の加速度が検知され、対応する加速度信号が提供される、
前記方法において、
車両に処理装置が設けられていて、この処理装置を用い、
それらの両方の加速度信号のうちの1つがそのトリガ閾値を超過すると、それらの両方の加速度信号を用いてそれらの両方の衝突センサの反応時間及び応答特性を考慮のもと各々の経過曲線が得られ、
各々の経過曲線が車両の安全装置の活動化を決定するこれらに付属の各々の境界を同時に超過する場合にだけ車両の安全装置が活動化され、
各々の経過曲線を用いた各々の前記境界との比較の際、両方の加速度信号のうちの前記の1つがそのトリガ閾値を下回る場合にはこの比較が停止されることを特徴とする方法。 - 第1衝突センサ及び第2衝突センサにより車両のサイドクラッシュが検知されること、及び、この車両のサイドクラッシュに縦クラッシュが先行する場合には車両の安全装置の活動化を決定する境界がより高い値へと変更されることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
