Claims (10)
- 第1基板と第2基板の間に液晶層が形成された液晶パネルと、
前記液晶パネルの両面にそれぞれ付着した第1偏光板及び第2偏光板と、
前記液晶パネルの前面部に付着した第1フロントライトユニットと、
前記液晶パネルの後面部に付着した第2フロントライトユニットと、
前記第1偏光板と前記第1フロントライトユニットの間又は前記第2偏光板と前記第2フロントライトユニットの間の中で、少なくともどちらか一方に用意された微細反射散乱フィルムと、
前記第1フロントライトユニット全面に付着した部分反射板とを含み、
前記第1偏光板と前記第1フロントライトユニットの間に用意された前記微細反射散乱フィルムは、前記液晶パネルの後面部から入射される周辺光を入射して、その入射された周辺光をまた前記液晶パネルの後面部方向で反射させ、
前記第1偏光板と前記第1フロントライトユニットの間に用意された前記微細反射散乱フィルムは、前記液晶パネルの後面部に表示される映像の明るさを向上させ、
前記第2偏光板と前記第2フロントライトユニットの間に用意された前記微細反射散乱フィルムは、前記液晶パネルの前面部から入射される周辺光を入射して、その入射された周辺光をまた前記液晶パネルの前面部方向で反射させ、
前記第2偏光板と前記第2フロントライトユニットの間に用意された前記微細反射散乱フィルムは、前記液晶パネルの前面部に表示される映像の明るさを向上させ、
前記部分反射板は、前記第2フロントライトユニットがオフ(OFF)状態である場合に、前記液晶パネルの前面部方向に対して鏡機能を遂行することを特徴とするデュアルライトユニットを利用した液晶表示装置。 - 前記液晶パネルはTNモード、IPSモード、VAモードの中でから選択される一モードで駆動することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のデュアルライトユニットを利用した液晶表示装置。
- 前記第1偏光板及び第2偏光板はその光軸がお互いに90度を成すように前記液晶パネルの両面に付着したことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のデュアルライトユニットを利用した液晶表示装置。
- 前記第1フロントライトユニットの駆動によって前記液晶パネルの後面部に映像が表示されて、前記第2フロントライトユニットの駆動によって前記液晶パネルの全面部に映像が表示されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のデュアルライトユニットを利用した液晶表示装置。
- 前記第1偏光板と前記第1フロントライトユニットの間に用意された前記微細反射散乱フィルムは、前記第1フロントライトユニットから発光される光によって前記液晶パネルの後面部に映像が表示される際に、モアレ現象の発生を防止することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のデュアルライトユニットを利用した液晶表示装置。
- 前記第2偏光板と前記第2フロントライトユニットの間に用意された前記微細反射散乱フィルムは、前記第2フロントライトユニットから発光される光によって前記液晶パネルの前面部に映像が表示される際に、モアレ現象の発生を防止することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のデュアルライトユニットを利用した液晶表示装置。
- 前記部分反射板は、前記液晶パネルの前面部方向で入射される光に対して50〜90%の反射率を持つように形成されたことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のデュアルライトユニットを利用した液晶表示装置。
- 前記部分反射板はDBEF(Dual Brightness Enhancement Film)に形成されたことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のデュアルライトユニットを利用した液晶表示装置。
- 前記部分反射板は金属材質がコーティングされて形成されたことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のデュアルライトユニットを利用した液晶表示装置。
- 前記部分反射板は電圧印加によって反射率が変化されるように形成されたことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のデュアルライトユニットを利用した液晶表示装置。
