Claims (11)
- 液晶パネルと、
前記液晶パネルの両面にそれぞれ設けられた第1の偏光板および第2の偏光板と、
前記液晶パネルの前面部に取り付けられた第1のフロントライトユニットと、
前記第1のフロントライトユニットの前面に取り付けられた半透過板と、
前記液晶パネルの後面部に取り付けられた第2のフロントライトユニットと、
前記第1の偏光板と前記第1のフロントライトユニットとの間に設けられ、周辺の光の入射を受けて前記液晶パネルの後面部方向に進行させる反射型偏光板と、
前記第2の偏光板と前記第2のフロントライトユニットとの間に設けられた拡散シートと、
を備え、
前記半透過板は、電圧の印加によって反射率が変化するコレステリック液晶層とλ/4プレート半透過板であることを特徴とするデュアルライトユニットを有する液晶表示装置。 - 前記第1のフィルムは、偏光特性によって前記液晶パネルから反射される光を入射され、その入射された光を前記液晶パネル方向に再反射させるDBEFであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のデュアルライトユニットを有する液晶表示装置。
- 前記第1のフィルムは、周辺の外部光源を入射されて前記液晶パネル方向に進行させるUBFであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のデュアルライトユニットを有する液晶表示装置。
- 前記第1のフロントライトユニットと前記第1のフィルムとの間に散乱フィルムがさらに設けられることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のデュアルライトユニットを有する液晶表示装置。
- 前記半透過板は、前記第1のフロントライトユニットと前記第2のフロントライトユニットとがオフの状態である場合、前記液晶パネルの前面部において鏡機能として使用されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のデュアルライトユニットを有する液晶表示装置。
- 前記半透過板は、反射率が50〜90%程度であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のデュアルライトユニットを有する液晶表示装置。
- 前記半透過板は、DBEFで構成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のデュアルライトユニットを有する液晶表示装置。
- 前記半透過板は、金属物質のコーティングが施されて形成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のデュアルライトユニットを有する液晶表示装置。
- 前記第1のフロントライトユニットのLEDチップ数と前記第2のフロントライトユニットのLEDチップ数とは、同一であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のデュアルライトユニットを有する液晶表示装置。
- 前記第1のフロントライトユニットのLEDチップ数と前記第2のフロントライトユニットのLEDチップ数とは、異なることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のデュアルライトユニットを有する液晶表示装置。
- 前記第1のフロントライトユニットの駆動により前記液晶パネルの後面部に映像が表示され、前記第2のフロントライトユニットの駆動により前記液晶パネルの前面部に映像が表示されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のデュアルライトユニットを有する液晶表示装置。
