Claims (10)
- 焦点領域に電磁波を向け集光するための光学素子と、
前記電磁波の電界に実質的に平行な長手方向軸線を有し、該長手方向軸線を通るように配置されると共に、記録媒体と前記光学素子との間に位置する金属ナノ構造体と、
を備え、
前記焦点領域は前記長手方向軸線上であって前記光学素子の底部平面上に位置し、前記焦点領域上に集光された前記電磁波が前記金属ナノ構造体にエバネッセント結合して金属ナノ構造体上に表面プラズモンを発生させ、該表面プラズモンが前記記憶媒体の表面に向かって進行し、
前記ナノ構造体は、前記光学素子の端部からギャップによって離間している光トランスジューサ。 - 前記光学素子が第1の屈折率を有し、前記金属ナノ構造体が前記第1の屈折率よりも小さい第2の屈折率を有する材料によって囲まれている、請求項1記載の光トランスジューサ。
- 前記ギャップの長さは、50nm未満である、請求項1記載の光トランスジューサ。
- 前記ナノ構造体が2:1以上のアスペクト比を有する金属ピンを含む、請求項1記載の光トランスジューサ。
- 前記ナノ構造体が尖った先端を有するピンを含む、請求項1記載の光トランスジューサ。
- 前記ナノ構造体が記録媒体内にエネルギーを共振結合できるような大きさとなっている、請求項1記載の光トランスジューサ。
- 前記光学素子が固体浸漬レンズ、固体浸漬ミラーまたはプレーナー光波ガイドのうちの1つを含む、請求項1記載の光トランスジューサ。
- 前記電磁波が径方向に偏光された光、または直線状に偏光された分割光の1つを含む、請求項1記載の光トランスジューサ。
- 磁気書き込みポールと、
前記磁気書き込みポールに隣接する請求項1記載の光トランスジューサと、
を備えた磁気−光記録ヘッド。 - 記憶媒体を支持するための手段と、
請求項9記載の磁気−光記録ヘッドと、
前記記憶媒体に隣接するように前記磁気−光記録ヘッドを位置決めするための手段と、
を備えたディスクドライブ。
