Description
Claims (8)
- 排気浄化装置を排気系に備えた内燃機関において、
前記排気浄化装置の状態に基づいて、少なくとも上死点近傍で1回行われる予備燃焼と、
該予備燃焼が全て終了した後に燃焼が開始されるように燃料を上死点以降に噴射させることで行われる主トルクを発生させるための主燃焼とからなる燃焼モードへの切り替え要求を判定し、
前記燃焼モードへの切り替え要求時であってかつ前記燃焼モードでの燃焼が可能な運転条件での連続運転時間が所定時間以上になったときに、前記燃焼モードに切り替えることを特徴とする内燃機関の燃焼制御装置。 - 前記排気浄化装置における堆積物の量に基づいて前記燃焼モードへの切り替え要求を判定することを特徴とする請求項1記載の内燃機関の燃焼制御装置。
- 前記排気浄化装置が、リーン雰囲気で排気中のNOxをトラップするNOxトラップ触媒であって、
前記NOxトラップ触媒における硫黄堆積量に基づいて前記燃焼モードへの切り替え要求を判定し、
前記燃焼モードにおいて排気空燃比をストイキ以下のリッチ空燃比にし、かつ、排気温度を上昇させることで、前記NOxトラップ触媒の硫黄被毒状態を解除することを特徴とする請求項2記載の内燃機関の燃焼制御装置。 - 機関回転速度が所定速度以下で、かつ、機関負荷が上限値と下限値との間である領域内の運転条件を、前記燃焼モードでの燃焼が可能な運転条件とすることを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか1つに記載の内燃機関の燃焼制御装置。
- 前記主燃焼のための燃料噴射時における筒内温度が自己着火可能な温度を上回るように、前記予備燃焼のための燃料噴射量を制御することを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれか1つに記載の内燃機関の燃焼制御装置。
- 前記予備燃焼の燃焼開始時期と前記主燃焼の燃焼開始時期との間隔を、クランク角度で20°以上に制御することを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれか1つに記載の内燃機関の燃焼制御装置。
- 前記主燃焼の終了時期を、圧縮上死点からクランク角度で50°以降に制御することを特徴とする請求項1〜6のいずれか1つに記載の内燃機関の燃焼制御装置。
- 前記主燃焼のための燃料噴射時期を変えることで、排気温度を制御することを特徴とする請求項1〜7のいずれか1つに記載の内燃機関の燃焼制御装置。
