Description
一例をあげると横方向に連なる複数の長尺状空気室を有する合成樹脂製空気緩衝材の、該長尺状空気室を筒状に折り曲げると共に、その部分溶着部を折り曲げることにより、終局的には被梱包体全体を該空気室で覆う空気緩衝材(例えば、特許文献3参照)や、左右方向に連続した小胞という空気室が設けられ、空気が充填された際に該空気室の中間部分と両端部部との境目に段差が形成される巻き付け型の空気緩衝材(例えば、特許文献4参照)が提案され、前者においては被梱包物を当該緩衝材によってそっくり包み込み、後者においてはその段差部によって被梱包物の周辺を支えながら包みこんだり、場合によっては左右から挟持する方式の空気緩衝材が提案されている。
図1は本発明の一実施例に係る万能型空気緩衝材を形成するPE/PEクロス/PEからなる表裏2枚の合成樹脂フィルムの、空気を注入して緩衝材を形成する前の状態を示す平面図、図2は同実施例において空気を注入して万能型緩衝材を形成した後、被梱包体としての略長方形の平箱を左右から把持する状態を模式的に示す斜視図、図3は他の実施例における万能型空気緩衝材の、空気を注入して緩衝材を形成する前の状態を示す平面図、図4は同実施例において空気を注入して有底有蓋円筒状緩衝材を形成した後、ワイン容器を収納した状態を模式的に示す斜視図である。
また、本発明による万能型空気緩衝材はさらに、同一の素材、具体的にはPE/PEクロス/PE若しくはPP/PPクロス/PPからなるフィルムを2枚合せとして用いることにより、その任意箇所を自由に熱溶着ができるために、上記のような加工を可能としたものであり、また、同一の素材であるが故に補修などのメンテナンスが容易で、使用後はリサイクルして有効に活用することが期待されると共に、止むを得ず焼却処分する際においても有害物質の発生する惧れも無く、資源の有効利用は勿論のこと、環境保護の面においても充分な配慮がなされている。なお、本発明による上記万能空気緩衝材は、原料素材として同一の合成樹脂フィルムを用いることにより、紙や粉末等が用いられないため、保管や搬送途中での湿気に対しても十分に耐えることができる。

Claims (2)
- 梱包する被梱包体と搬送容器の内壁との間に介在して、衝撃などの外力から該被梱包体を保護するための空気緩衝材において、2枚合せにした同一の素材からなる方形の合成樹脂フィルムの、上下並びに左右の外枠の端部を形成する側縁部を熱溶着すると共に、該側縁部間において、その中間部を被梱包体の寸法形状に対応して任意に熱溶着することにより、複数に区切った辺縁部が設けられ、該辺縁部の側縁部近傍の任意箇所に被梱包体の寸法形状に対応して左右対称に少なくとも一対の切欠き部を設け、該切欠き部の切欠き残部及び前記側縁部の任意箇所を、梱包する被梱包体の寸法形状に合せて、それぞれ熱溶着すると共に、前記辺縁部には少なくとも1つの空気流通口を設けて相互に連通した複数の空気室を形成し、該空気室と被梱包体若しくは搬送容器内壁との接触面積を、任意に変更することを可能とし、且つ、該空気室の少なくとも一つに空気注入口を設け、該空気注入口より空気を注入して空気室全体を膨張させ、その内側を被梱包体に、その外側を搬送容器の内壁に圧接せしめることを特徴とする万能型空気緩衝材。
- 前記万能型空気緩衝材において、前記切欠き部の切欠き残部のいずれか一方を熱溶着し、上下の側縁部を熱溶着若しくは縫合することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の万能型空気緩衝材。
