Abstract
Description
本願は、2011年1月10日の英国特許出願第1100290.4号及び2011年10月25日の英国特許出願第1118369.6号について、米国特許法第119条(a)及び米国特許施行規則第1.55条に基づく優先権を主張するものであり、それらの内容の全てが参照により本明細書に組み込まれる。
本考案の実施形態による「超音波前窓システム」(Ultrasonic Windscreen System;UWS)の例示的な実施例は、窓、例えば車両の前窓及び/又は車両の側窓及び/又は後窓から、降水を除去する目的を有する。システムの一実施形態は可動部を有しておらず、良好な信頼性及び長寿命性を保証する。システムの一実施形態は、ソリッドステート技術を使用してデジタル制御され、ほぼシームレスな制御変数を提供する。車両に適用するとき、システムの一実施形態を標準的な車両前窓と共に使用することができる。
図1を参照すると、車両9は、圧電変換器1〜8が付着される前窓10を有する。変換器は、例えばジルコン酸チタン酸鉛(PZT)変換器である。具体的には、この実施例の変換器は、最大の周波数及び出力効率をもたらす容積及び寸法で設計される。
(変形例)
システムは、可視部又は可動部を有しておらず、人間又は動物の可聴レベルより高い周波数を使用する。したがって、システムは事実上完全に無音である。
Claims (23)
- 窓の表面から降水を取り除く方法であって、前記降水を超音波で蒸発させることを含む方法。
- 前記窓が車両の前窓又は車両の他の窓である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記窓がバイザである、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記窓が建築物の窓である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記窓に超音波縦波が照射される、請求項1、2、3、又は4に記載の方法。
- 前記窓に他のモードの波も照射される、請求項5に記載の方法。
- 前記超音波が、前記窓に付着された1つ又は複数の圧電変換器によって生成される、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記変換器又は各変換器がジルコン酸チタン酸鉛変換器である、請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記超音波が0.5〜5MHzの範囲の周波数を有する、請求項6、7、又は8に記載の方法。
- 前記超音波が2MHzプラスマイナス1MHzの範囲の周波数を有する、請求項6、7、又は8に記載の方法。
- 前記超音波が2MHzプラスマイナス0.5MHzの範囲の周波数を有する、請求項6、7、又は8に記載の方法。
- 前記降水が雨、霧雨、氷、又は雪である、請求項1〜11のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記窓の表面と前記降水の間の表面張力を超音波で低減することを含む、請求項1〜12のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- シートの表面から降水を取り除く装置であって、前記降水を超音波で蒸発させるように構成された手段を備える装置。
- 窓を備え、該窓が車両の前窓又は車両の他の窓である、請求項14に記載の装置。
- 窓を備え、該窓がバイザである、請求項14に記載の装置。
- 前記シートを備え、該シートが建築物用の窓又は建築物の窓である、請求項14に記載の装置。
- 前記窓に付着された1つ又は複数の圧電変換器を備える、請求項15、16、又は17に記載の装置。
- 前記変換器又は各変換器がジルコン酸チタン酸鉛変換器である、請求項18に記載の装置。
- 前記変換器又は各変換器が、0.5〜5MHzの範囲の周波数を有する超音波を生成するように構成される、請求項18又は19に記載の装置。
- 前記超音波が2MHzプラスマイナス1MHzの範囲の周波数を有する、請求項20に記載の装置。
- 前記超音波が2MHzプラスマイナス0.5MHzの範囲の周波数を有する、請求項20に記載の装置。
- 前記変換器又は各変換器に結合された、前記変換器を刺激して超音波を放出するための超音波信号発生器をさらに備える、請求項20〜22のいずれか一項に記載の装置。
