Abstract
Description
<1>多糖類およびサイズ剤を含む撥水撥油剤であって、
前記多糖類は、20質量%水溶液において50℃で60cps以下の粘度を示す、撥水撥油剤。
<2>前記多糖類は、澱粉である、上記<1>に記載の撥水撥油剤。
<3>前記澱粉は、疎水化変性澱粉である、上記<2>に記載の撥水撥油剤。
<4>前記疎水化変性澱粉は、アルケニルコハク酸エステル化澱粉である、上記<3>に記載の撥水撥油剤。
<5>前記サイズ剤は、アルキルケテンダイマーである、上記<1>~<4>のいずれかに記載の撥水撥油剤。
<6>50℃における粘度が300cps以下である、上記<1>~<5>のいずれかに記載の撥水撥油剤。
<7>前記撥水撥油剤における前記多糖類の含有量は、40質量%以下である、上記<1>~<6>のいずれかに記載の撥水撥油剤。
<8>前記撥水撥油剤における前記サイズ剤の含有量は、5質量%以下である、上記<1>~<7>のいずれかに記載の撥水撥油剤。
<9>前記撥水撥油剤における前記サイズ剤の含有量は、前記多糖類と前記サイズ剤の合計に対し、10質量%以下である、上記<1>~<8>のいずれかに記載の撥水撥油剤。
<10>さらに添加剤を含む、上記<1>~<9>のいずれかに記載の撥水撥油剤。
<11>紙の表面を処理するための、上記<1>~<10>のいずれかに記載の撥水撥油剤。
<12>上記<1>~<11>のいずれかに記載の撥水撥油剤から形成された撥水撥油層を紙の表面に有する、撥水撥油紙。
<13>前記撥水撥油層における前記撥水撥油剤の固形分量が、6.0g/m2以下である、上記<12>に記載の撥水撥油紙。
<14>上記<1>~<11>のいずれかに記載の撥水撥油剤で、紙を外添処理することにより処理することを含む、紙の処理方法。
本開示の撥水撥油剤は、多糖類およびサイズ剤を含む撥水撥油剤であって、前記多糖類は、20質量%水溶液において50℃で60cps以下の粘度を示す。
R1は、アルキル基またはアルケニル基
R2は、アルキル基またはアルケニル基]
で表される化合物であってよい。
本開示に係る撥水撥油剤は、外的処理剤(表面処理剤)あるいは内的処理剤として使用できる。撥水撥油剤で処理して得られる製品は、高い撥水性および/または撥油性を有する。そのため、撥水撥油剤は、撥水剤および/または撥油剤として利用される。さらに、撥水撥油剤は、防汚剤、耐油剤、耐油剤、汚れ脱離剤、剥離剤あるいは離型剤またはその成分として利用され得る。
本開示の撥水撥油剤は、紙を処理(例えば、表面処理)するために使用することができる。つまり、本開示の撥水撥油剤は、紙の表面を処理するための撥水撥油剤であってよい。本開示の撥水撥油剤を用いて紙を処理することにより、撥水撥油紙を得ることができる。
粘度は、B型粘度計を使用して測定した。粘度の測定は、回転数60rpmおよび温度50℃で実施し、ローターはNo.2を用いた。B型粘度計は、Blookfield社製デジタル粘度計を用いた。
市販のオリーブオイルを約0.1gたらした撥水撥油紙紙を70℃のオーブンに入れ、7分後に取り出し染込み具合を観察した。
裏側の染込みの程度により、以下のように評価数値を設定した。
5:0-5%
4:6-20%
3:21-50%
2:51-75%
1:76-100%
吸水度(Cobb値)は、JIS P 8140:1998に準じて測定した。
一面が平滑に仕上げられた固い台板の表面に、紙基材を置き、その表面に内径112.8mmの金属シリンダをクランプで固定した。その後、シリンダ内の水深が10mmとなるように水を注いだ。水と紙基材との接触が開始されてから1分間に吸収された水の重量を求めた。得られた数値を1平方メートル当たりの重量(gsm)に換算し、吸水度(Cobb値)を求めた。)
容器状に成形した紙の容器底部の透気度(透気抵抗度)を、株式会社安田精機製作所製の自動ガーレー式デンソーメーター(製品No.323-AUTO、通気孔径直径28.6±0.1mm)を用いてJISP8117(2009)に準拠して測定した。
所定量のオクテニルコハク酸変性澱粉-1を水に溶解し、オクテニルコハク酸変性澱粉の濃度が20質量%の水溶液を調製した。かかる水溶液の粘度を測定した。オクテニルコハク酸変性澱粉-2、およびオクテニルコハク酸変性澱粉-3についても、20質量%の水溶液を調製し、粘度を測定した。それら粘度の測定結果を表1に示す。
(原紙の作製)
木材パルプとして、LBKP(=広葉樹さらしクラフトパルプ)とNBKP(針葉樹さらしクラフトパルプ)の質量比率が、60質量%と40質量%で、かつ、パルプのろ水度が400ml(Canadian Standard Freeness)のパルプスラリーを調整し、このパルプスラリーに湿潤紙力剤を乾燥パルプに対して固形分濃度で0.5質量%添加して長網抄紙機により、紙密度が0.58g/cm3の坪量48g/m2の紙を外添処理(サイズプレス処理)の原紙として使用した。原紙の耐油性(実用油試験)は、1であった。原紙の吸水度(Cobb値)は65であった。原紙の透気度は250秒であった。
(オクテニルコハク酸変性澱粉の製造)
水400部入ったフラスコにトウモロコシ澱粉20部を強攪拌しながら25℃で少量ずつ添加した後、pHが4以下になるまで希塩酸を添加して撹拌した。
この水溶液を約70~90℃で水分率が7%以下になるまで乾燥した後、160℃で所定の粘度になるまで焙焼を行い低粘度のトウモロコシ澱粉を得た。
得られた低粘度トウモロコシ澱粉100部を水120部が入ったフラスコに撹拌しながら少量ずつ添加した後、2%水酸化ナトリウム水溶液でpHを中和した。
次いでpHを7.5~8.0に維持しながらオクテニルコハク酸無水物4部を添加し、約30~40℃で5時間反応した。
反応後、希硫酸で中和し、次いで300部の水で数回水洗した。
得られた固形物を乾燥後、細かく砕いてオクテニルコハク酸デンプンナトリウムを得た。前記160℃での焙焼時間を調整することにより、それぞれ異なる所望の粘度のオクテニルコハク酸デンプンナトリウム1~3を得た。
撥水撥油剤は、オクテニルコハク酸変性澱粉-1が20質量%およびアルキルケテンダイマーが0.5質量%となるように調整し、サイズプレス機で処理した後、ドラムドライヤーで乾燥し、撥水撥油紙(加工紙)を得た。撥水撥油剤の粘度は、80cpsであった。得られた撥水撥油紙のオクテニルコハク酸変性澱粉-1とアルキルケテンダイマーの合計の固形分の塗工量は3.2g/m2であった。得られた撥水撥油紙を試験紙として用い、耐油性試験(実用油試験)、吸水度(Cobb値)評価、および透気度の評価を行った。評価結果を表2に示す。ここで記載したサイズプレス処理(Mathis社製のサイズプレス機を使用)とは、ロールとロールの間に撥水撥油剤をため、任意のロールスピードとニップ圧で、ロール間の撥水撥油剤に原紙を通す、いわゆるポンド式2ロールサイズプレス処理のことである。
アルキルケテンダイマーが1.0質量%となるように調整した他は、実施例1と同様の処理を行った。得られた撥水撥油紙のオクテニルコハク酸変性澱粉-1とアルキルケテンダイマーの合計の固形分の塗工量は3.5g/m2であった。撥水撥油剤の粘度は、108cpsであった。評価結果を表2に示す。
オクテニルコハク酸変性澱粉-2を用いる他は、実施例1と同様の処理を行った。得られた撥水撥油紙のオクテニルコハク酸変性澱粉-2の固形分の塗工量は3.2g/m2であった。撥水撥油剤の粘度は、58cpsであった。評価結果を表2に示す。
オクテニルコハク酸変性澱粉-2を20質量%、およびアルキルケテンダイマーを1.0質量%となるように調整した他は、実施例1と同様の処理を行った。得られた撥水撥油紙のオクテニルコハク酸変性澱粉-2とアルキルケテンダイマーの合計の固形分の塗工量は3.4g/m2であった。撥水撥油剤の粘度は、91cpsであった。評価結果を表2に示す。
オクテニルコハク酸変性澱粉-3を用いた他は、実施例1と同様の処理を行った。撥水撥油剤の粘度は、390cpsであった。撥水撥油剤の粘度が大きかったため、撥水撥油剤で紙へ処理することができなかった。評価結果を表2に示す。
アルキルケテンダイマーを用いなかった他は、実施例1と同様の処理を行った。撥水撥油剤の粘度は、45cpsであった。得られた撥水撥油紙のオクテニルコハク酸変性澱粉-1の固形分の塗工量は3.2g/m2であった。撥水撥油剤の粘度は、45cpsであった。評価結果を表2に示す。

- 多糖類およびサイズ剤を含む撥水撥油剤であって、
前記多糖類は、20質量%水溶液において50℃で60cps以下の粘度を示す、撥水撥油剤。 - 前記多糖類は、澱粉である、請求項1に記載の撥水撥油剤。
- 前記澱粉は、疎水化変性澱粉である、請求項2に記載の撥水撥油剤。
- 前記疎水化変性澱粉は、アルケニルコハク酸エステル化澱粉である、請求項3に記載の撥水撥油剤。
- 前記サイズ剤は、アルキルケテンダイマーである、請求項1に記載の撥水撥油剤。
- 50℃における粘度が300cps以下である、請求項1に記載の撥水撥油剤。
- 前記撥水撥油剤における前記多糖類の含有量は、40質量%以下である、請求項1に記載の撥水撥油剤。
- 前記撥水撥油剤における前記サイズ剤の含有量は、5質量%以下である、請求項1に記載の撥水撥油剤。
- 前記撥水撥油剤における前記サイズ剤の含有量は、前記多糖類と前記サイズ剤の合計に対し、10質量%以下である、請求項1に記載の撥水撥油剤。
- さらに添加剤を含む、請求項1に記載の撥水撥油剤。
- 紙の表面を処理するための、請求項1に記載の撥水撥油剤。
- 請求項1に記載の撥水撥油剤から形成された撥水撥油層を紙の表面に有する、撥水撥油紙。
- 前記撥水撥油層における前記撥水撥油剤の固形分量が、6.0g/m2以下である、請求項12に記載の撥水撥油紙。
