Claims (6)
- サイドリップを有し、ハブベアリングの外輪とハブとの間の空間の密封を図るためのハブシールであって、
所定の範囲の回転数で回転する前記ハブベアリングにおける前記ハブシールのトルクの値であるトルクTを前記ハブベアリングの軸の径の値である軸径Dで除した値(トルクT/軸径D)が、3N以下であり、
泥水耐久摺動距離の値が、3000km以上であり、
前記異物耐久摺動距離は、異物が密封対象物側に滲み出るまでに、前記サイドリップが摺動する距離である、
ことを特徴とするハブシール。 - 所定の範囲の回転数で前記ハブベアリングが回転する際の前記トルクTが、前記所定の範囲の回転数よりも小さい回転数で前記ハブベアリングが回転する際の前記トルクTよりも小さくなくような形状を前記サイドリップは有しており、
前記小さくなった前記トルクTの大きさは、前記ハブシールの内部に侵入した異物が、前記ハブベアリングの回転によって外周側に移動する位置に基づいて設定されている、
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のハブシール。 - 前記サイドリップは、前記外輪及び前記ハブのうちの回転する方と共に回転するようになっており、また、内周側に面する面が前記密封のための接触面となるようになっている、
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のハブシール。 - 環状の部材であるスリーブを更に備え、
前記スリーブは、前記外輪及び前記ハブのうちの回転しない方に固定され、
前記サイドリップの前記接触面は、前記密封のために、前記スリーブに接触するようになっている、
ことを特徴とする請求項3に記載のハブシール。 - 前記ハブシールのトルクは、前記サイドリップの反力の値であるリップ反力に基づく前記サイドリップの摺動抵抗に抗して、前記ハブシールを回転させるために必要なトルクである、
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のハブシール。 - 前記ハブベアリングの前記軸は、前記外輪及び前記ハブのうちの回転する方が有する、
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のハブシール。
