このような実施例は、窒素又は硫黄が生成されないため、高純度のヨウ化水素をより容易に生成し得る。例えば、特開第4713895B2号は、貴金属系触媒によって触媒される水素ガス及びヨウ素蒸気を使用したガス相中のヨウ化水素の調製を示す。具体的には、開示される反応は、酸化マグネシウム、酸化チタン、酸化シリカ、アルミナ、及びジルコニアから選択される金属酸化物上に担持された、白金、ロジウム、パラジウム、及びルテニウムによって触媒され得る。しかしながら、ヨウ化水素の調製のための貴金属系触媒の使用は、一般的に高コストの貴金属のために製造コストを更に増加させるであろう。したがって、ヨウ化水素を製造するために水素とヨウ素との反応を触媒するための貴金属を含有しない代替的な金属触媒が必要とされている。
実施例1では、上記の等式3による、水素(H2)及び元素状ヨウ素(I2)からのヨウ化水素(HI)の製造は、反応条件の範囲にわたってアルミナ担持ニッケル触媒を使用して実証された。水素ガスとヨウ素蒸気との混合物を反応器に導入する前に、固定床管状反応器内の触媒を活性化させた。触媒を窒素ガスでパージし、続いて水素ガスを導入し、反応器を120℃に加熱し、2時間保持し、次に反応器温度を230℃まで昇温し、更に1時間保持することによって、触媒を活性化させた。次に、反応器の温度を所望の反応温度に調節した。水素の所定の固定流量を、最初に所定量の固体元素状ヨウ素を充填したヨウ素蒸発器へとバブリングした。ヨウ素蒸発器の温度は、ヨウ素蒸気を生成する150℃~170℃で制御された。蒸発器の温度及び水素流量を適宜調節して、水素とヨウ素との所望のモル比を得た。水素とヨウ素蒸気との混合物を反応器内へと供給して、触媒の存在下で反応させてヨウ化水素を形成した。次に、反応器流出物を二段法ヨウ素捕集器に通し、固体形態の任意の未反応ヨウ素を捕集した。次に、粗製ヨウ化水素生成物を含有するヨウ素捕集器流出物流をドライアイストラップ内で捕集した。ドライアイストラップからの流出物流を、脱イオン水を充填したスクラバーを通してバブリングして、未反応水素ガス流から残留ヨウ化水素を捕捉した。所定の期間後、システムを遮断し、ヨウ素蒸発器の重量減少及びヨウ素捕集器の重量増加を測定して、平均H2/I2供給モル比を計算した。残留時間を、水素とヨウ素との合わせた供給速度に基づいて計算し、変換率を、捕集したヨウ化水素及び反応器に供給されたヨウ素の量に基づいて計算した。
Claims (10)
- ヨウ化水素を生成するためのプロセスであって、
水素及びヨウ素を含む気相反応物質流を提供することと、
触媒の存在下で前記反応物質流を反応させて、ヨウ化水素を含む生成物流を生成することであって、前記触媒が、ニッケル、コバルト、鉄、酸化ニッケル、酸化コバルト、及び酸化鉄の群から選択される少なくとも1種を含み、前記触媒が担体上で担持される、ヨウ化水素を含む生成物流を生成することと、を含む、プロセス。 - 前記提供工程において、前記水素が、約500重量ppm未満の水及び約500重量ppm未満の酸素を含む、請求項1に記載のプロセス。
- 前記提供工程において、前記ヨウ素が、約500重量ppm未満の水を含む、請求項1に記載のプロセス。
- 前記提供工程において、前記反応物質流中の前記水素と前記ヨウ素とのモル比が約1:1~約10:1である、請求項1に記載のプロセス。
- 前記担体が、活性炭、シリカゲル、ゼオライト、炭化ケイ素、金属酸化物、又はこれらの組み合わせの群から選択される、請求項1に記載のプロセス。
- 前記担体が金属酸化物担体であり、前記金属酸化物担体が、アルミナ、酸化マグネシウム、酸化チタン、酸化亜鉛、ジルコニア、クロミア、及びこれらの組み合わせを含む、請求項5に記載のプロセス。
- 前記触媒がニッケルを含み、前記担体がアルミナである、請求項6に記載のプロセス。
- 前記生成物流が未反応ヨウ素を更に含み、前記プロセスが、追加の、
前記生成物流から前記未反応ヨウ素を固体ヨウ素として分離する工程と、
前記固体ヨウ素を加熱して液体ヨウ素を生成する工程と、
前記液体ヨウ素を前記反応物質流に戻す工程と、を更に含む、請求項1に記載のプロセス。 - 前記生成物流が未反応水素を更に含み、前記プロセスが、追加の、
前記生成物流から前記水素を分離する工程と、
前記分離した水素を前記反応物質流に戻す工程と、を更に含む、請求項8に記載のプロセス。 - 前記生成物流から前記水素を分離することが、
前記生成物流を圧縮することと、
前記圧縮された生成物流をフラッシュ冷却することと、を含む、請求項9に記載のプロセス。
