Abstract
Description

ポリマーAを以下のように形成した。500gのDI水を反応器(メカニカルスターラー、熱電対、コンデンサー、およびモノマーエマルジョンと添加剤溶液を供給するためのポンプを装備/接続した5L丸底フラスコ)に充填し、58℃に加熱した。段階1の重合のために、ME#1の実施例1A(実施例1から)を、すすぎとして34gのDI水とともに反応器に移した。
ポリマーBは、実施例1B(実施例1から)を段階1の重合に使用し、PVOH溶液の添加を中和剤スラリー添加後の保持の後、およびME#2シードの実施例2B(実施例2から)の充填前に行ったことを除いて、実施例3と同様の手順で形成した。基本特性:固体:44.4%、pH:7.8。
ポリマーCは、実施例3の手順と同様の手順で形成した。しかし、ME#1の組成は異なり(比較例1C(実施例1から)が使用された)、クロスリンカー、ALMAを含んでいた。基本特性:固体:43.1%、pH:7.88。
ポリマーDは、実施例3の手順と同様の手順によって形成された。しかし、ME#1の組成は異なり(比較例1D(実施例1から)が使用された)、クロスリンカー、ALMAを含んでいた。また、PVOH溶液を、段階2のモノマーエマルジョン(ME#2(比較例2D(実施例2から)))にブレンドされるように再充填し、段階2の重合中に反応器に徐々に計量した。基本特性:固体:44.0%、pH:7.39。
ポリマーEは、実施例4と同様の手順で形成した。しかし、ME#1の組成は異なり(比較例1E(実施例1から)が使用された)、クロスリンカー、ALMAを含んでいた。基本特性:固体:43.6%、pH:7.35。
実施例3~7で生成されたラテックスを、噴霧乾燥によって水再分散性ポリマー粉末に変換した。手順は以下の通りである。1050gのラテックス(44重量%)(例えば、実施例3~7)を、水50gに分散した4.6gのCa(OH)2のスラリーと、追加の水600gとともにブレンドした。pHは12~13に上がり、固形分は約27.5重量%であった。次いで、中和したエマルジョンを、ノズル(Spray Systems Company,Wheaton,ILのSU4)を備えたNiro Atomizer実験室噴霧乾燥機(GEA Process Engineering Inc.,Columbia,MD)で噴霧乾燥した。入口温度は175~185℃、出口温度は62~66℃であった。供給速度は60~80g/分であった。カオリンクレー(KAMIN(商標)HG-90は、KaMin LLC,Macon,GAから入手可能)は流動助剤であり、噴霧乾燥粉末中12~14重量%を目標とした。得られたRDPの基本特性を以下の表3に示す。
実施例8で生成したRDPをドライミックス配合および適用試験に供した。RDPは、三成分の水硬性バインダー(速硬化用の通常のPortlandセメント(OPC)+アルミン酸カルシウムセメント+石膏)中で、ドライミックス配合でブレンドされ、湿潤モルタル(水需要、密度、作業性)と硬化膜(引張と伸び、クラックブリッジング、水吸収)の両方の性能を評価した。結果を表5に示す。
Claims (15)
- エマルジョンポリマーであって、
アルカリ可溶性樹脂(ASR)を含むシェル部分と、
少なくとも1つの疎水性エチレン性不飽和モノマーの重合単位から形成されたコア部分であって、前記シェル部分と前記コア部分が組み合わされるときに、クロスリンカーが存在しない、コア部分と、
非イオン性水溶性ポリマーと、を含むエマルジョンポリマー。 - 前記ASRが、少なくとも1つの酸官能性モノマー、無水物官能性モノマー、それらの塩またはそれらの組み合わせの重合単位から形成される、請求項1に記載のエマルジョンポリマー。
- 前記ASRが、メタクリル酸メチル(MMA)およびメタクリル酸(MAA)を含む少なくとも1つの酸官能性モノマーの重合単位から形成される、請求項1に記載のエマルジョンポリマー。
- 前記ASRが、ASRの総質量の約5質量パーセント~約50質量パーセントのレベルの少なくとも1つの酸官能性モノマーの重合単位から形成される、請求項1に記載のエマルジョンポリマー。
- 前記ASRが、ASRの総質量の約10質量パーセント~約30質量パーセントのレベルの少なくとも1つの酸官能性モノマーの重合単位から形成される、請求項1に記載のエマルジョンポリマー。
- 酸形態の前記ASRのガラス転移温度(Tg)が、約70℃~約140℃である、請求項1に記載のエマルジョンポリマー。
- 前記シェル部分が、50,000以下の重量平均分子量を有する、請求項1に記載のエマルジョンポリマー。
- 前記少なくとも1つの疎水性エチレン性不飽和モノマーが、(メタ)アクリル酸アルキル、スチレン、および/またはビニルエーテルを含む、請求項1に記載のエマルジョンポリマー。
- 前記コア部分から生成されるポリマーのTgが、約-50℃~約60℃である、請求項1に記載のエマルジョンポリマー。
- ASR:コアの質量比が、約2:98~約50:50の範囲にある、請求項1に記載のエマルジョンポリマー。
- 非イオン性水溶性ポリマーの前記ASRプラスコアに対する質量比が、約0.5部~約20部の非イオン性水溶性ポリマー対約100部のASRプラスコアの範囲にある、請求項1に記載のエマルジョンポリマー。
- 非イオン性水溶性ポリマー対ASRプラスコアの質量比が、約1部~約10部の範囲にある、請求項1に記載のエマルジョンポリマー。
- 前記非イオン性水溶性ポリマーが、ポリビニルアルコール(PVOH)である、請求項1に記載のエマルジョンポリマー。
- 前記エマルジョンポリマーが、低レベルのASRグラフト化および高レベルのPVOHグラフト化を示す、請求項1に記載のエマルジョンポリマー。
- セメント系組成物であって、
(i)請求項1~14のいずれか一項に記載のエマルジョンポリマー、または(ii)請求項1~14のいずれか一項に記載のエマルジョンポリマーを含む噴霧乾燥粉末および前記噴霧乾燥粉末の約1重量%~約30重量%の範囲で存在する流動助剤と、
三成分の水硬性バインダーと、を含むセメント系組成物。
